I asked for more hot water in my Osmanthus oolong (hot) as it seems the foam settled and there was too much head space. They were quickly on it. I don't know if it was because I let it sit until it cooled down, but it didn't taste like any oolong or osmanthus teas I've had before and had a dry aftertaste. It wasn't bland or too strong; it just didn't taste like tea. I was having high hopes as the cup was pretty cute. The flavor is 1-star, but staff worked at figuring out how to apply their promotion on my drink choice, which helped the experience. read more

I've been to many Teahouses, and this one is conveniently located by my office. In addition to the many yummy drinks, they have a few great snacks. The popcorn chicken is my fave. It's crispy always piping hot and can be made spicy. They serve it with the wooden stick, which makes it really easy to eat. We also tried the egg rolls and french fries. The eggrolls were so hot and surprisingly good. The fries were kind of dry though. The staff were friendly and the service was pretty quick. They had a cool display of some fun LEGO sets throughout the space. There are also board games for your leisure. Plenty of free parking. read more

Love the Teahouse!!! Probably my fav boba spot in the Northside of houston. Always order the strawberry green tea w/boba ( make it a combo) and get the popcorn chicken it's delicious! I stopped by this place for a sweet treat before my errands and I was very happy with my choice. The staff were amazing and so friendly, the drink they made me (in the photo) was DELICIOUS! I liked Teahouse Tapioca & Tea when I lived in the city where there are a few locations, but I was not too impressed with this location. It took too long to get 3 drinks with only one person in front of me who only ordered 1 drink. When they called and my order was finally ready from the pick up counter, I was still missing one of my drinks, so had to wait a bit longer again. The almond milk tea with coffee jelly is good, but drinks are also very pricey for what you get. It's not worth it compared to other boba places. read more

Why 5 stars? Because I needed caffeine and it was found here. --- --- --- My morning consisted of a 5:30am wakeup to play basketball for nearly two hours, followed by eating about 2.5 portions of food nearby for lunch. If I didn't get caffeine quickly, I was about to enter a level five food coma. I walked in and knew exactly what I wanted - a vietnamese iced coffee. I was asked if I wanted to add boba, which I didn't even think about, for some reason. The answer to that question is always yes, and it was nice because it gave me the best of both worlds: coffee + boba. The drink was strong, but that's exactly what I needed. If not for caffeine priority #1, I would have absolutely ordered a smoothie. Something I liked about this place is that they had a large smoothie menu, where many boba shops have a lot of tea options, but the smoothie menu is much more limited. I will definitely be back for this reason alone! read more

The oldest grand has been bugging me for days to get him some boba but o didn't feel like driving down Louetta to the place he wanted to go. I was close to my HEB; in the the H‑E‑B shopping center around the side by the pizza place and the yogurt is The Teahouse. Lots of different teas, boba, tapioca combinations custom made to your specifications. If you need a little nosh to nibble on with your tea they have several different kinds of fries, mini egg rolls, popcorn chicken, and something called squid balls. I used to love this place and would visit frequently. Sadly, my latest visit will be the last due to the absurd level of unprofessional behavior of the staff. I came in and ordered two drinks, one hot one iced. When the drinks were brought out I noticed that they were both iced. With it being cold outside, I asked the worker if it could be made hot like I asked. At this point, I watched the worker take the ice out of my drink with a spoon and throw it in the microwave in the back. Being that I used to work in this industry, I know that that is NOT the proper way to handle an issue as such. The worker handed me my drink and I said to have a great night-and was ignored by both workers present. I also was not given a straw for my first drink and when I asked got an eye roll until I was begrudgingly given one. When I finally got to the car with my drink, it was not even fully filled and I honestly was so scared to drink it that I didn't touch it because I could not trust that the worker didn't mess with it. I even left a TIP to receive this type of service!!!! If any management is able to reach out to me I would love to talk. Again, this used to be one of my favorite places to visit but I will not return under these conditions. read more

Last weekend a sudden craving of Taiwanese popcorn chicken hit me, and I just didn't have time to drive down to Chinatown. I sorted through a couple of Yelp recommendations and came to this place. I have to admit, my expectations were very low. I mean, this is Spring...most times I cannot even get a decent tea; no one knows how to cook boba up here, and most places flavor tap water with syrups from Sun Wholesale. So we ordered our spicy popcorn chicken, squid balls (what?!), and fried spring rolls. We order teas and milk teas with boba and aloe. We brought them home and definitely expectation exceeded. Let me tell you~~ Popcorn chicken was perfectly seasoned and NOT excessively breaded like some places that makes you wonder if you were eating any chicken. Squid balls were like fish balls but with chunks of squid in them. Spring rolls were crunchy and with ground pork and veggies in them. Teas came with actual tea bags, boba was lightly sweetened, chewy and fresh. This really passed the test. I will have to come back and try the puddings and herbal jelly. read more

Love this place! Been going to teahouse chain for maybe 8 years now. This location was extremely fast when giving us our order on a Saturday night! The tapioca was still fresh and chewy! I got the teahouse cream tea w/ baby tap and 1/4 sweetness and hubs ordered the taiwanese pineapple green tea w/ tapioca! My husband LOVED the pineapple green tea. He said best thing he ever had! I tried it & it was legit (I'm Taiwanese and the tea definitely tasted like a fruit tea I've had in Taiwan). Love this location. read more

I searched tapioca in my maps and was surprised that this new location was here in spring. The restaurant is very clean and the smoothie was on point. I love the locations down in Houston and I am so happy to see the brand branching out to other Houston locations. The service was great and I am very happy with my drink. Located on the side of HEB, its pretty convenient to grab some to go before you go grocery shopping! Came here a couple of times , noticed the Asian lady makes the drinks great! Very flavorful. But if it's not her making your drinks, the drinks are watered down by others that make drinks. I ask for light ice and the drinks are still watered down a very light taste of what you order. My orders be cream teas and it just tastes like water. Won't be returning. read more

My hazelnut coffee was mixed with the ice and was delicious although it was half melted anyways, my husband got a mocha coffee and it had ice chunks in it, the person didn't even bother to mix it and it was half melted. He said his drink was watered down. There was 3 people in that place buying drinks the couple left leaving my husband in there and the person fixing the drink apparently wasn't paying attention. This is our first time trying this place will be trying another tea place. Also my boba is supposed to be flavored and this was unflavored mush. read more

Glad to see milk tea coming to this area, and teahouse is consistent and good. The lady at the cashier recommended us switch out the honey with sugar and offered to remake it if we didn't like it. I appreciate her taking initiative to recommend something that i never figured to try and be willing to take the time and cost to let me try it. Honey instead of sugar is definitely a hit. Finally another one in the north side and easy access from i45 and fm2920. Found in the same lot of HEB. This is our preferred go-to tapioca place aside from the drinks it's because the food they serve most specially the spicy popcorn chicken but over all the cleanliness of the place.
