Subject: Complaint Regarding Proof of Address Requirements…read more Dear [Branch Manager / Chase Customer Service], I am writing to formally express my concern regarding my recent attempt to add my wife to my Chase account. Prior to visiting the branch, I contacted Chase customer service by phone and was informed that my wife only needed two valid IDs to be added as a joint account holder. Based on this guidance, we gathered and presented the following documents at the branch: * Her Social Security card and Social Security letter with our current address * Her Permanent Resident (Green) Card * Tax return documents with our address * Our marriage certificate Despite presenting these official government-issued documents, the banker refused to add her to the account, insisting instead on a utility bill under her name. I explained that this is not possible, as utility accounts are issued only under one person's name. When I offered to provide a signed lease agreement as additional proof of residency, I was told this was not acceptable either. This contradicts both Chase's initial phone guidance and the general acceptance of government-issued documents (e.g., USCIS, SSA, tax documents, etc.) as valid proof of address. I respectfully request: 1. Clarification of Chase's official policy on proof of address for joint account holders. 2. A review of why my wife's government-issued documents were rejected. 3. A resolution that allows compliance with federal banking regulations without requiring an unnecessary utility bill in her name. I value my relationship with Chase and hope this matter can be resolved fairly and promptly. Sincerely,

The moment I set down with this woman I was instantly able to tell that she had already made up in her mind not to help me today. I asked for the manager so Mr. ADRIAN arrived sticking up for her and rejecting and shutting me down without even an attempt to help. Just saying they see notes on the account (which they refused to share with me or tell me any reason. ) and advised me they have to get in touch with the legal department about the notes and that this won't happen today. I immediately pulled out a bank check of $70,000 from my business account with Citi and will never he here or recommend this again. I canceled two meetings this morning for this only to be rejected already when sitting down before even an attempt to help me. This is disgusting experience. Good bye

This bank SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more I opened my account online. The same day, I made a check deposit with my phone for $1,000.00 drawn off another account in my name. The following day, my check cleared but the assholes at Chase placed a NINE day hold on my deposit because they "received information that my deposit might not clear." Whaaaa? I called the bank and they called on my deposit and released the funds. Day Three: Some asshole at Chase closes my account for "unusual activity," WTF is unusual? There was only one activity, a deposit. So, go to the branch. They know nothing. Nobody knows nothing. Finally, they call someone who says my account was closed, BUT, they'd be more than happy open me a NEW account right now. Bitch please. I walked out the door. This bank SUCKS!!!!!!!

The service was unbelievably poor from start to finish. My cappuccino arrived after 25 minutes and was completely cold, as if it had been sitting on the counter for a long time. When I took it back inside, the cashier gave me a dirty look and offered only a brief apology. The problems continued. I was charged for soup but waited 45 minutes without receiving it. After I went inside to ask about it, an employee simply said, "Sorry, I forgot." The same thing happened with my crepes and ice cream. The plate had clearly been sitting out for a while, and the ice cream had melted into a puddle around the crepes. The açaí bowl was no better. The fruit, especially the strawberries, appeared old and far from fresh. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told the manager was not on duty. There seemed to be no supervision, no professionalism, and no concern for customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food quality and service were unacceptable. This restaurant should be ashamed of the way it treats its customers.
