I was excited to try Happy Lemon when it opened across the street from my home. I ordered the bubble waffle, the milk tea with Oreo puff cream, and a half lemonade half black tea. The waffle was delicious. Nice and crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The milk tea was ok. It was lacking a little flavor but that may have just been due to my choice of additions. The tea/lemonade however was very very tart. I love lemon flavors and normally drink a lot of fresh lemon juice in my water, but this tea tasted like you were biting straight into a lemon. Boba quality some of the best I had and I go to bellarie monthly for my boba fix, share tea and kung fu tea don't compare. The teas were delicious and it hit the spot. Just moved back to Houston from the PNW and I couldn't find good bubble waffles anywhere. So I'm very happy happy lemon opened a location here. The waffles here were perfectly warm and crispy. I got salted cheese to dip it in too. The salted cheese here was also perfectly balanced with salty sweetness. I even got my drink (dragon fruit lychee juice w/ salted cheese) with extra salted cheese cause it's so good. Overall the place is very new but they seem to have a good system down. This store completes my weekend! I can go to Costco for lunch, H‑E‑B for groceries, and boba milk tea for dessert! Went here for their grand opening in the Woodlands/Conroe area. I'm SO happy we finally have a great milk tea shop up North. No more having to drive to Bellaire or Katy for Happy Lemon. My personal favorites are the classic A8 milk tea with salted cheese (50% cheese) and Mango Matcha. Don't let the cheese name scare you, it's similar to Starbucks cold foam and Dutch Bros soft top but with better taste/texture. The bubble waffle was crispy and warm on the outside and airy on the inside. Paired great with their puff cream on the side. Customer service was fabulous. Lots of action for opening weekend because of their BOGO deal. Good price for great drinks. Feels like a great local establishment. Will be coming back frequently! read more

The latest chain of bubble tea places to open up off of 242. This is the first on the east side of 242 that I am aware of (unless you count Poke Man over by the hospital). Grand opening today. They were not ready for opening-day crowds. Some design issues: menus are not visible from the line. Only one register, and it was not prepared to deal with the volume. People get to the register where the menu is posted and are finally able to ask questions about what is or is not available. The line fills up in front of the door and leaves a long open space where folks should be waiting for their drinks. The line should curve along this wall past the two screens that could be showing menus - and then get their tea by the door. Audio is loud and echoes. Hard to hear anyone without shouting, and if everyone is shouting to be heard it only makes the problem worse. The tea itself is okay. This is not fresh fruit. Powder ube and probably powder for other flavors. Smoothies are okay. Milk tea is okay. Haven't tried waffles yet, but they smelled okay. read more

When we were waiting for our order the owner/or managers kids were throwing a ball back and fourth right next to our heads. We asked them to move twice. No one said anything to them. Very unprofessional. The store is not big enough to toss a ball back and fourth next to customers. Boba was ok not enough to want to come back. Waffles were good though . Wrong orders, missing boba, and/or watery drinks on multiple occasions. Once the owner argued with me on if a drink existed on the menu. The drink was one of the top ten best selling drinks. Service could be improved esp. when the drink was made was wrong and the associate keep insisting its the right order. She even said "i could get my manager " instead of just making it right. Starbucks would right away fix it and no questions asked. I even asked her before ordering whats the difference between the two and she said the MATCHA IS NOT GREEN TEA! When my question is "whats the difference between green tea with salted cheese and matcha latte with salted cheese?" And thats her answer "matcha is not green tea!" But what really made this place stand out was the amazing service I received the woman who took my order gave me amazing recommendations and was extremely sweet and welcoming!
