And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

We always have a great experience-we love the cozy, quaint atmosphere of the tea room. We visited today for the Mother's Day Queen's Tea. I called to make a reservation 2 months in advance since they book up so quickly. In general, reservations are recommended as seating is limited, especially on weekends. When you arrive, you are presented with a prix-fix menu. On non-holidays, you usually have a choice between the soup or the salad of the day. You select your pot of tea from over 60 premium tea flavors. Today, I chose the "Paris" special tea, which had notes of vanilla, caramel, and bergamot. For the Mother's Day Queen's Tea, we had the broccoli and cheddar quiche, a pear, goat cheese, candied walnut, mixed green salad, scones, assorted mini sandwiches, and several mini desserts. Every course was fresh and excellent. The caramel scones are one of the best things I have ever eaten. They are served warm with clotted cream and lemon curd. The caramel is so goey and melts in your mouth. We brought some orange juice and prosecco to have mimosas with our tea. They have glassware in the back that you can request when making your reservation. The service is always top-notch. Holly is the best server! She is super sweet and always hardworking. At the entrance, there is a little gift shop with lots of cute vintage items, tea-themed trinkets, and some of the loose lea tea available in small bags. We love coming here and hope to be back again soon. BEWARE: Confirm pricing before booking…read more We had a 4:00 PM reservation on December 7th for 2 adults and 3 children under age 10, booked by phone. At no point during the reservation call, upon arrival, or during the meal were we told that this was a special holiday event priced at $60 per person, with no children's pricing, even for preschool-age kids. No menu or pricing was provided at the table. We only learned of the cost at checkout, which was extremely surprising given the pricing publicly listed elsewhere. We expected to pay $21.95 per child. Imagine our shock to be charged $60 (for a 4 year old who barely even ate anything!) That said, the tea itself was enjoyable, and we really appreciated their ability to accommodate gluten-free and nut allergies, which they handled well. The variety of teas was impressive. Afterward, I emailed the owner to raise these concerns and was told he would look into it, but I never received a follow-up. He said the pricing is on their website and social media but on their website it's buried in the events page and I don't follow their social media. I made a phone call and booked a tea reservation and didn't expect to have to cross reference multiple online sources for accurate pricing. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency and follow through overshadowed the experience and left us with a pour taste for what should have been a lovely holiday treat. Strongly recommend confirming exact price per person and asking specifically about event pricing when booking by phone, especially around holidays.

Welcoming lobby with tea themed gifts to purchase set the tone for your awaited tea service. Staff is family friendly and so attentive making sure your coats are hung and your comfort is addressed. We enjoyed a mid morning seating on a cozy winter Saturday. The tea room, a converted front parlor room of the house is decorated with charming English nods to the queen and tea. About a half dozen tables are set with crisp linen and china. Menu is simple and straight forward. I highly recommend the Tea for Two, or the deluxe version of this if you're really hungry! Tea offerings are plentiful and loose tea brewed. Very authentic! We each got a different flavor of tea under the advice of our wonderful server Dana! Because tea pots are bottomless we were able to sample and share a variety! Highly recommend their Windsor blend as well as the peppermint teas. Soup and quiche of the day were delicious to say the least. Warm creamy tomato bisque and fluffy broccoli cheese quiche started us off. Followed in a timely but not rushed second course of a three tiered tea plate filled with perfectly executed sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and dainty bite size sweet treats. Crustless, finger sandwiches were filled with creations like the Queen's coronation chicken salad, egg salad, and apple cheddar salad, strawberry cream cheese and cucumber slices. Heavenly! Fresh baked scones were light and fluffy inside and buttery and lightly crisp on the outside. Dainty sweet treats included butterscotch mousse, salted caramel macrons, butterfly tea cakes and caramel chocolate shortbread. Portions are plentiful but not overwhelming. We each took a small box of a few bites that weren't able to be finished. Overall we can't say enough good things about this lovely hidden gem right on Rt 15. It was worth the hour drive and every penny spent. We're looking forward to coming back and enjoying this tea house and their lovely staff many more times in the future.

The tea was good too although I couldn't finish mine since there was so much of it lol. Maybe they can think about having to go cups? Or if they do offer them at the end of service. When we arrived we were told it would be just a few minutes as we were early. No problem! We had no agenda so that was completely fine. However, our reservation was at 1pm and we did not get seated until 1:30pm. It would not have been as bad if one of the staff simply came out to say sorry we will get you seated as soon as we can. There was literally no contact with anyone. We kept poking our heads around to make sure they knew we were there. The worst part was there were numerous open tables. I would've been fine had they sat us as given us some water vs. just waiting in the waiting room Once we were seated, our waitress was as pleasant as anyone could be. Very very kind. We ordered the winter tea service and started out with the tea sandwiches. They were very tasty as was the tea. Because we were so hungry we finished everything before the scones arrived. Once they arrived, they nice and warm which was a nice touch. However, the inside was still raw and doughy. I picked around it as best I could. The pianist was a nice addition. I just wish, especially with this being a surprise that it would have a better experience.

The photos and menu looked great - I had no idea they only opened a couple months ago, until our server mentioned it. You wouldn't guess it, based on the attention to detail and how smoothly everything runs. It's a lovely space. They take your coats, give you purse hooks, and have a piano player jazzing up the ambiance with mellow yet uplifting tunes. The table was set perfectly with china and all the accessories you need with tea. There is a fancy/classy, yet casual, vibe. We were excited to find out we could both pick our own teas and that we didn't have to agree on one tea service (for food). The scones and treats were the same on all, but the sandwich selection varied on the three different afternoon tea menus. I opted for the "classic", which came with coronation chicken salad, ham/cheddar/mango chutney, cucumber, smoked salmon, and egg salad sandwiches. My husband got the "teas around the world" which came with Brie/apple/honey, ham/gruyere/dijon, olive tapenade/sundried tomato, chickpea/tzatziki, and a spiced chicken sandwich. All were excellent!! And when we finished, they even offered us more if we wanted them. The teas were great! We were allowed to pick our own teas (didn't have to share) from a broad menu of teas. The owner buys direct in London to get some of the finest teas that are not available locally. I am caffeine free so opted for Marian Wright Edelman's Guardian's Grace, a fruity herbal tea that was relaxation in a teacup for me. My husband first tried the Elizabeth Cady Stanton's Strength Blend, and the also had Mary McLeod Bethune's Essence of Uplift. They were all different, but all very tasty, and perfectly brewed. It also wasn't lost on me that the teas were named after amazingly strong women throughout history, and that we were enjoying them at a woman owned business, on International Women's Day! The scones were delivered fresh out of the oven with your choice of clotted cream, jam, or lemon curd (YES to all, please!) or also butter. The pastries I believe are a rotating selection, but all were tasty bites. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and hospitable. It's a nice easy pace, with two hours reserved for your experience. It was a wonderful escape from reality! I really appreciate Laurie, Donjae, and Ingrid for creating the perfect experience for us today. 10/10 highly recommend. Call ahead for reservations!

This is my first time at the Brooklyn location and I really liked the zen vibes and minimalistic decor. I prefer a more earthy, grassy matcha (aka the uji) but I wanted to switch it up and went for the nishio in a hot cortado format. It was indeed very creamy and floral. I also got to try the yame matcha latte with oat milk. The yame itself is advertised to be more nutty and the oat milk definitely amplified it. Both drinks had really well mixed matchas with a good milk ratio respectively. While I would give their matcha and location a 5, I dropped it to 4 for this particular location due to their service. I'm not sure what didn't click but we had so much trouble trying to order the usucha matcha. We tried the name usucha twice and even tried alternative names like the short serving. She said a bunch of things but didn't really explain if it wasn't available or had other recommendations. We gave up and went for the yame matcha instead.
