This was a nice Sunday brunch experience. We got Brazilian Pao de Queijo (PDQ) with Lox & Egg Sandwich (delish) w/Plaintain hash brown and a vegetable empenada. The ambiance is nice for chatting on a lazy Sunday. Only critique is that it takes so so long for the food to come out, longer than one would expect for these brunch items. Will probably come again though, the Brazilian bread is probably one the best versions I've eaten anywhere. I haven't tried working here, but it's a nice alternative to Starbucks in Riverdale. read more

I popped in here as I was in the area, and I was in the mood for a chill coffee shop vibe. It's very cute with lots of seating downstairs as well as a whole co-working space upstairs. The service was great and even though it was crowded when I walked in, I was able to snag a seat at the bar stools. They have a great menu of coffee and tea drinks to choose from, including a coquito latte. They also have lots of pastries and a pretty extensive food menu. I ordered the ginger cookie and a chai latte and both were very good and flavorful. The music selection was really good as well, and wasn't too loud, so if you're looking for a place to work or read, this would be a good spot. I'd definitely come back here again the next time I'm in the neighborhood. read more

The space is so nicely decorated, plenty of natural light, and seating! They have a pretty elaborate menu with classic beverages and some seasonal ones. The Iced Strawberry Shortcake Matcha was on their seasonal Summer menu. The contrast in colors of the layer of strawberry and matcha was beautiful, and it was also tasty! The strawberry was silky smooth and sweet while the matcha was earthy and mild in flavor. It's definitely on the sweeter side but nice to sip on a hot day. Great spot to check out! read more

Really cute coffee spot in Riverdale section of the Bronx. They have little study or office space rooms you can rent out for a price, or you can just chill out and drink good coffee and order something to eat. The quality of everything is really good. The customer service five stars. I was greeted with a smile on two different occasions and one guy was leaving his shift while the other coming in and he also was supper polite. Totally recommend this place and will come back when I can! First off, I decided to come by and was pleased to see that the cafe is right in front of the 7 bus! Perfect for commuting. Right when you walk in, it is so spacious and smells good! The cashier greets you when you come in, service was welcoming and they were patient taking my order. I got an Iced Blue Lavender Matcha Latte and a Pao de Queijo! Both were so good! I was looking for dog friendly cafes in the area and was happy to find out about this place! My dog is still a puppy and got excited seeing another dog at the cafe-- and was a bit playful (and loud lol), because it's rare to find dog friendly spaces in this area so that's why I was glad! read more

I stopped by here to journal and wait for my tax appointment at the nearby H&R Block. The establishment is really cute. Nice tables and couches that seem rescued from an antique store raid. The music is very laid back lounge: bossa nova and flower power 70s. Low tone conversations fill in the ambient atmosphere. I ordered the chai latte, which was very tasty: not bland and not overly spiced. I got a lox and egg on a croissant. Service was professional. I only visited once so my experience was that the shop is very spacious and clean. Great atmosphere and very relaxing. I came in for a chai latte to go which was delicious. This is Great for those looking for a place to get work done. Keep in mind after an hour if you're doing laptop work there is a charge. So they offer the first hour free, Then it is $10 per hour or $35 for the day with unlimited coffee based beverages. My new fave coffee shop! I used to love another local spot, but the food there was getting way too pricey for mediocre quality, taste and presentation. My neighbors recommended Artizen, and I've been hooked ever since! The coffee drinks are delicious and perfectly balanced, and the pastries, breakfast platter, and breakfast sandwich are perfect portions and really good! Been going for a while and this is the BEST cafe. The vibes in here are so good and I swear I've done my best thinking here. All of the drinks I have tried (coffee and non coffee) are amazing and my favorite is probably the caramel macchiato. I came in for a coffee because I work in the neighborhood and want to support less corporate coffee spots. And THEN, at the time of payment, he told me if I were to work on my laptop it would be 10$/hour. Lovely cafe in Riverdale with delicious sandwiches, pastries and beverages. I noted the upscale croissants, breads and unusual teas. I had a tea that was made with lavender and spirulina. Has some fabric easy chairs to lounge in, comfortable tables and chairs and a 1930's stove as a decoration in one corner. Very nice service. There are two levels, the first level is small and cozy and the second level is up a long flight of stairs. The first floor is wheelchair accessible. I would definitely return. read more

After a morning run I was introduced to this hipster place by a running buddy. So when you walk in you see how nice the staff is and how they treat everyone who comes into the business. The beet latte with almond milk was pretty good. Apple oatmeal cookie was large and scrumptious. Nice cafe with high ceilings. One thing I would suggest are shades for the windows to block the sun. I went here for the first time it was just what I wanted for a long time a space to have a nice drink of coffee and also to do work. They were very nice and showed me the place. This cafe caught my eye when I was visiting a neighboring dance school. I loved that it was catered for people who are looking to work from home but outside the home. I was a little surprised that there wasnt ample space for people who wanted to work at the café that were nonmembers. When I was there, there weren't many people in there Non-working section of the café. But I was glad that where I was seated was relatively quiet and had a great view. The ambience and aesthetics of the café were gorgeous and homey. I thoroughly enjoyed my refresher drink! it was just what i needed for a hot summer day. I ordered a cold brew with vegan matcha lemon bread. No complaints about the coffee -- really enjoyed it. The bread was pretty good as well; it was a little dense but flavorful. Worth ordering if you're hungry. The prices are a bit high; it was ~$11 for the cold brew and bread, so I would probably come here primarily to hang out rather than grab-and-go to get the best bang for my money, but overall a good experience. I was in love with the café that was located here before, but I really wanted to give Artizen a fair shot. It was disheartening to see how much the place has changed since Palombo's Bakery. (RIP) But the coffee was enough to make me appreciate all that they as a new café provide for Riverdale and the Bronx community. I enjoyed the gluten-free brownie they had and I seriously can't emphasize enough how good the coffee was. If you want a good cup of coffee, come here. Seriously. Come here. The bathrooms are also well-cleaned, and the sink and decor are beautiful. They also have office space on top for people to relax and work remotely. They are also great when it comes to service dogs that I noticed. I would just like to say one thing. They REALLY should have kept and maintained the ceiling mural of the clouds and the sky.
