The first time I went to Asia Gourmet was when I first moved here five years ago. I felt that the…read morefood was not nearly as good as other restaurants that I've had in the past. I had read reviews before going so at that point I had not tried the chicken but I had gotten beef fried rice and beef and broccoli I found it to be significantly overcooked. The broccoli was mush and the rice was also significantly overcooked. The food lacked flour and the service was subpar at best. I have friends that love this restaurant, so I did try it again and had the same experience. My mother had gone here with one of her friends and said it was really great and wanted to go again so we went for lunch. The service was terrible. The waitress only came to our table wants to take the order and then to drop the food off. I had to go find someone to pay the bill. And I could not even eat my food this time had tried chicken. I got the L10 lunch special. I tried a few pieces and it tasted so undercooked that I ended up just leaving the rest of my food. I also got violently sick within two hours of getting home. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I also think it's important after giving a place numerous tries to share my experience. And I feel that not only is the food either under or overcooked but the service leaves me not wanting to return. The two thing I will give Asia gourmet a star for is their ambience and drinks. It is a beautiful restaurant I just wish the food and service matched.

The restaurant itself is very visually appealing. Clean and very nice bar. However, expected it to be very loud because of the tile floors. A lot of echo! For appetizers, we had sushi rolls which were average at best. Definitely something missing on the presentation. Also scallion pancakes watch it were average at best. This certainly could be improved on. The main course, however, was extremely hot coming out, which was appreciated. Also, the plates that came out were warm, which is important when it's February in New England. This was a big thumbs up for me. Definitely will go back and revisit some of the selections in the future. They do have an extensive menu of Asian food as well as sushi/sashimi.

The one complaint that I'd have is that I'm not a fan of their chicken teriyaki. It wasn't awful, but I didn't love the flavor. The food was hot and plentiful. I will go back there again.

Win Win Express [WWE]. (2.5 stars)…read more Win Win? Maybe not 100% true but it's better than some other Chinese fast food places I've been to. On my recent stay in Ashuelot, I was desperate to find a place to eat that wasn't too far of a drive from my Airbnb. My Yelp app came to the rescue and found WWE!! It was only 2 miles away!! That's definitely appreciated when the snow blizzards are heavy and dangerous to drive in... This is one of only a handful of restaurants in the area. As far as I could see or drive to in the area, this seems to be the ONLY CHINESE RESTAURANT before Keene NH (about 30 minute drive). As far as the food is concerned, it's average. Typical Chinese fast food flare. I will say that the portions are very generous and the prices are quite affordable. I ordered the beef with snow peas. While the ingredients were all previously frozen, the snow peas and other veggies still had a satisfying "snap" to them. Service wasn't rude but definitely not inviting. You can tell this is a no-nonsense order and leave establishment... If you're ever staying in the area or driving through, check them out. There is a small dine in area with tables and chairs. I wish WWE well and would possibly stop by if I'm ever in the area again.
