Good portion sizes and prices. Usually take it to go and it always stays warm and is great for leftovers too.

I enjoyed the food very much. They had some interesting things that I haven't seen on the menu before. Everything was delicious. Service was great and it was a comfortable atmosphere. Not really sure if they serve alcohol. I know I will end up frequenting this location since I relocated 1K from them. They seem to have a lot of very old reviews that certainly don't describe it as it is today. Not sure why some of these are not expunged after five years or so. read more

The staff dont understand basic English, like the word No. Whether it be unwelcome touching or removing things from the table before your finished. Most of the food is so so, but i do like the egg rolls, beef teriyaki, Singapore noodles, Szechuan chicken with peanuts and their Mai Tais are the best. read more

Our first visit was excellent. Everything was prepared to perfection. The service was prompt , polite and most helpful. The entire establishment was spotless. It is obvious they truly care about there customers. We will definitely be returning . It is well worth the 30 minute ride to Orange from Winchendon. read more

Checked out the Tea House in Orange. I hadn't had a scorpion bowl in forever and I'm glad I ordered one, it was super tasty. For my meal I had the beef and mushrooms with fried rice, boneless spare ribs (4), and a crab Rangoon. It was good! If I'm ever that way again this is definitely a good place to stop. read more

Food was good. Unfortunately I felt like the service wasn't great. Our Server mixed up our plates, which is no big deal, but when we tried to swap them to the right people (there were only 4 of us and 2 had the same order!), he yelled "Don't touch!". We felt that was rude so we tipped accordingly...and our server had the audacity to DEMAND a bigger tip! Who does that!? read more

The food is yummy and the service is amazing. I've never had a bad meal. Try the scorpion bowl!

Great place for breakfast if your a morning person when I go here I usually take mom out here for a good breakfast and a good conversation

Delicious food! Scallion pancakes, chicken fingers, beef teriyaki, crab rangoons, egg drop soup, hunoun crispy beef. Great food on a Monday night!! read more

I came all the way from New Hampshire to try this place and the food was not good at all. The cups are very dirty and looks Iike there are food sticking on it, definitely not washed properly. Customer service was bad when we asked to change the dirty utensils. Never going to this place again and will not recommend it to anyone. read more

When we're craving Chinese food we alternate between Tea House and Tea Garden, just to mix things up. Tea House has good scorpion bowls, so that is always a plus. There is usually plenty of seating available in the restaurant, but they have a tiny area that I guess you would call the bar. If you like sitting at the bar watching TV, you might not be comfortable here. I have a pad thai obsession so I usually order it, but alas, Chinese restaurants don't often make pad thai the way they do in Thai restaurants. (Sawa in Gardner is an exception to that rule.) I laughed when my son saw his first dish of real pad thai and said, "Why isn't it pink?" Well son, it's only pink at the Chinese restaurant! Nevertheless, their pad thai is edible but not really pad thai like. My son is a General Gau's fanatic, so he gets that. It tends to have a thick, goopy sauce but he keeps ordering it, so it must be edible. Their crab rangoons are tasty, and the fried rice is so so. If you're closer to Gardner, go to Sawa. If you don't feel like driving, Tea House will suffice. read more

Food-Satisfying if what you are looking for is sweet/syrupy Chinese food. Heavy on the grease and sugar, light on the spice Service: Generally it is slightly below average. Sometimes the servers explicitly ask for a tip-this stuff always makes me annoyed.. Atmosphere-Decent but kinda tacky Price-Reasonable read more

Oh my... Did someone say the best Chinese in 50 miles?!? Perhaps it wins that honor because it's the ONLY Chinese restaurant in 50 miles! Service was very, very good. A+ It was clean. A The food was horrific. Slimy meat, rice that tasted like it was cooked circa 1992 but the egg roll was tasty. Nice sauces on the meat, however. My 'word to learn in Chinese', on my fortune cookie, was 'medicine'. Let's hope that's not foreshadowing.... read more

Tea House - Ooph - Chinese Near Me - Orange, Massachusetts

Very disappointed in the quality of the food. Ordered House Special Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, Broccoli and Egg Rolls. Everything came to the table cold. Chicken was tough as leather, broccoli was yellow and terrible, egg rolls tasted like they were left over from the 1st Ming Dynasty. There was no tea served or crunchy things to dip on the duck sauce. Will not return. read more

We stopped here on our way through the area. Chinese restaurants are usually hit or miss for me, but I was starving, and this place was suggested by a friend. I am happy to report that this place was surprisingly good! Our server, an older Chinese gentleman, was super attentive, and lightning fast! The crab rangoons were EXCELLENT! The Hot & Sour Soup was a bit different, quite spicy, and VERY good! The decor needs a bit of attention, as there appears to be a leak in the roof, which is peeling paint off the wall and ceiling. Also, we were not offered the typical fried noodles and sauce, while waiting for our food. The biggest negative for me, was that there was no hot tea offered. I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but I would not hesitate to return here! With a few tweaks, this could be 5 stars. read more

I love Tea House. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The food is fantastic. It's the best Chinese food I have found so far in the New England area between south NH and north MA. Their combination plates are a good deal, you get a main entree, rice, and two appetizers. I recommend the general tso chicken which is great and their boneless spare ribs. I also believe they make their own duck sauce which is excellent. Love it! read more

The best Chinese food in the Athol/Orange area! House pad thai wasn't on the menu, but they happily whipped some up for us and it was excellent! Everything is always tasty, and the service is always friendly and superb! read more

Update December 2014: I feel it is time for an updated review. This place used to be the best Chinese place in the area when I first moved out here in 2009, but I am not sure if they changed management or the way they do things. It just doesn't seem as fresh as it used to be. The food, I would say is about average at best. The chicken wings used to be perfect tasting, and a nice crisp but not overdone. They just don't look like a good chinese style wing should. Not horrible, but not great either. Some of their house specialty plates are ok, such as the sesame beef, and hunan crispy beef. It is decent for local chinese food, and I am glad they do a fairly good business, but I wouldn't drive out of the way to go here. read more

If this is the best Chinese food in the area, then I'll need to cross Chinese food off of my list of food to eat while visiting Orange. My wife and I both ordered the Chicken Lo Mein. It arrived cold, lack luster in the flavor dept. and I don't know what noodle they used (Linguini perhaps), but it wasn't Lo Mein - or at least not a quality brand. Oh! And the fortune cookies were stale! All in all, disappointment was ours to behold for the dining experience. The server didn't even ask us how our meal was - maybe she already knew. :( read more

Its good but not the best i would recommend. Out of every Chinese place in this area i think they are the best. They dont have the best drink options but they still have a decent selection i normally order takeout there but when i did i thot the service was decent i suggest you order takeout and not eat there because at least you get your food around the time you get there with takeout instead of waiting. Another thing good about ordering there takeout is when you start eating it its still hot. It does not taste microwaved although it fills you fast so eat as much as you can. read more

Our local Chinese and they are better than average. The scallion pancakes are particularly good as are the crab rangoons.

This is my first time visiting the T house. The price is very competitive, the food was very generous in portion, hot and delicious, and the service was very efficient and courteous. Downfall: I ordered a luncheon take-out meal and they did not pack silverware or napkins. Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant and dine here again. Chicken Lo Mein read more

Our first dinner here and We are very pleased. The food is very good, service is super fast and it appears very clean. We will be eating there again!!! If anyone complains, booo to you. People will complain no matter what! read more

I have been going to this restaurant for years. I took a break from Chinese food for a while, then decided to have it , as I was craving it. The Food was GOD AWFUL!!! It was overcooked chicken fingers that my dogs refused, rice had absolutely no flavor and tasted days old, General Tso's was like chewing 2 day old rewarmed Styrofoam, and the hot and sour soup was not hot and was like beef gravy with I have no idea in it! I will not eat here again, which is sad, because the place went totally down hill. Maybe get a new chef or have your own people try your food as you will see how horrible it is! read more

I love their Chinese food. Great selection of appetizers to choose from. You can eat there or get take out. Also a nice place to grab a drink with a friend. read more

Best Chinese restaurant within miles and miles of Orange! Good, tasty food!

Easily the best Chinese food in the area, and at a great price. Their dinner plates are the best - I usually order C11, which is General Tso's with pork fried rice and a choice of two sides (I usually go with boneless spare ribs and crab rangoons which are both delicious). All that for around $10!! read more

I am always looking for new places to eat Chinese food. This place is great! They have Hunon Crispy beef that falls apart in your mouth, Scorpion bowls that keep you're spirits bright. The staff is very nice and polite and make us feel welcome each time. The cooks work quickly and get your food to you as soon as possible. All the food they make is delectable! We enjoy eating here, it is definitely on our Top 3 favorite places to eat Chinese food. read more

Nice spot nothing super fancy and the food is good. Only have ordered the Pu pu for two and orange chicken so far a couple times. Quick timing and nice customer service. Have yet to have any bad experience in any way thus far. Highly recommend if in the orange area especially since they are the only restaurant opened later at nights. read more

Save your money. You would do better off getting frozen chinese food from the grocery store. The food is not flavored at all. I spent 79 dollars and got nothing. How can anyone mess up a chicken wing? Mine had what appeared to be yellow hardened wart like tumors sprouting off them, the meat was dehydrated and old, obviously refried several times.instead of throwing them out, just keep refrying and sell them to the next schmuck. The lo mein was cold wide rice noodles with no flavor or sauce and had thick yellow onion slices, that was my vegetable lo mein....seriously??? Stay away fromThis place and save your money. I hope they loose all business and have to shut down, they are in the business of taking your money and dont care about the quality. It is the worst chinese restaraunt i have ever been to. read more

Tasty food, not greasy like at some Chinese restaurants. Simple, clean, well lit atmosphere. Friendly service. Comfortable seating for dining, which some area Chinese restaurants lack. Ample parking. Wheelchair accessible. Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. read more

The Lo mein was made with linguini- the rice was minute rice. Not very good made more with something sugary than with actual spice. If I could rate this a negative I would. I will never buy from this place again read more

Love the Tea House! Jimmy is so nice and the food is hot and fresh.

Tea House is a competent restaurant, but has nothing to distinguish it from any other Chinese eatery. While the menu is extensive, the flavor was not anything extraordinary. I ate the Szechuan chicken (with peanuts) and found it lacking in embedded spice or flavor. As the server didn't ask if I wanted a particular spice level and the dish is typically hot, I didn't ask for anything special. I also had egg rolls. They were not piping hot, so I don't think they were cooked to coincide with the plating of my main course. Meal was approx $14 before tip. Service was prompt and friendly. The fortune cookies were not stale! read more

Where to begin, the "thaï spicy noodles" smelt and tasted like vomit , had to get another meal that was extremely salty and not spicy as it should have been , if you order out you have to order extra duck sauce because if you don't you only get 2 little duck sauses and when you ask for extra the only give you one and charge about 2 dollars which is not enough if your family is like mine and you want to get a lot of food. In conclusion ï would not eat food from here ever again there are plenty of good Chinese food restaurants near here and they are actually good so ï would get from there instead of the Tea House. read more

When the food got to the table all the food was cold. i told the waiter and he took only Half the food back and 30 seconds later he comes back with the SAME plate of food which was clearly microwaved. i know it was the same plate because i had set a piece of broccoli down on top that looked funny and there was the same pile of shredded chicken in the corner. The food was very bland, and the cups with the water in it were dirty! read more
