We've been…read moregetting our family birthday cakes here for 25+yrs now and we have asked for some unique designs for some of the cakes and thanks to one decorator in particular we have never been let down. I even took a napkin with the design on it that I wanted for my daughter's 1st birthday party 25 years ago and the decorator re-created the exact design (with a few minor changes per my request) out of icing, not a cheap photo created from scanning the napkin and peeling then smoothing on top & throwing some extra decorations around the picture. She took the time and pride in her work to create a unique cake for us and a picture of our cake was added to their "special order cakes " book for many years! On another occasion we got a cake design made from combining 2-different designs and the final product was amazing. It was a combination of a little mermaid and luau design perfectly meshed to create a unique beach theme decorated cake to which they added a few special touches to make it perfect. I just bought the cake in the picture & have a 2nd on order for early February. I'll update my review after picking up the 2nd cake since my son gave them a good amount of leeway in the design (except for the overall theme). I can highly recommend this location and know you won't be disappointed! If by chance you are-just explain that to them & they will usually work with you to make the design the way you want it done. She wasn't greeting customers, asking who was next, or helping move the line along. It also looked like the other employee was making all of the orders by themselves while Delajah just stood there. On top of that, I didn't see her cleaning or helping keep the work area organized during the rush. I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but from a customer's perspective, it looked unfair to the employee who was doing all the work.
