They have the best honeydew tea in town! Everyone else is powdery and weird. Tea Bear Teahouse is always smooth and delicious. Love the fact that they have a drive-thru but sometimes they can't hear you or it's wayyy too loud. Service is usually quick but if you're ordering a lot of drinks, stay patient. Just wish there wasn't so much traffic coming to this location because I would go more often. read more

Came to this spot from The Woodlands to order Boba Tea to find out they didn't have any Boba. Ok fine! We ordered drinks with substitute instead. Liz took our order but had made my drink wrong. She put Crystal Boba in it when I had ordered Lychee Jelly and put Lychee Jelly in my son's drink instead. My son decided to keep his drink but I wanted mine re-made since I wanted what I ordered. Liz seemed annoyed and instead of asking to remake the drink she said she can refund the drink. Rolled her eyes ... Ok! I drove all the way to this spot to get a drink not to get a refund. She never suggested to remake my drink!! So, I asked for her to remake the drink correctly. As I go try to go drink the new drink, I saw a small brown hair on my ice cube inside. I was horrified! I took photos and called her and asked for her name. She was talking smart on the phone and asked if the hair was brown or blue ... wtf? Why does it matter what color ... obviously you did something to my drink!! She was being passive aggressive and rude with me saying I can write a bad review if I want and her name was Liz. I asked for her manager's name who is Taylor by the way. I also requested for a full refund of my drink so hopefully I get that which I will be checking. This is just absolutely crazy! Just because you get the order wrong and having a bad day you shouldn't just again mess up on another drink to be spiteful. Never will I stop by this Boba tea spot again. If I could rate zero stars I would. Very disappointing!! read more

Their product is good. However, I've had my order incorrect multiple times if I go through the drive thru because their system can't understand what you say properly. If you want a correct order you have to go in, Also, if they open at 11am and you go in at 11:45 and they still don't have any boba ready, that's kind of stupid as they are literally a boba shop. Seems like employees should be there early enough to have the boba ready to go at opening, otherwise why open at 11? Open at 12, when it's ready.... Why 5 stars? Because this is such a great boba shop to have nearby. --- --- --- We recently moved to Woodforest and have been loving it, but one thing that is definitely lacking in the area is boba tea. And when I say lacking, I mean it's pretty much non-existent. We previously lived in Tampa and had our choice of at least 10 different boba places within 5 miles. And I grew up in Friendswood and we had plenty of boba - even in the 90's and early 00's. So the lack of boba here on the northside has been disappointing. Fortunately, we've been stalking the progress of this shop every day as we drive by and heard they just opened up - great timing with us moving here 3 weeks earlier! And I'm happy to say that this particular shop is going to be one of my favorite spots in the area. I don't think I have ever seen "White Chocolate Strawberry" as an option on a boba smoothie menu, so I couldn't resist. And I think it was even better than it sounded. It legitimately tasted like a white chocolate strawberry cake, but in boba tea form. There's not a single option out of the 18 on the smoothie menu that does not look appealing to me. I literally might just go one-by-one and order them all. They also have some crazy concoctions on the menu like: Summer Desire: Sparkling mango with popping mango boba Lavender Kiss: Sparkling lavendar with popping yogurt boba Grasshopper: Lychee Green Tea with cucumber juice and basil seeds Even the creamy taro tea looks intriguing! There is a small food menu, as well, but on their third day open, there was no food. I look forward to trying that soon. The only negative part of our experience is that my wife did not enjoy her go-to drink: thai tea. It just was not very sweet. A bit disappointed with this location as our boba were deteriorating and became one massive blob that constantly clogged the straw and prevented you from ingesting the drink. The boba appeared to have broken down, something I have not ever experienced elsewhere. We had two drinks and both had the same issue. Too many fine spots for boba to come back. read more

Stopped here on a whim while passing by -- can you believe that I didn't use Yelp to find my next food/drink destination!? The menu had a lot of great options -- it took me a while to make my decision. The milk tea was yummy. I had the Taro Creamy Tea with Boba and it was tasty. However, my boyfriend's choice was the real winner. He ordered the Thai Meadow (Thai Green Tea with Matcha Boba). It was absolutely delicious and I kept stealing sips. Friendly and fast service. This place has to hands down be my new favorite boba place. First impressions, when walking in, the service was very quick to greet me and even helped me by giving me great recommendations from their menu. Not only that, but they also had amazing wall art, good vibes, and a place to buy fun "Tea Bear" branded merchandise. They even have a drive through and serve bao buns, which is a lot more than other boba places that I have been to. Now on to the main critique, the actual milk tea itself. Honestly, I would go so far as to say that this is just as good as Share Tea. I am an avid share tea patron, who loves my matcha green tea. But when I came over here to this closer location. I got not only my matcha green tea, but I also got some bao buns, and a make milk tea from home kit. With this all being in one place, I don't see why if you're in the area to not come by. I LOVE, LOVE Tea Bear Teahouse. Been getting my boba fix here for YEARS...since they first opened their doors in the MAGNOLIA, TX location. Tried other boba shop places like Kung Fu Tea and not the same in quality & taste. They have a points program that allows you to earn free boba drinks and I am here for it! I like to order ahead using the app and have my drink ready for pick up. It's a bit embarrassingly to share that I frequent there so much, the folks that work there know me and my drink of choice. The Thai Creamy Tea was okay. The flavor wasn't as strong as I'd have liked it to be. The sweet bun was terrible; it was undercooked and soggy, and the red bean flavor was the worst I've ever had. The BBQ bun was okay in comparison, but the sweet bun was nearly inedible. Would not return here. read more

I came here for the first time just passing through town. I got the honeydew creamy tea! It is on the sweeter side, so I would ask for less sugar next time. They use non dairy creamer- which is fine with me, but I wish they mixed it in more... I had a few small clumps of it in my drink. Other than that the tea taste fine. The place is super cute and clean! They have a backdrop as well as paintings on the wall to take pictures. read more

Love this place! I've been drinking boba for about 15 years now and I used to have to drive to 1960 or bellaire to get it. There's another boba place off of 242 that I had been going to but not as good as teabear. I'm so happy this place made its way over to this side of town. I've already been about 10 times since they've opened and it's my new favorite boba place. The tea tastes fresh and not super artificial . My favorite is the peach green tea with house boba. The boba is so yummy and soft, other places make boba really hard. My husband likes the mango green tea with mango popping bubbles. I usually order online so it's ready quicker vs waiting in line. They seem pretty busy so the line is sometimes long. read more

If you're looking for great boba tea, this is it. Let me tell you what my favorite thing about this place is...they can make boba tea with dairy free options!!! I love boba tea but lactose is not my friend. This is the first place that I have been to that offered boba tea made with milk alternatives. It still tasted amazing! I couldn't tell the difference. Another reason I loved this place is the customer service. The employees were so nice & welcoming. They were getting ready to close in about 30 minutes when we got there but they didn't rush us. They answered any questions we had about their menu options and their dairy free boba teas. The place has very cute decor as well. They have a very cute flower wall that lights up. It makes a great backdrop for pictures. They have cute little bears with flowers and boba teas painted on the walls as well. Their menu has more than just boba teas too. My teenage son and I stopped by here on Saturday. We were impressed with the huge selection of boba tea. The staff was very helpful in assisting with our order with great suggestions. I have food allergies, love lattes, and I get boba teas often with no problem, so I thought this would be a great place to try. I enjoy boba teas when I'm in Sugarland and never had any trouble. WRONG. I asked what was the cream for the cream drinks and was told "powder". Since powder isn't an ingredient but a form, I tried to clarify. I suggested he check the packet and tell me. He said nope, it's proprietary. I asked if it was soy based and all he could say was it's a non dairy powder, stressing that it's a powder. Now I question what ALL of the teas and flavorings are made with so, nope. It was a simple question that In today's world, it's not uncommon to provide a basic ingredient like soy or cashews or almonds and if you can't do that, well, you must be hiding something. I have been coming here for well over 2 years and have seen the quality of the drinks get worse and worse and as much as I try to love this place I just keep getting disappointed whenever I go back hoping it will be better than before. It's a great little spot away from the busy areas and I dig how they employee younger kids to give them a shot in the workforce and they are usually friendly. And I love how they have contest events, games to play, great decor, a big menu and plenty of parking. But... The drinks are wildly inconsistent. I'm super simple when it comes to boba. A flavored tea with double boba. The teas have been coming back either with little sweetness or even a couple times no sweet at all. Which I'm not sure how that happens when u order a flavored tea. Every other drink I have ordered has started coming with no ice at all. I've asked for them to add it and they will. But I didn't ask the first 2 times it happened. But a warm tea sucks. So flavor and sweet is very hit and miss. The boba for a while now has been bad. Overcooked most of the time. Mushy and clumpy. Which makes for gross consistency and unpleasant chewing. And I get charged for double boba and most of the time it's not double. I give the kids the benefit of the doubt. They are learning and jobs aren't always easy. But it's now gotten to the point of every time I come here, the drinks are just not good. And it's been a long time coming. I've gone to other boba spots clear across town and they're drinks are consistent. Same taste and boba quality everytime. But that isn't the case at tea bear. I haven't complained to them about how bad the drinks are, I figured I just got a poorly made one that time. But it's everytime. I got a brown sugar tea with boba and matcha and taro smoothies with boba. The boba were so slimy and chewy that it wasn't pleasant to drink any of them. You can find better elsewhere. read more

Each time, the wait for a single drink is absolutely ridiculous. There are a lot of people in the kitchen, so I don't understand what takes so long. Even when it's not busy, the wait is till not less than 20 minutes. This last time, they even ran out of boba. Go to Kung Fu instead.
