My order: Bahn mi + purple yam and coconut smoothie. Bahn Mi: 10/10 amazing tender beef, fresh pickled carrots and other toppings with enough sauce but not too much to where it makes the bread soggy. Nice and toasted fresh bread. My smoothie: One of the best smoothies I've ever had! The owner uses fresh ingredients, and all drinks are dairy free unless you get any yogurt drinks, so the smoothie didn't upset my tummy not one bit. Due to fresh ingredients being used, the smoothie doesn't separate and get all gross like most boba shop smoothies do. I've visited many different boba shops, and this is one of the best. Many boba shops used flavored sugar powders, non dairy creamers (which still upset people's stomach at times), and liquid sugar; basically a big serving of processed sugars and overly processed ingredients. Not here at King Tea though. The taste, service, and clean shop with a cutesy ambiance was amazing, top notch. Friendly service workers who take pride in their work. I got the peach passion fruit tea and taro with coconut milk. The peach passion tea is definitely refreshing and would get it again! As for the taro, there are some coconut chunks or some sort of jelly alongside the boba that added a chewing crunch to it. The boba was warm upon arrival so I suggest mixing the drink first. Who would have thought there'd be a great boba spot about 40 minutes north of central Houston? I was only able to try two of their teas but this may be my favorite boba spot in the Houston area. Its a pretty spacious boba shop, with plenty of seating. You order up at the counter and they ended up finding me at my seat and bringing the boba to me, which was very nice and unexpected. I got the ginger lemon honey tea and thought the flavors were excellent. It wasn't overly sweet and I could taste the flavors without it feeling diluted (as some other shops may have if they just use syrup). I also tried my partner's fruit tea and they used fresh fruit in it which really made for a much nicer and fresher tasting tea. They do also have banh mi and various desserts offered here so I may try some more things in the future. I'm excited to have another excuse to drive out to the woodlands so I can get another one of their teas in the future! read more

Right off the bat the owner is very welcoming and the interior is so cozy!! The drinks are customizable with their sugar levels and the owner even stated their sugar scale is a half lower than what other stores do. I HIGHLY recommend the F4. Peach Passionfruit with Oolong Tea and popping mango boba. This is the first store where the peach passionfruit tea doesn't have that artificial perfume aftertaste. It is super refreshing for these hot summer days. The Matcha Taro and Thai Tea are also very delicious. The boba was still pretty hot and very fresh!! The prices seem very fair for the amount given!! I have certainly never seen anything like that on any other boba menu, and there were plenty of other great options, as well. My first impression of the building from the outside is that it is in a nice parking lot of a shopping center. Fairly new. The photos put up on the outside are very encouraging. I ordered a honey dew melon smoothie with boba, and my husband ordered the coconut purple yam smoothie with boba. His boba was super yummy; he has a knack for ordering good flavours. He mentioned that his own had a bit too much boba, and mine had a flavour that wasn't as strong as I'm used to when I get honey dew. I ordered bbq pork and he ordered grilled pork. The sandwiches were actually quite flavourless to be honest. The sriracha sauce that they gave with the sandwiches woke them right up. We were picking up some of our favorite NY pizza next door and the fiancé told me to find some boba! Lol luckily this place just opened up so we didn't have to look very far. Ordered 2 original milk teas with black tea and boba! One with zero sugar and the other with 50%. The fiancé loved his and said the boba was soft but still chewy. Mine came out just 25% sweet and I felt l would've liked it a bit more with a little more sweetness. I thought the boba was actually a little over cooked and could've been a bit chewier.
