Holy cow!!!! TDE truly went above and beyond our expectations through the entire process and when our wedding day finally came it was magical! We originally signed on with TDE early November 2019 and had our wedding Sept 2021, due multiple postponements from COVID . We interviewed two planners that came highly recommended prior to TDE, but we really liked Carina and what TDE had to offer so we signed on for an all inclusive package the same day. I am so glad we hired a planner and selected the all inclusive - it just made everything operate seamlessly with the help of Jessica and Carina. Carina and Jessica helped make sure we didn't forget certain details that you need to think about when having a wedding, the SI sheet Jessica has allows us to stay on track and select the items we want. The week leading up to the wedding was very hectic especially since our venue appeared to be so busy with prior events that it didn't allow time for the venue to plan our event until like 4 days prior. I don't know all that went on behind the scenes, but I know Carina worked her tail off being persistent with the getting the needed info from the venue and not stressing us out. There were so many changes last minute leading up to our wedding and even the wedding day from the venue, but Carina and team handled them like champs, not being fazed, adapting on the fly, and keeping all the stress from me and why wife. She had it all covered. I think being able to adapt when the original plan does not work out is what sets Otis and Carina apart and what is needed from a wedding planner. I stumbled upon this company when I started my planning and I was intrigued by a place that claimed to do it all like a one stop shop! I saw all of the amazing reviews and photos so I checked it out. They are organized! Everything was explained and broken down and it was easy to substitute certain services for others. Jessica was very helpful each step of the way and got to me with answers to things super quickly. I went with TDE for the servicrs: photography, videography, photo booth, decor and lighting, hair and makeup and floral. Everything was so easy. I'm a visual person so Jessica sent me a spreadsheet full of details that at first seemed overwhelming but she helped me through it. There were links to photos and that made it extremely easy for me to show exactly what I wanted. Fast forward to the big day. The TDE staff came in and did everything they said they would and executed everything perfectly. There were absolutely no problems and they did everything just as I asked. Each and every one of them were professional, nice, helpful and on point with their specific areas. It was beyond what i had hoped for and i got so many compliments on the decor, lighting, photobooth, hair, make up and my amazingly beautiful flowers!!! This is the second half of the review. Please read the first review first for an intro and review of the services Planning: 3 stars Day of Coordination: 5 stars Overall the Day of Coordination was super smooth. We wanted to make sure we wouldn't have to worry during the wedding itself and there were very few hitches (at least that we could see) during the day. All the vendor coordination, set-up, clean-up, venue flipping (we used the same space for ceremony and reception), and guest direction was handled behind the scenes and we could enjoy our day hands-off. Planning and communication: 2 stars Overall it seems that TDE is primarily an event services house (as evidenced by the amazing execution detailed above) with a planning service as an afterthought. The planning tools provided to us were Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, with virtually no personalization. Occasionally Carina would reach out to ask us to update the spreadsheet and see if we needed help, but for the most part, I felt as though we were alone in the planning. Several times we felt like we were faced with making decisions at short notice, e.g. confirming the floral arrangement less than two weeks before or getting back the music from the DJ the night before. While at the end of the day nothing major fell through, mostly we still felt like we had to drive the planning process. On the plus side, Carina's research for the vendors we ended up choosing was excellent. She found us a caterer who could do Asian fusion food (and was delicious to boot!) and a high quality videographer with whom we got along well. Because most of the coordination is already included in the package, I think most people won't need this add-on. Instead, for tracking the remaining items, I'd just go with one of the publicly available checklists to organize your other wedding obligations. The exception is if you don't want to/have time to do your own research for the venue or remaining vendors you'd need to hire (in our case, it was just the caterer, videographer, and string quartet). Value: 4 stars There is absolutely a huge benefit to going to a one stop shop because of the decreased hassle of having to find vendors for each area of the wedding. The communication was centralized, the cost of add-ons was understood, and you can expect a certain level of quality. In general, I don't think we spent less than if we had gone a la carte, but I do think we got more bang for our buck. For instance, I don't think we would've thought to hire an MC, but we were really glad to have one, or we got full access to all our photos, where private photographers might make you pay more to keep them. Overall: I absolutely would recommend working with TDE provided you go in with realistic expectations. All of their services (except DJ) met our quality bar and were well-executed, I don't think I noticed any major logistical detail that was overlooked and the wedding day itself was completely stress-free. Should you have a good idea of what you want your wedding day to look like, pass your vision on to TDE and sit back and watch it happen! read more

Carina was our wedding planner and the person we were in contact with most for our 3 months preparation and the wedding day. She was genuine, professional and easy to communicate with. She is very responsive to our emails. That's very important for our communication and we found the responsiveness was very valuable. She made the process much less stressful than we first thought it would be. And during the wedding day, everything was coordinated well. And we just enjoyed the wedding. Carina, you are a superstar! Jessica was the person help out the whole process and answered many questions we had about the wedding service. She is professional and giving great advices all the time! I think the best service provided by Carina, Jessica and TDE is that how they customized the wedding based on our Chinese traditions and culture. I think the second best services provided by Carina, Jessica and TDE is that they refer the best fit of wedding venue, vendors including wedding official, photographer, hairstyle artist and wedding cakes vendor. They are all great and exceeding all of our expectations! Carina recommended a wedding venue in Napa, and it's a great choice for us because it's a medium size venue and we have small group of guests. And it's great venue because of the valley views and the food services. The wedding official Adam knows both English and Mandarin, was great on the writing of beautiful and sincere words, and was very easy to work with. He also provided many good ideas for the ceremony and gave specific detailed advice on the process during our rehearsal. And the details was important and useful. As many of our guests speak Mandarin, it's great to have two languages for the ceremony. The photographer introduced by Carina was great with working with and he did a good jobs of taking great photos and editing. He was very good at communication and setting the expectation. We love the photos and editing. The wedding cakes were exactly like to the photo we sent to the vendor. That was a good surprised. The wedding cakes was great. The decoration was great. We were so grateful to work with the TDE team for our wedding in April. Below I will review each of the services we received: Wedding Planning Jessica worked with us from the first day we visited TDE a year before the wedding, to the day before the event, to even assisting us with little details afterwards, such as photo processing. Jessica always puts the client first and made us feel valued and respected. She is very easy to work with, thorough, and detail-oriented. TDE has a wedding planning process that they put all clients through, which includes periodic meetings and a document that thoroughly addresses all aspects of the services contracted. Jessica's wonderful customer service, coupled with TDE's client pipeline, made my husband and I feel confident that our wedding was in good hands. Makeup Alice is, first and foremost, extremely knowledgeable and gracious. From the instructional document, she could see that I was anxious about my wedding day makeup. Although I was too busy for a trial, she arranged an hour-long phone call to walk through every single one of my concerns and how she can address them. The day of the wedding, she came around 10:30AM and devoted three hours to my hair and makeup. She carried with her top-quality skincare and makeup products and did careful skin preparation before the actual makeup application. Alice is very skilled and modifies each makeup step to suit the needs and preferences of the client. She is also experienced in working with acne-riddled skin, even testing products on herself before adding them to her collection for clients. Alice definitely goes the extra mile to make clients happy. She made me look absolutely beautiful, and I was so happy with her services! Photography Eric was an absolute joy to work with! He showed up an hour and a half earlier than the contracted time, to scope out the venue and take getting ready photos with us. His artistic vision and technical photography skills were just what we were looking for. Eric had tons and tons of photo shoot locations and poses lined up and ready to go for us, and he was very good at instructing us on how to achieve those shots. He barely took any breaks during the 10 hours that he was with us, trying his utmost to capture every moment and every detail. Furthermore, he turned around over 500 beautiful photos to us in less than two and a half weeks. My family and friends love them! Flowers The flowers turned out much more beautifully than I thought they would! The arrangements exactly matched my photos and description. The florist took great care in ensuring the quality of every flower, and her placement of water sources for the reception pieces and bouquet were strategic. The flowers played an integral part of creating an elegant look on our wedding day. Decorations The decorations team had a considerable range of materials to work with and will customize decorations to suit your needs. We had a sign-in table, cake table, photo backdrop, and head table backdrop done by TDE. Jessica walked us through all the details of what we wanted for each piece, and the decorations team experimented with some ideas just for us. A week before the wedding, the decorations team even did a rehearsal of some of the decorations pieces. They turned out very nicely on the day of the wedding, and the head table backdrop looked particularly glamorous with the uplights that TDE set up. The decorators stayed for the whole event to help break down and take back the decorations after the event. Emcee We were very impressed with Otis' emcee-ing abilities! Since my family speaks Mandarin, my husband's family speaks Cantonese, and our friends speak English, we requested that Otis speak largely in Mandarin and English. He was fluid in switching between the two and occasionally added a bit of Cantonese for effect. Otis was so professional, good at engaging the audience, and successfully facilitated the wedding, coordinating with our venue staff to create the most streamlined event possible. His presence and abilities added a certain cohesiveness to the wedding, which helped ensure that our guests were happy. DJ We created a list of songs to be played for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, along with cues for fade in and fade out for certain events (processional, cake cutting, etc). Derrick took the time to create a playlist for each phase of the wedding, months before the day, and shared it with us for our review. On the wedding day, Derrick correctly followed all the cues and did a great job setting up the mics and speakers. At the last hour of the night, when our playlist was finished, Derrick selected several songs from his repertoire that were just in line with the music style that we were aiming for. Denise and Jessica were easy to communicate with through email and were available at the office on the weekends. When it comes to decision making, I know that I am very indecisive until I see the final result. TDE worked with me to accommodate all of my requests and helped me finalize my decisions. I LOVED my hair and makeup by Vivi. I showed her Pinterest photos of hair and makeup ideas and she exceeded my expectations. She really made me feel beautiful. Amazing service! We needed a bilingual MC and didn't want to deal with multiple vendors and contracts. TDE has packages that encompasses most of our wedding needs like photographer for engagement and wedding day, videographer, makeup and hair stylist, lighting, DJ, emcee, floral, decorations and more. In the early stages, my wife and I had no idea what we wanted but after the first few meetings with Jessica, we had majority of the day planned out. Don't let the initial price scare you away. The price is payed in payments and in the end it was less headaches for us. Make sure you communicate every detail to TDE so there's no surprises. We told Jessica every detail we could so that nothing is a surprise and our wedding went smoothly and our guests had a blast! We had our wedding reception at the Grand Palace Restaurant in South SF on 06/18/2022. TDE is definitely your one stop shop for wedding services! We hired a day-of-coordinator and photographer as well as a photo backdrop. If I was not operating on a tight budget, I would've had them also do all the floral and decorations or even look into their all-inclusive packages. We live in Omaha, NE and planning a 150-guest wedding in San Francisco, CA was honestly a bit stressful. Having Carina as our day of coordinator was an absolute life-saver. She has great attention to detail and I was so thankful for our phone meeting prior to the big day since she really helped organize and figure out the finer details. I would've missed a lot of crucial elements if not for her. From table decor and favors to flowers and cake, I had a lot of moving pieces that were being delivered by family members instead of actual vendors, so I was honestly worried about how that would all come together. Carina handled everything with grace. By the time we arrived at the restaurant, everything was in order. The set-up was beautiful and beyond what I had imagined. As the night went on, Carina kept us informed and on track the entire evening. My husband and I actually had time to enjoy the food, which was HUGE considering that we had been preparing ourselves with the expectation that we would be too busy to eat. Carina was also very thoughtful and kind in making sure our sign-in table items were packed and stored properly in a safe place so we wouldn't forget them at the end of the night. The decor team was incredibly prompt with set-up and break down at the end of the night with the photo backdrop. I could tell that they really care about their work. At first, I was thinking about only doing the floral arch since the curtain would've been an extra cost, but they graciously worked with me and my budget, which I am so grateful for. The floral backdrop was absolutely gorgeous!!! We were blessed to have Angus as our photographer! He was very professional, patient, and kind with a great sense of humor. My husband and I can be a bit awkward when posing for photos and Angus skillfully directed us in the best way possible. We got a sneak peek on our photos this week and they are beautiful! He is a true artist with all the angles and lighting! We look forward to seeing the entire album once it is complete. Also, special shout out to Jessica! Amazing work by TDE! I really enjoyed working with Carina, Otis & team. They were extremely easy to work with and spoke excellent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. I had TDE help me with my wedding reception flowers, decor, lighting, DJ, MC, photo booth and day-of coordinator. The flowers were beautiful, lighting was perfect, DJ had all the songs I asked for, MC was perfect switching between English, Cantonese, Mandarin for my guests, photo booth was fun (until they ran out of paper) and day-of-coordination was perfect! I had a fairly simple Chinese banquet reception. I planned out all of the menu items, appetizers, favors, venue layout, table layout and general floral design. We picked TDE because of their reputation. Definitely, we made the right decision and we would refer them to our friends without a doubt. Great job Otis, Ken Ken (MC)and TDE team. We had countless text messages, emails, and meetings and Otis has always been patient to us. They are friends to us! :P In addition, we like how they were able to accommodate our needs by customizing their service packages. Every details including pricing is black and white on the contract. Unlike some other wedding service providers, they have to have you go with their service packages without being able to customize it based on your preference. After few appointments with Otis and Carina, we made our deposit and knew they were going to do a great job for our wedding with their commitment. The team during the date of the wedding is amazingly organized and professional.Ken Ken, our MC, talked to us constantly and ensure everything was going the way we expected. He is a funny MC and the guests indeed had a good time. One special shoutout to the team who was in charge of the photo booth; at the end of the banquet (most guests were gone), my wife and I wanted to take a picture in the photobooth because we found out we didn't do it yet! As I noticed, they were already half way packing, but told us they were okay to re-set up everything for us. Very polite and considerate. Courtesy like this could make it a huge different experience! For our bilingual Chinese/English wedding, my husband and I knew that we had to find an emcee who can speak Cantonese and English to our 500 (yes, you read that correctly) - 500 guests at our reception. The Day Entertainment was recommended to us by a friend who attended another Chinese wedding and said that the emcee there, Otis Fang, was really good at speaking in Cantonese AND in English and making the whole reception fun and entertaining. I contacted TDE and met with Otis a few times. We went over packages that they had, from photobooth to DJ to emcee. They really are a "one stop shop" - they even have lighting, flowers, decoration and just everything you might need for planning a wedding. Too bad that by the time I went to them, I already had a lot of other vendors booked! If I knew about them beforehand, it would probably have saved a lot more time to go with them since they really do provide everything! Otis is professional and friendly - he responds quickly over email, gives us suggestions and advice when it came to planning. On the day of the reception, we had a few key people running late, which delayed the start of the reception but Otis was working well with our wedding coordinator and still managed to make the whole event smooth and run up to schedule on a timely manner. Afterwards, I had friends that came up to me asking who Otis was, and if he was a friend! They said that his Cantonese and English was spoken very well and everyone understood what was going on. My husband and I appreciate that a lot because we have family who doesn't understand any English at all and so for Otis to be a bilingual emcee really helped our wedding to be memorable for our non-speaking English guests. We just had our wedding this past weekend and it would have never been as amazing as it was without the help of TDE. I was originally referred by my girlfriend who just had her wedding late last year. As one of her bridesmaids, I was able to see TDE work at her wedding, making it a no brainer for me to choose them for my wedding. I contacted TDE ~3 months prior to my wedding date. Yes, I am that crazy lady that decided to take on the challenge of planning a wedding in that little time. I see a whole lot of LONG reviews and I tend to keep mine short, so I've broke it down for all you Yelpers that just want the juice stuff. Cons: Pretty much none, just pricey but what wedding isn't? So let's be realistic- it was a damn awesome price for the amazing outcome we got. Pros: Decorations: See my uploaded picture for the end result. It was breathtaking- they turned Grand Palace Restaurant into a high class, Chinese-American wedding reception. Gobo lighting, up lighting, beautiful tulle decorations for the whole place. It was amazing! MC: My husband's family is as white American as you can get, and they loved Otis! They thought he was funny, informative, and kept the liveliness and ambiance afloat. He's entertaining- and his English is bomb! (I've heard some horrible ones at other weddings.. and that scared me.. but Otis was AMAZING!) DJ: The music was perfect. Light jazz for cocktail hour, extremely flexible with all my requests that I made ahead of time. They even id a mix for us at the end while they were cleaning up so we could keep dancing, THANK YOU OTIS!! Planning: Carina is super cute and sweet! She's QUICK TO REPLY, HELPFUL, COMFORTING, PROFESSIONAL, and just so CREATIVE! :) I love love love her! She gives amazing suggestions and ideas to me, LISTENS- TRULY UNDERSTANDS, and even when I let her decide things like (Colors of the uplighting, decorations and what not) she DELIVERS and does not disappoint! They had people on site keeping watch of the photo booth, it print REALLY QUICK, the picture quality was AMAZING. I loved it, I wished I had more time to go to take more pictures. My bridal party is loving the pictures and family is too. From engagement pictures, to the wedding morning, day, afternoon, evening. Eric never disappoints! I planned from living in Hawaii so a lot of it was via email but Carina did an exceptional job with getting back to me, staying on top of deadlines, and always reassuring me and making me feel better about everything that was going in. TDE definitely exceeded our expectation for our wedding. Carina and her team are prompt, friendly and eager to help with anything we'd like accomplished. As the bride, I personally planned the entire wedding on my own and hired different venues to provide different services. TDE by far provided the best service and the only venue where I felt they have "heart" to be in this business. They have a-la-carte service but also packages to suit every couple's needs and Carina worked with us to customize a package where we can utilize all services provided without having to pay for anything we won't use. Their pro-active reminder also saves us tons of headaches as other venues need to be reminded. Makeup & Hair - Alice was wonderful and very experienced. She did my hair and makeup for both the engagement photos and day of wedding and it was done in less than 2 hours. Decorations - The backdrop was so beautiful and modern. It would cost way way more at other venues. Flowers - My bouquet looks just like the photo I sent to Carina with the exact kind of flowers I requested. Gown Rental - Both Wedding gowns and Chinese Wedding gowns are available for rent, it cannot get any more convenient than this! Other than Chinatown, I don't know where else I could rent a Chinese tea ceremony gown. Photography - The canvas and photo book crated by TDE were done in a very tasteful way. Photo Booth Rental - Each of our guests enjoyed the photo booth so much! Instant photo prints made it easy for everyone to take home a piece of good memory. Their props are fun as well. Day of Coordinator service - Carina charges 1/3 of what other companies asked for and almost no company is willing to do a Day-of-service as they want minimum month-of-service. For me, it worked out perfectly as my wedding didn't require month-of work and Carina and I met weeks before our wedding day and she was spot on with everything I needed her to do. If you are planning to get married, hire TDE!! Jessica made the entire process easy and seamless from the very beginning. She understood our needs and was very flexible on scheduling meetings. Jessica was really professional, has lots of suggestions and provided expertise advice when we weren't sure of how to do certain things. We changed our minds a million times all the way up to the last possible day, but Jessica was able to accommodate all of our crazy changes. Our photographers (Sam and Ray) were amazing!! They were very professional and made us felt really comfortable when taking photos. They knew where all the best locations were to take photos at Palace of Fine arts and at Crissy Fields - which meant that we didn't waste any time deciding where to go for photos. It helped a lot that Sam spoke English, Cantonese and Mandarin as we had guests that understood one language but not the other. Alice did a wonderful job with my makeup - from the very beginning with the makeup trial, to the actual wedding day make up, to the touch ups during the day. She was very detail oriented and meticulous to ensure everything was perfect! I had different makeup styles as well as hairstyles throughout the day and she was able to make all the styles to exactly how I wanted. Otis, who was our emcee for the banquet did a fantastic job during the entire evening!! The atmosphere and mood for the night was lively and enjoyable. He constantly checked in with us during the evening to see how we were doing, gave us updates, and prepared us if upcoming events based on the agenda/timeline. All of our friends and family really enjoyed the evening. Otis was a true professional and did an amazing job on balancing 3 different languages (English, Cantonese and Mandarin). He made us felt really comfortable from the beginning of the evening all the way till the end. Overall, we are extremely happy with all the services that TDE provided. What can I say about TDE? In the beginning stages of wedding planning, I was in search of a bilingual (English and Cantonese) Emcee who could help facilitate mine and my then Fiancee's wedding reception. I searched Yelp and found The Day Entertainment (TDE) for our October 2016 Wedding. I did a little bit of research on TDE and found that they also offered many other wedding related services- photography, videography, DJ, Gobo lighting, and so much more- they are a one stop shop! They had great reviews on Yelp so I decided to schedule a meeting with them. We worked mostly with Jessica Li and boy, is she fantastic! She was very friendly, patient, accommodating, and just all around professional. As the date grew closer, I emailed or called her more and more, and she was very prompt to respond and willing to help in any way she could. We even sat down together a few times and she helped me plan out the day's events- it definitely felt like I had a wedding coordinator assisting me with my wedding festivities (although, I didn't). She helped make the wedding planning process go so much more smoothly than I could've imagined. In addition to Emcee + DJ, we ended up booking TDE for Microphone/Audio system for ceremony, Gobo lighting, and flowers. Emcee/DJ: Jackson was our Emcee for our Wedding reception. We were able to meet with him once, about a month before our wedding, and we were able to go through each item and event timeline together so that he knew when and what he was supposed to do. Even though Jackson and the DJ/audio crew arrived late to our wedding reception, they were still able to get back on track and begin our festivities on time (all the while communicating with me and my then Fiancee). All of my guests were ranting and raving about how great Jackson was! He delivered the perfect balance of English to Cantonese. He communicated to me throughout the entire reception to remind me what activity was next, when to change, when to change back, etc. DJ/Microphone (for ceremony)Music- I supplied them with hundreds of songs, which they used and added some of their own (I think). My only complaint was that some of my guests told me that there was Christmas music playing bore the start of the ceremony, but I think this was my fault, in some part as I should've been more specific. I asked the DJ to play only songs by a particular group that plays covers using cello and piano (Brooklyn Duo), and I guess they downloaded random brooklyn duo songs and it just so happened to be Christmas music LOL. It was minor... Projector- We also used TDE's projector as we made our own slideshow- everything went without a hitch! Gobo- I gave TDE a sample of what I wanted and they were able to customize it to my liking. Love it! It was projected onto dance floor and was clearly visible and beautiful! Flowers- I worked with Jessica extensively on the types of flowers, colors and styles- I sent her many photos of how I wanted it to look. She was very good with relaying what I wanted to the florist and overall I really loved how our bouquets turned out. I wish the ribbon color was different and some of the bridesmaid bouquets were leaking water, but overall they were lovely. Overall, my husband and I are so very thrilled that we decided to book TDE for our wedding needs. If you're looking for a vendor who can do it all and do it well, I would highly recommend booking TDE for your wedding or event needs.They definitely take the phrase One-Stop-Shop to a whole new level. Big thanks to Otis and Carina!!!! Thanks for making our wedding so beautiful and painless. I only had 2 months to plan my entire wedding from beginning to the end. I asked TDE to do my backdrops design at the beginning. They are very efficient on sending us ideas and drafts. All my other vendors on my wedding were taking their sweet time to provide us with information. but TDE were super on top of things and very organized. They positive attitude and through explanation on all details just really take my stress away. The best part was, I fired my florist just 1 week before my wedding and Carina were able to arrange my centerpieces and flower arrangement for that day in less than a week. It's very amazing! I regretted not using their MC service. I am sure if I use their full service my wedding would just turn out a lot better... TDE definitely deserves 5 stars for the awesome job they did with the MC and DJ services for our wedding banquet in South San Francisco. Literally ... 2.5 weeks before our wedding, I realized what my parents had in mind wasn't going to cut it and my wife and I SCRAMBLED to see who we can find to MC and DJ our wedding. THANKFULLY, we found TDE through a recommendation through our venue and reached out to them right away. Jessica at TDE replied to our email inquiry in less than 24 hours and from there, she was such a breeze to communicate with. We got REALLY lucky because they had a DJ and MC available on our day considering it's wedding season already. They assigned Ken as our MC and this guy is beyond awesome. The DJ they provided was as very smooth. Both of them together was a great combination especially if you have both English and Chinese speaking guests are your event. TDE was very thorough throughout the whole process (crazy thorough especially with the wedding in 2.5 weeks) and always made sure we were satisfied with what we had planned. The in person meeting was quick, efficient, and we easily ironed out all the needs/to-dos. On the day of our wedding, Ken and our DJ arrived early to set up and from there, Ken was not only an awesome MC, he inserted himself to help us in so many other ways (almost like a day-of coordinator). Ken has a great personality and definitely knows how to keep our guests engaged and having a good time. All in all, I really think their MC and DJ services was worth every penny. They make it feel seamless and you dont have to stress over things the day of, which is SO important. Had our wedding recently on the 17th and TDE were incredible. From the beginning of the day to the very end, they were well prepared, professional, kind, and polite. We had an incredible day with their help especially as they exceeded all of our expectations, even bringing up options that we hadn't planned. Sam and the photography crew were spectacular and worked with us to bring the best out of our photos and venues. Chester was a fantastic, charismatic MC + DJ utilizing Cantonese and English for us. We didn't have many ideas with wedding games and the sprucing up our reception, but his suggestions and facilitation really heightened the fun and joy of the occasion. I was searching for a company that offered wedding services and stumbled across TDE. We inquired with another company and decided that TDE was the most professional. They also had a lot of experiences working with the venue we chose. We initially met with Otis and he elaborated on all the packages and showed us a lot of samples. We opted in for the lite express package with the lux decor upgrade. We only needed the services for our dinner reception, but I really wanted a nice backdrop. We were fortunate to work with Jessica, our coordinator from TDE. Jessica was thorough and efficient. She was on top of every little details and pushed my husband and I to think of our vision we had for our wedding. Vivi, the make up artist was flexible to my mom's needs and Ben, the photographer was a joy to work with. Everything turned out great. TDE was the perfect choice for our wedding coordinating needs. Their wedding package was able cover many of our needs and really took a lot of the stress and pressure off of our wedding. They took care of most of the decoration for the sign-in and sweetheart table, the backdrops, the floral arrangements, the video and photographer, makeup & hair, and provided us with a DJ and MC Host. All of this was included at a very reasonable price. First and foremost, they were well aware of our venue (HL Peninsula) and were able to clearly visualize and understand what we were going for. They had many experiences with the venue itself and therefore knew what was feasible and not. They also had the timing and communication down with the venue. The decorations and floral arrangements were put together extremely well and turned out much better than we had envisioned. The video and photographers did an amazing job and were able to capture all of our favorite moments. Some of the poses they had us do during the wedding party photoshoot felt a little gimmicky, but they turned out really cool. The video was short but sweet. Although, both the video and photos took some time, we were still very happy with how they turned out. The two were very friendly and communicated well with us their artistic intentions and made sure we were aware of the time so that we could stay on schedule. The makeup & hair artists were able to make my wife feel and look absolutely beautiful for our special day. It started with a trial that let them gauge what style she would like to go for and what to see what type of skin type she had. On the day of the wedding, they had multiple artists available to do makeup for all of the bridesmaids and mothers as well. Honestly, everyone loved our MC Jackson. He was well spoken, multi-lingual, and was very good on the fly, whether it was a comedic relief or explaining the events and activities. He met with us virtually ahead of time to get to know us better and to pronounce names correctly when introducing our guests. The DJ did well in keeping with the music provided. However, the music was extremely loud from what our guests had mentioned but we personally didn't feel like it was that bad. One thing I cannot forget to mention is the communication they kept with us. Jessica was our coordinator and she was constantly reaching out to us to keep us informed with any payment dates, change / update in plans or decorations, ensuring that we have all the critical information provided in time, and was engaged with us when chatting about all of our ideas. She was readily available to us via email and phone and was extremely helpful in making the day so special! read more
