Went here looking at some side by sides. After getting the run around of someone who actually wants to help, came to a dead end!!! The associate had no knowledge of anything I asked, she said lets go inside so we went then she asked for my information and i was thinking i would be told the price of the side by side. Came in, knew what we wanted, still took two full business days to get these bikes. Took the service team over 3 hours to get the bikes ready after waiting 6 full hours to get everything said and done. We were told that it wouldn't take more than an hour for the service team to get our bikes ready and they were aware of our time crunch. But by 5pm, the bikes still weren't ready to be loaded up, after they said the prep started at 2:30. At 4:50 They said "the battery was bad on the bike, so it had to be changed and then it needed to charge overnight". If they had actually started servicing the bike at the time they had said, they would have figured out the battery was faulty prior to 4:50pm. The Manager, Chris, proceeded to call and say "well it was your choice to wait here all day". You would think that if someone is walking in and wanting to drop 20k on the same day they would be a little nicer about the inconvenience that THEY caused. They did however, deliver the bike they were servicing the next day which was nice. (saving us a third 2 hour drive in a span of 3 days). It Seems like the only individuals who were attentive and wanted to help was John and the lady who deals with finance. You would think, that a toy dealership would want to sell as many items as possible, especially in this economy. But I guess you can't even pay people to do their job correctly. They then claimed I purposely dented the exhaust and when I protested they told me to watch my language... really??? After a back and forth with the general manager they finally agreed to replace the exhaust Tuesday, but still claim that "I damaged it". Not what I wanted to deal with on a Saturday when I just wanted Tires... You're better off heading to Cycle Gear or hitting up a local shop. read more

I see a lot of bad reviews for TPS but I have to say my experience was/is much different from others. What brought me into TPS was an issue I had with my sons mini-bike. While not their specialty they went out of the way to help service the issue I had. Based on that, when it came time to buy a Jetski I knew where I would go. Their price on the Jetski was fair. They came in with a number, but we asked them to come down a bit and they did. Financing went smooth all thought they were very busy that day. I opted to come back later the next day when my schedule was free. Had to wait a bit again but once in the door we were out in about 15 minutes. Service on the jetski has been great. I bought the service plan which i know many times is a rip off but it was my first jet ski and don't know much about them. When it came time to winterize they came to my house and picked up the jet ski. They have now done the same in reverse as it was prepared for this season. I even had performance part installed at a reasonable price. Every company can have an issue from time to time. It is how they correct that issue that sets them apart. read more

Review of Team Powersports Service Department On Wednesday morning, July 20, 2022, I arrived at Team Powersports at 222 Highway 70 East in Garner, North Carolina by means of a wrecker. The wrecker service was towing my 2015 Can Am Spyder RTL motorcycle for a 9:30 AM appointment to get a battery. I was told a diagnostic would be done to see if the battery was the problem and if it was the battery, they did not have any in stock until late August and I could leave the bike there for the 45 days. I wished I had been told that when making the appointment. I asked if the Service Department could call some local auto parts stores and obtain a battery. Izaiah Gentry, the service writer, informed me he would not call but I could call and see if I could find one. I called the local Auto Zone store and found the battery was in stock. I asked Izaiah about Team Powersports providing me transportation less than two miles to the store for me to pick up the battery and was told it would not be provided but that I could hire an Uber. I ordered an Uber to take me and then an Uber to take me back to Team Powersports. The purchase at Auto Zone was at 535 Highway 70 East, Garner was 2:04 PM. I took the battery back to have installed only to learn from the Service Department that diagnostics were still going on and afterwards they would put the battery in the bike. I sat there until after 4:30 and asking many times when the bike would be ready and got Izaiah only to say they were still working the diagnostics. I only got success when Sara Walker, the sales manager, came by and saw me sitting there asked if she could help me and I explained I had been there since 9:30 AM waiting on battery, had to provide my own Uber service, go purchase my own battery, and bring back to Service Department to put in three hours earlier. Sara went to check on what was going on and came back they were in process of putting battery in the bike. Still the Service Manager nor Izaiah would give me any updates. At 5:17 PM I was able to check out for a cost $159.15 but when I asked for a detailed report of the diagnostics that lasted all day I was given none. Three times during the day when garage door was open no one was working on the motorcycle at all. It was as if I was kept at Team Powersports as a hostage all day knowing they could have gone the first thing in the morning and obtained the battery from a parts store and refused and had me to do all the running for them at my expense and still charge me labor for doing the work for them. It looks like Team Powersports does not like working with a customer - I am a first-time customer and a last time customer of Team Powersports. - Steve read more

I went back and forth between 2 and 3 stars on this one and settled on 3 for a couple of reasons, 1. This was my husband and my first experience here and 2. The employees were friendly. My husband took his motorcycle to have new tires put on, an 8,000 mile checkup and an inspection. I followed him there, so he could drop the bike off and waited.....and waited.....and waited. Again, the employees were very friendly, but took a LONG time to get his information and payment. My husband was told they would call as soon as the bike was ready to be picked up and it would likely be that night or first thing the next morning. The next day, after not hearing from anyone, my husband called them in the evening. He was told the bike was done, but they close in 45 minutes. Ummm, thanks for the call! We ended up having to wait until Monday to pick the bike up, since they are closed on Sunday. I drove my husband back Monday afternoon and again waited....and waited (you get the idea). It turns out they didn't do the inspection. Apparently the employee who worked on his bike is not certified to perform inspections. Okay, so why didn't someone else do it in the three days the bike was sitting there? It only took about 10 minutes for the inspection (not sure how thorough that was), which they did while we waited. Since this was our first experience here, I'm sure my husband will go back again. Hopefully I can give an updated, better review next time. read more

Stopped here today to see new yamaha fz9 my first visit where a salesperson did not attack like a used car lot, the person I talk to was nice and no pressure but I bought a honda this summer and saved over $1300 going to Honda dealer in rockingham, by the time they add on dealer fees you are looking at least $1000 over retail to buy a motorcycle here! My husband made an appointment to have routine service done and a new tire put on the front of his bike. They took the bike back (while he waited) and it was only after it was taken apart that they admitted they didn't even have the front tire. Had he known that when he got there (or better yet, before), he could have rescheduled or gone somewhere else. He also asked them to inspect the bike, and they "forgot" then acted like they where being put out by the reminder. I would also like to add that they charge more for labor, but since his tire really needed to be replaced, he took it to the nearest place. Now he has to make another round trip to get what he ordered in the first place. Talking to the person in charge got him a half-hearted "sorry". He could have at least offered some compensation for his time and frustration. (I personally wouldn't go back there for that tire if they were giving them away!) TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

bought a 2015 Yamaha R6 a couple of weeks ago. Tried to ride it for the first time Friday the battery was no good wouldn't start. Tried to jump it... the bike did start but when i got to an intersection the bike cut off would not start and was leaking ANTI-Freeze! State trooper had to hold traffic so i can push it to the sidewalk. Why on earth would you sell crap bikes? I buy used bikes all the time... this is the first and last time i would buy from them. went in with a buddy to purchase a ca am four wheeler. listed sales price on the 4 wheeler was 7800.00. after speaking with the salesman he stated that the cost if financed would be a little over 11k. we asked for a break down and got this, cost of unit was 7800, assembly fee was 1000, doc fee was 699, administrative fee another 699, grandma's new dental fee, sunshine fee and let's not forget about tax. then we ask how it's all 11k with finance and he says it $38 difference. In short, the staff is nice and friendly and informative. HOWEVER, do NOT give them your phone number. They will call you RELENTLESSLY to try and sell you a bike. My fiancee and I went in to take a look at some bikes to see what she was into. We were approached by a younger girl. She was really informative, patient, and walked my fiancee through the pros and cons of cruiser versus sport and super sport. Though, she tried telling her that a sport bike was going to be a more comfortable ride than a cruiser. This rubbed me the wrong way because I had first mentioned we planned to go on long rides together. I don't care who you are but riding on a sport bike (mind you not a super sport) is uncomfortable after 2 and a half to 3 hours. And don't get me wrong, I love sport bikes! I just thought it would be odd for me to have an m109R and her with a 600cc sport bike. The fiancee of course falls in love with a Yamaha Fz6r and the next day we go on to look for used ones and eventually buy one. The bike is fun but the 2.5 hour drive back from Charlotte was not so pleasant. All in all, great team but this girl we spoke to has literally called us 25 times in less than a month. She has called 2-3 times a day more than once. I think after just 2 weeks of not answering or calling back after your 10 voicemail messages should be a good enough hint. read more

Worst customer service ever. They said they will get back to me in 3 days, never called back and kept my motorcycle for 2 weeks. I had to call each time to ask them what are they doing with it. They had not even looked at it for 10 of those days. Plus, they have a $150 minimum diagnostic plus they charge $25 as shop fee - which is a fee for using their wrinches and screw drivers etc. Just ridiculous. Never going back there again. read more

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We brought our 2018 Sea Doo here . A very large dealer in NJ fixed it after an accident to the tune of $6000. Our son had moved to NC during the time it was being fixed ( almost 2 months) very first time he took it out it didn't steer to left. NJ dealer requested videos so we took it out again to take video and it started overheating. Turns out NJ dealer didn't put steering cable on correctly nor did they connect coolant line. Nathan and his team were nothing but helpful in this matter. They went above and beyond and I have to say they were the nicest people to ever deal with. Our son just took the ski out for the very first time after being repaired correctly and it is running like it's brand new. Thank you Nathan, Dylan , Ian and whoever else was involved at Team Powersports. You can guarantee we will be back there for any maintenance or work that is needed also if we are ready to make a purchases. read more

In a country far too often plagued with less than stellar customer service, I felt the need to take the time and write a review of TPS, as they went above and beyond to ensure a terrific experience for me. After being ignored by a different branded powersports place less than a mile from me in Pittsboro, to the extent the gentleman wouldn't even look at me while talking, I took to the internet to find my daughter a go kart for her birthday, which was in two days and also happened to be a holiday weekend. I knew the odds of getting something great, assembled, and to the house in time was going to be a challenge. Due to my poor experience with the local place in Pittsboro, I chose to email TPS in Garner and negotiate what I wanted via email. We quickly agreed on a model and price, deposit was put in place, and TPS Garner started assembly. The go kart would be ready for pick-up the morning of her birthday. I've negotiated and bought cars online, and the experience with TPS was just as easy. But it got much better . . Upon arrival on a Saturday morning at TPS Garner, driving a Jeep Wrangler with a trailer in tow and two 12 year old girls who had no idea why we were there . . the surprise was unveiled. My daughter was ecstatic, as was her friend. EVERYONE we met that day was extremely friendly and engaging, not just to myself, but also the two girls. At TPS Garner, the customers really do come first . . no matter male, female, young or old. We felt welcomed. But it still gets better . . I checked out the specs on the go kart beforehand. I measured my trailer. It *should* have fit. It didn't. The spec sheet was incorrect (really, I measured twice!). I'd just driven 45 min (Pittsboro to Garner) to pick up this amazing surprise, and couldn't get it home. I found a U-Haul place with a trailer big enough in downtown Raleigh. I unhooked my trailer to leave it at TPS Garner, put the kids back in the Jeep, and went to pick up the trailer 15 min away. In case anyone was wondering, U-Haul doesn't rent to "soft top cars". The Jeep is a soft top. No one in the Jeep was a happy camper. On the way back to TPS Garner to pick up my trailer and figure out another plan to get the go kart the following week, I called them to let them know the U-Haul "soft top" policy. They hadn't heard of it either, and asked for 10 min to figure something out and they would call back. They did . . and they offered to follow me to Pittsboro that day and deliver it for me. I cannot begin to explain how truly amazing an offer this was. It's reassuring that really good people still exist in this crazy world we live in, and it speaks volumes for the focus TPS Garner puts on its customers and their experience. It was also an incredible act of kindness that the kids witnessed . . to help them further understand the importance of putting others before themselves. I believe we should all treat each other with dignity, respect, and kindness. To receive great customer service, you should also strive to be a great customer. A little bit of kindness goes a long way. The owner / employees of TPS Garner have obviously figured it out. I will gladly recommend them to anyone in the market for your first, or next, outdoor toy! Horrible experience!!!! They will not be getting any of our business. They called my husband's job to verify income ( ok no biggy) but they asked his CO-WORKER ( NOT HR or his boss) if he really worked there, if he knew if he was salary or hourly, and if he possibly knew how much he made, even after my husband provided her with 3 pay stubs for proof. She was unprofessional! My husband co-worker comes to him the next day asking what was he trying to purchase. All the sales guys were good and very polite, but Chris the finance manager or sales manager, whoever he was was the absolute RUDEST guy there. He was very short and definitely could tell he wasn't interested in helping us out. A lot of it probably had to do with age since me and my boyfriend are in our early 20's. But that's okay. We left there at 2:45 after they wasted 4 hours of our day and went to Performance East and purchased the same exact four-wheeler for 2000 dollars less than what Team Powersports had to offer and Performance East took less than 45 minutes. I came in for cam chain repair, two tires, spark plugs and oil change... after the "repair" my Honda F4i sounded like a Buel.. Took it back and in less than 10 mins they wheeled it back out and said that nothing was wrong with it and that my other worn parts are causing the difference.. i spent over $400 and there was no regard for the quality of work.. long story short.. the manager said he couldnt do anything unless i wanted to pay for more repairs...i took it to what is MotoMax now (then it was something else).. and in 2 minutes the service guy called me out to show me that the cam tensioner wasnt even hand tightened.. i was lucky not to ruin the engine according to him.. he had me rolling in 15mins.. sounded like a regular sport bike after that.. read more

Went to Team Powersports in Garner with a friend as he is ready to purchase a sport bike or a standard bike. He had just test rode a Triumph Street Triple at another dealer and loved Honda sport bikes, particularly the CBR 600RR. Well, we found out the dealer wont let people test ride sport bikes. They said past experiences were not good and their insurance wont cover these bikes. It is too bad, because we are not young irresponsible folk....This sends a bad message to YAMAHA and HONDA especially....and it makes us not to want to have anything to do with these makes....and that's the tragedy.....I personally don't give a heck about this dealership as they are profiling people on these types of bikes...... read more

Getting regular service here is first come first serve only-waited 3.5 hours for service. While waiting talked to a guy that was first in line and he'd been waiting 2.5 hours. What a shame. Also, purchased brand new bike there and said we didn't want the extended service plan ($1025), but it was added anyway, didn't pay close enough attention upon signing and got the contract in the mail nearly 6 weeks later saying we'd gotten it. Had to drive in to have it cancelled and was told they add it to their sales automatically. Beware of this added contract. Bad business practices. read more

Went in late on a Saturday afternoon for an inspection, this was the only chance to get it done due to working away from home. My inspection failed on account of a burned out license plate bulb. Parts are usually not stocked for this bike but Jackie in the parts department did some research and found another brand bulb that would work. I swapped out the bulb and two technicians stayed past closing to reinspect and process the inspection without me asking them to. Thanks again for excellent service! read more

Absolutely horrible. I paid more and ordered my parts online with them b/c they were somewhat local and delivery might take less time. It had been over a week and I never received an email w/ a tracking number so I sent an email in requesting it. They said that they had to order the parts from Kawasaki (never told me) and that they will get them in today and I'll receive them tomorrow. I never got them. I called the next week and they lied, said that they sent me an email over the weekend (never got one) that they cancelled my order b/c they couldn't get the parts. When I asked for the details on the email, like datestamp, etc., they wouldn't tell me and said that I should just check my email again. Stay away from this company. Unfortunately, I looked up all these reviews after the fact and now I know why they AVERAGE 2 STARS on multiple review websites. read more

Horrible service department. We purchased an ATV in November and it has been in the shop multiple times because it keeps having issues. They have lied to us on multiple occasions. Our ATV has a tracking device (that they sold us) and we get text alerts when anyone even bumps it. When I called to ask where it was since they said it would be delivered earlier that day, I was told it was on a truck out for delivery, but my phone said otherwise. They've also said that they've worked on it and took it for a test drive and I didn't get a single text alert saying it has been touched. When I have called I was talked over and not listened to and my mother had the same experience, however when my father called he was still lied to, but they at least treated him with respect. I fully regret purchasing this lemon of an ATV from this horrible dealership. read more

This is the only place near Raleigh that has Yamaha and Honda dealerships, plus they will gladly order you any parts for Kawasaki and Suzuki from their other location in Smithfield. They are expanding, adding another location soon on Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh. They have been at the Garner location for many years and you can depend on them being there for your service and parts after you buy. They have a lot of salespeople and mechanics, so you are not stuck with just one guy like some other dealers. They have free food and bikini bike washes some weekends, and lots of demo weekends. These are nice folks and you won't find a better deal in Raleigh! read more
