I've been on the hunt for a hairstylist here in Kitsap County and I've finally found one! The atmosphere of Tease Salon is very warm welcoming. I didn't feel awkward at all even though it was my first time and the girls were all very upbeat and talkative (which I love). Scheduling the appointment was easy and I did it over the phone. They have good COVID-19 procedures and the salon was clearly clean and well kept. Now for the most important part... I had gone in with hip length hair and wanted a drastic change after being in quarantine for so long. My hair is 2c wavy/curly, so I'm always pretty hesitant about letting people cut my hair, but Karatrina put me at ease by going over my style goals at the start of the appointment. I wanted shoulder length hair so it would be easier for me to manage my hair. She explained what she was doing at each point and also shared stuff about her own life. I was very comfortable and felt like I have been going to this salon for years. I ended up styling my hair myself when I got home because curly hair is just tricky to style, but she did diffuse my hair so I didn't leave with wet hair! I am more than pleased with my hair! Just had a great morning visit at Tease with Kiki. I came here based on the good reviews and had to share what a great experience I also had. Warm and friendly right when you walk in! And I'll definitely be coming back to Kiki. She really listened and asked thoughtful questions about what I want and what fits best for my lifestyle. And she worked with my thin-but-curly hair with confidence. I'm also trying to grow out old color and get back to something natural but with some subtle flattering light and Kiki made a plan for exactly how to go forward. I love my cut, I can't wait for my next visit, and highly recommend Tease and especially Kiki! Kiki did a wonderful job on my hair! I had my color formulas from my previous salon in a different state and she did an amazing job taking that formula, making it her own, while giving me what I wanted. She explained everything she was doing which was great because I've had some horrible hair salon experiences. She was funny and full of life and I could hardly believe I was there for 3 hours because the time went by so quickly and so enjoyably. Tease is such an adorable salon in Manette with great views of the water. So lucky to have found this great salon and wonderful hair stylist in my first try in a new area. First timer, went about a month ago. I had Mindy for stylist, she is AWESOME! I have natural curly hair and decided to get bangs this time. She cut my bangs correctly & skillfully. She advised to come in every 2 weeks for a FREE bang trim! Mindy also showed me tips on how to style my bangs at home & it actually works! Atmosphere is classy yet simple. Will definitely be getting my color there in future because she mentioned a technique to highlight black hair w/o bleaching- a bit more pricey for this, but that's fine. Parking a bit tight. I get my hair balayaged and cut by Dana Lynn. Not only does she do an awesome job, I have so much fun talking to her while she spiffs up my mane. The other employees are fun to chat with as well. The salon is on the small side, cozy, and clean. They are currently taking multiple steps to prevent the spread of COVID as best they can which is great. Been to a couple salons and none really made an impression. I Decided to come here because of the reviews and to support businesses in my neighborhood. After my first visit, my hair wasn't as light as I imagined it would be and was a lil bummed. My stylist contacted me the next day and offered for me to come back and rehighlight my hair, free of charge! My hair looks amazing now. Best it's ever looked. The people here are so nice! I decided to get my hair done professionally recently....it's been a long time since a professional has touched my hair. So, I decided to just get it dye'd some vibrant colors....teal, purple, green...I wanted it to look like the ocean. I've heard good things about this place and i know a couple people who have worked here/currently work here. This place is down the street from my house and I often pass by it on when walking to work. The ladies that work here always wave and say hi. Michelle is who I choose to do my hair, since i am more familiar with her and she does some of my friend's hair. At first, I am pretty skeptic. I don't trust many hair stylists because they always think that they know best and when it comes to unique hair styles and color, often times, they do not. They generally will take what you want and change it into what they think looks better, even if it isn't what you wanted. This was not the case with Michelle, I told her what I wanted, and then gave her a bit of free reign to see where she went with it. After about 10 minutes, I took a look at what direction she was going and it was spot on. She was confident, nice, and professional...she also checked in with me asking my opinions to make sure I was happy. My hair looks crazy amazing awesome....i'm super stoked. read more

I have had Kiki a few times and I love her work. I'm really picky about my hair because I'm a fake blonde and of course I always need more blonde every time I go haha. The prices are very reasonable for what she does and she always tries really hard to get my hair like the pictures I show. Tonight was my third visit to Tease Salon. My original stylist moved out of state so I tried someone else, Dana Lynne, and was very impressed! I had this ombre thing going on with my hair from grow-out and she really took the time to perfectly highlight and blend my hair into to a gorgeous blonde shade. She genuinely listened to what I wanted and provided her suggestions without coming across as pushy. I'm obsessed with my color but she also did a fantastic job with the cut and style. This is a fantastic salon! First, I should warn you that at the time I wrote this review the address is incorrect on Yelp. Same neighborhood and easy to find, head north on Wheaton Way from the roundabout for a couple blocks. The salon is on your left, it has a big sign and a parking area out front. It is in a cute old house. The salon has a very friendly atmosphere. It's in this cute old house that has been remodeled so that its perfect for a hair salon. Some of the chairs overlook the water. When I was in there were three little kids getting their hair done for Santa photos. The salon was busteling with people and there was a really friendly atmosphere. I had my hair cut by Michelle, a basic trim, keep it is as long as you can, just get rid of the dead ends, same haircut I've had since I was little. Michelle did exactly what I asked that but she also carefully cut layers (after she asked me if it was ok). I've had layers before and I afterwards I couldn't see the difference. Michelle did an excellent job, I don't think I have ever loved my haircut so much! I live out of town, but I will go out of my way to come back to this salon the next time I need a cut. read more

It is clean and super homey looking in there, not to mention the beautiful body length mirrors and the awesome music playlist. Being in there felt comfortable, which is super important to me as a client. I had my hair cut & dyed by Dana and she did a beautiful job. She asked what I wanted, I told her, and she made it happen. So friendly and professional, she offered me water/coffee and made sure I was comfortable. Not only is she a master of the scissors, but she knew her stuff. She gave me hair-tips and facts that I will definitely try out. This is my second time seeing Kiki and I am super happy to have her as a stylist. The fist time was a cut and she did a wonderful job and gave me exactly what I asked for. The second time I went in for partial highlights and I love them. She asked me several questions to make sure we both understood what I wanted, she is always patient and kind. She was running a little behind, but never made me feel rushed and took her time to make sure I was happy with my color and adjusting it as needed. There's an earlier review on here from me from when Kellie was there. But, now that Kellie has, sadly, departed, I see Nicole who is CRAZYSUPERAWESOME talented. Just had color done for both me and my clip in extensions. Nicole gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and added SO much dimension. Judy, the owner, is always just SO friendly and helpful. She stepped in to help with the extensions because it was just a really big job dying 300+ grams of hair (my head + the extensions). Needless to say, I'm super happy once again. Tease is the ONLY salon over here that I"ll let touch my head. After years of going to high end salons in Seattle and San Francisco, I'm pretty picky about the level of expertise a stylist has, and how friendly the environment is. Tease salon is one of the cutest little salons I've ever been to. The location is amazing with a great view of the water! My stylist was Karatrina Luxe and she was absolutely stellar! I went in with damaged, dry gross hair, I knew I needed to cut off a lot and was apprehensive, but Karatrina put me right at ease. She cut off alittle at a time making sure she didnt go shorter than I wanted. She was so sweet and understanding. She did a beautiful job on my color, mixing different tones and painting effects to create a seriously one of a kind highlight/balayage situation! She took the time to make sure the color was right, adding toners to cut down any brassiness, and making sure I wouldn't have a harsh grow out line. When the color was done she worked even more on shaping and texturing my cut until it fit my face and the idea I came in with! It took a few hours but when it was all said and done I had the best haircut/color I've ever gotten! I will be back again and again and I recommend Karatrina to anyone who needs a good day in the salon! She will blow you away and exceed your expectations! read more

I went in and saw Dana Lynn, and she did an awesome job with my hair. She took the brassiness in the blond in my ombré color down to where it blended more naturally. (I feel this is an important thing to mention, as I've had some awkward experiences with this sort of thing in my past) I saw McKenzie yesterday for my first hair cut in about 2 years. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. She was very thorough in finding out what I wanted and my hair history. After a relaxing shampoo we got to work. She made sure to explain everything she was doing and checking to see if I was okay. Once my long hair had been trimmed it was time for the blow drying. I have extremely long thin hair so it took a while, but she was a real trooper about it! Then came time for some bangs. I haven't had bangs in a long time so I was a little anxious about it, but she continued to check with me with how I wanted it parted, and taking it shorter or not; she didn't just go hacking away like some stylists out there. Because it was so long she wanted to give it some curl, which I haven't really had before but I was really excited about that. After it was all done she whipped the chair around and I looked like a totally different person (in a good Princess Diaries sort of way). I've had two compliments from strangers since I left the salon and my husband really loved it and couldn't stop staring at me which was really creepy, but also awesome. I would definitely recommend going to Tease and seeing McKenzie, but I think all the stylists there are probably great. I saw three other people having their hair done while I was there, different hair types and requests, and they were all very happy and looked great. All the girls there are friendly, funny and easy to talk to. I will definitely be back in a couple of months when I need another trim, though she did mention I can come back for a complimentary bang trim, so I may be back before then. read more

I have been going to this salon for about a year, and I highly recommend it. Judy (the owner) is fantastic, fun, and fabulous. She doesn't just give me the "same old thing" every time--she is open to looking at pictures and getting funky with cut and color. She stocks a supply of the "fun" colors I like and so we can switch it up any time. All that AND she can give me a cut that doesn't require a lot of daily maintenance because I own no hair tools. A lot of stylists can give a great cut and style, but then it is impossible to maintain on your own! Not so here--tell her that you want low maintenance, and that is what she will give you! I love the relaxed atmosphere, great view, free tea/coffee, and conversation. I also like that they never try to push products on you but are happy to make recommendations based on what you need. read more

All I can say once I'm finished getting my hurr did is "MECCA, MECCA, MECCA!!!" I finally got tired of my barbers not listening to me and doing their own thing with my hair.. so I decided to try out Mecca, and I honestly couldn't be more happy with the outcome!! It's like she was reading my mind.( I am terrible at describing my haircuts, but she killed that shiz) My favorite part about the haircut is she takes her time to perfect your hair. You don't really see many cosmetologists these days that really care about anything other than the tips. Her funny, spunky and cute personality is an awesome bonus too!!
