First time coming here on Saturday 7/24 and I was very satisfied with everything my family and I got! My husband got the Carmel Cream I believe it was called and he said it was so good! I got recommended by the nice girl working the counter to try the strawberry matcha and I added the boba to it and oh man let me tell you it was the best drink I've ever got at a boba shop! It wasn't too sweet or too bland it was perfect! Then I asked for their non caffeine drinks because my son is only 3 years old and she recommended us a lemonade and also to add watermelon flavor in it. He seemed to enjoy it. I really like this place and it's one of my go to boba spots. The grasshopper is my personal fav so far. Every time I've come the drinks have been good, made well etc. the inside is clean, and their ordering system is easy to follow and puts less stress on the workers I assume (kiosk) They have a wide selection of drinks as well. It was my first time trying Teaspoon today, and I was actually very surprised that the menu was so big. I was feeling a little indecisive, so I asked Kaylee for her favorite drinks. She kindly described what their matcha options are (because I love matcha) and offered some alternative drinks if I didn't want the matcha. I opted for the matcha strawberry and it was so good!! I went during their grand opening to check their drinks! I got silky mango for myself, the liquid gold for my brother, and the strawberry colada smoothie for my parents. My parents enjoyed the smoothie and said they liked it! I thought the silky mango was kind of average. We ordered a Thai tea, the Silky mango, and some food from the pop up by Yubu Yum ( the spicy pork, bulgogi beef, and lemon pepper salmon yubu). Everything was delicious! The boba was the perfect texture and sweetness. They also provide non-dairy and lactose safe options ( lactose-free and oatmilk). The teas are not heavy on the sweetness compared to some places. The boba was alright but it was EXTREMELY HOT in the store today making it impossible to enjoy. I don't know if the A/C was broken or what, but it was really bad. The only reason this review even gets a star is because Anna was AMAZING. She got us our drinks quickly and was super kind, professional and apologetic about the situation. I love that this place is open late when I'm lookin' for a close-to-midnight snack. My favorite might be "Liquid Gold!" It's super central to the Arden-Arcade area being close to one of the biggest and best plazas of the area. However, given I might come for a late night snack, it would be nice if Teaspoon gets a few more decaf flavors that aren't so berry-flavored (just not a personal fan of berries lol) for when I don't really need a pick-me-up, especially now as I'm getting older and the caffeine is starting to actually keep me awake for too long thereafter. read more
