I was in the automotive service business for 41 years and never have i had to write such a bad review. However i feel consumers should know. I purchased a 2019 travel trailer from tcs rv. The financing went smooth, but it stops there. I feel i got a decent deal, but when the sales person came back and said there is a $250.00 "get ready fee" that they charge on every rv i felt i was being lied to. The sales person seemed to have short term memory thru the whole sales process, but tried making up for it by offering free trinkets. I informed the sales person that the trailer would be going on a 3000 mile road trip right after delivery and asked to please check things over a little more thorough. The dealership was given 5 days to get the trailer ready and a appointment was set to do the walk thru and install equalizer hitch on my truck. I showed up for the appointment, but no sales person. A young service technician was given the task, but failed miserably. The sales person did show up at the end and apologized. The first thing that i noticed was the trailer was never cleaned inside or out. Again i was met with apologies. I do have to praise the two service technicians who installed the equalizer hitch in the pouring rain. propane tanks were never filled. The first night out my wife noticed that all the water in the sink leaked down into the cabinet below because the sink drain had never been tightened. The second night out while dry camping we found that the water pump would run continuously and nothing but air came out of the faucets. This meant no washing of dishes or taking a shower. We really like the trailer and fortunately for me i am mechanically inclined enough to address these issues. What was the $250.00 get ready fee for? I feel the sales person said what ever he could to make the sale and after financing was approved did not follow up on anything. All i got was excuses and apologies. If you are thinking about buying from this company beware. The best thing would be to buy elsewhere. read more

Just got back from their open house. Not impressed. Greeted nicely, asked what we were looking for, used, told to drive out back, salesmen around out there if we need help. Did a lot of browsing, salesmen did ask if we needed assistance, not at that time we told him. Then saw a used one with a price on it off to the side so we checked it out. Locked so we peeked in the windows and opened one pullout to check the canvas. Some lady comes over and asks us if we had any questions. Then told us these were all sold and we were just in someone's camper. What? None were marked sold. Drive to this side lot NOT roped off. How was I to know? Also, it is was locked, we never went in. Kind of rude. I felt like I had to defend myself by explaining I was just looking and didn't know I was in the sold section. Yeah, not buying from the them. read more

Hidden gem, once we found it there was an abundance of floor-plans and styles to choose from. The sales man was friendly and patient with us, answered all our questions from financing to towing, we will definitely be buying from them this pre-season! read more

We have been to this business several times. From a customer service stand point there really isn't any. When you walk in to the showroom, you are likely to walk to have no one to greet you. I didn't buy our camper there but find their selection of parts to be pretty vast for a local business. We do however get better prices on somethings both online and at Walmart just across the street. An example of this was when I was installing a battery switch in the battery box of our camper. The battery switch they had they were charging some $60 for. The exact same switch was available at Walmart for $25. We wanted to start dry camping and switched all of the lights in our camper to LED. TCs had 6 LED light bulbs for $45. When we looked around a little bit, we found we could get 10 bulbs for $1. When we asked why they charge so much the response was that if we can find it cheaper then go there. We still go there from occasionally to get part we need to get immediately that aren't available anywhere else locally. read more

Brought in a 2 year old rv I just purchased because the generator wasn't working. Because the generator was hardly used and the previous owner didn't put fuel stabilizer in the lines, I was pretty sure the carburator needed cleaning. Left it for a week at TC's RV until their generator tech could look at it. I was told it wasn't the carburator and probably something electrical which could cost up to $1,000 in labor. Brought my rv to a local mechanic who has a lot of experience working on generators. The carburator had a couple of inches of gel in the bottom from old ethanol gas. He cleaned it, put in a filter and for $50 I have a working generator. Brought it in to TC's this year to have the tv antenna replaced. I was told it would be 3/4 hour to 1.5 hours of labor. Stopped in a day after the scheduled appointment to see if it was ready. They charged me 2 and 1/2 hours and said it took two hours to remove the sealant. My advice is to go to anyone else. They are not customer oriented, can't give accurate esrimates and refuse to notify the customer if the repair is going to be a lot higher than their estimate. I was told if they had to stop the job and call me to discuss the additional charges, They would have to charge me for the time my rv was in the bay until I returned their call. Incompetent! Had our RV for 4 days and charged us $180 to diagnose hot water heater only to find out after we got it back it still doesn't work properly. Also salesman was trying to sell me things I didn't need or already had. Won't be going back here. read more

Went to visit to look at different 5 th. Wheels very friendly. Decided on the one we wanted, received a phone call asking what we had to do to make a deal said what I wanted was agreed upon and the unit would be ordered. In the phone call I specially told them I did not want the camper until the following March, I get a phone call in January saying the camper was in and to make arangements to pick it up, I reminded them of our phone conversation and they said they never agreed to that. I told him I wasn't picking it up until March and besides we haven't even checked for finaceing, he said no one has checked your credit and got you approved I said no...they ordered a brand new 5th. Wheel without checking my credit...smart. So I make a date to pick up the camper we arrive and everyone is all smiles very friendly, we PDI the camper sign the paper work we go to hook up to leave and the landing gear on one side is jammed will not come up. The mechanic spent three hours taking one off another camper and putting it on ours, oh did I mention the paper work was signed, we walked out the office and they closed the door, they would not talk to us for the three hours we waited for the repair, no coffee, offer to use the rest room, they ordered lunch and did not ask us if we would like anything. I have had numerous issues with the camper, it even went back to the factory to have the walls taken off and replaced, I didn't even bother with the dealer, they are useless. Two years after the warranty is up I call to see if I could get an extension and of course no return call....If you are going to buy an RV in northern VT go to Petes RV and be treated like a human being. read more
