    Strawberry crepe

Relatively new addition to the neighborhood, this place was clean and cute on the inside and the servers were very nice! I ordered the strawberry crepe which came with strawberries and nutella inside and dusted with powdered sugar and either chocolate or more nutella drizzled on the ouside. I really enjoyed the amount of toppings that were included. It felt like a decent amount of chopped strawberries and it was oozing nutella! It is a perfect late afternoon sweet treat!

Went a few weeks back for their soft launch. The interior is really modern and nice. Plenty of seating for everyone, including window bar-style seating. The staff there is really nice. They have homemade desserts in the fridge and on display at the order counter. I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake crepe. It was on the thicker side, a little thinner than a normal pancake. Plenty of white and milk chocolate sauce and crunchies on top. I just wish there were more strawberry slices inside. The ones inside were likely soaked in a syrup, but I would actually suggest using fresh undoctored strawberries and bumping up the quantity considerably. I think that would add a burst of refreshment amid the sweet taste throughout. I also thought the amount of cake pieces inside were few -- maybe I just did not notice them, but if so, they weren't very prominent. All in all a fine sweet treat, but a few suggestions here. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood -- looking forward to trying more things!

I highly recommend this spot - tons of variety in desserts and healthy options too! They have acai bowls, crepes, gelato, healthy juices, doughnuts, and more! The crepes are really good & made fresh in front of you. The service is excellent too. Very clean inside and nice vibe, lots of seating.

Hubs and I had the most decadent Lemon Italian Icee at an old-time pizzeria in Brooklyn not long ago. Since then, they've been our trustworthy blueprint for Lemon Icee. Gene Bean's located inside the Arthur Avenue Retail Market and came up as "Ice Cream and Sorbet"- offering other sweet treats too. A big check mark for these guys because these Zeppoles are fresh and fried on the spot- but were heavy and thick- missing that true, light feel. Our Italian Icee experience was decent though. When everything was said and done, popping the trunk to enjoy our treats, was a nice ending in Little Italy at night.

The cups for the scoops didn't have lids that fit, so I ended up tying individual plastic bags around each and hoping it would work. It ended up a melted mess puddle inside each bag and not in the cups. The flavors were fine, not too much variety, but one plus was their in house affogato was excellent. Though again, the staff seemed confused how to make it and kept asking me which ice cream flavor and how many espresso shots. I'd go back for an affogato in the future, in house only.

Very impressive, I assume management trained him and kudos to them for that! Food was next level! Calamari app was tasty, fresh, tender and delicious. I had the Filet of Sole and it was in an egg batter that was very tasty and perfect. I know it was good because my son had several bites! The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.

I ordered a cappuccino and, for the first time, decided to try the Rum Baba. I'm glad I did. The service was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The staff was happy to answer questions and made me feel like a regular, even though it was my first visit. The shop has an old-school Italian bakery feel that's becoming harder to find, making the experience just as enjoyable as the food itself.

I've always walked by Egidio Pastry Shop but now I'm on a mission. I need dessert to carry through out the weekend. Walking inside, it's nostalgic feels from my childhood. Freshly baked Sicilian treats that are proudly on display. I ask: Do you sell Italian bread? I'm told no so I'll gladly take a pound of biscotti. I zero on my favorite, almond biscotti. I ask for a few fruit and nut biscotti as well. Somehow a filler was added, it wasn't even biscotti?? It was a flat, flavorless cookie. I would have enjoyed sesame cookies but I wasn't asked. It was just jammed into the box unbeknownst to me. I don't have these problems in Brooklyn, uncool. There was a cute nonna in front of me ordering Italian pastries. She's directing the counterperson who's preparing her box: I'll have one of those, two of these, while eating a mini cannoli. First time here, I'd like to try the pastries on my next visit. Egidio Pastry Shop, until next time!

As a newcomer to Yonkers, I was especially happy to learn what's in my area. I decided to stop in on a Saturday afternoon to check it out. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted warmly by a woman whom I assume is the owner. The shop is small but filled with a variety of treats and almost anything you can think of - ice cream, candy bars, lollipops, candy themed gifts, and drinks, as well as baked treats like cupcakes. I specifically wanted to try the cupcakes because they claimed to have a #1 best selling blue velvet cake. I ended up purchasing 2 lollipops and 2 cupcakes (blue velvet and vanilla). The blue velvet cupcake was just OK, in my opinion. The cake was soft with a nice buttercream frosting, but nothing that blew me away or stood out to me as THE best I've ever had. I did not end up eating the vanilla cupcake due to an unrelated illness later that weekend. Nonetheless, it was nice to finally try this establishment out. In terms of service, the woman who helped me was super sweet and kind. She also thanked me and wished me well upon leaving. The store itself appeared clean and organized and I really liked the variety of offerings. Some of my favorite childhood candies were readily available and overall pricing was fair. I'd return in the future for their candy selections but I don't think it would be my go-to for baked goods. Highly recommended otherwise!
