Personally speaking, TCBY has the BEST ice cream! For a chain facility, I'm obsessed with the rainbow cream and the cotton candy. However on Wednesdays they have a special $1.99 cone special. It's so worth it. Also, the teens that work here are always so nice and seem to really like there job. They should definitely have higher ratings. Great food, service, and the place is always clean. I would highly recommend coming here for some good ice cream. They have sherbet options and soft serve. I understand it's not your local ice cream spot that makes their ice cream in house, but it's definitely worth the trip and the money. Highly recommended! read more

I arrived at 6:45 and the two staff folks were cleaning up and the don't close till 10:00. They were nice and friendly. I ordered a pumpkin small waffle cone and it was like $5:50, and the yogurt was sour tasting. I usually like pumpkin everything but this was nasty. Awful. I watched the employee serve the family in front of us - she grabbed the cones with no gloves on nor did she wrap a napkin around the cone. My son even noticed it. When it was our turn, a different employee helped us and my son ordered his Oreo in a cake cone and before I could ask her to not take the cone that her co-worker had already touched with her bare hand, she did the same thing? I then politely asked her to please get a new cone and not touch it with her bare hands. She looked completely baffled and confused as to how she would get a cone without touching it. I told her she could just wrap a napkin around it. Why we didn't leave, I have no idea. Then- we paid and I noticed that I was charged for the small cups and then charged separately for the plain, cake cones (NOT waffle cones.) Why did I have to pay extra for the cake cone? She didn't even use a cup- the yogurt was just served in the cone. Can you please explain that? Why did I pay for a CUP of yogurt and then an additional charge for a cone. Would I have been charged extra for the germs if I hadn't asked for her to use a napkin when touching the cone? I'd love to hear from the owner. If you'd like to discuss the sanitary issues with your employees, let me know. I'm happy to give you the date and time of my visit in addition to employee descriptions. Very strange tonight. I personally have had great experiences at TCBY. The staff is always extremely pleasant. That was not the case tonight. The website says it closes at 10. The store door says it closes at 10. The older gentleman who is friends with the owner? wanted to argue with me. Apparently they are going to be changing the hours? We were there at 9:15. My daughter wanted a milkshake. The machine was "down". The younger staff working with the gentleman looked confused. Did he just not want to make a milkshake? My daughter was flexible and ordered something else. It was just not the customer service that i have come to expect from the awesome staff they usually have there. I spoke with other customers on my way out. They were all treated the same way. Hopefully it's an isolated experience. read more

Why I randomly think of places to review from home when I have nothing else to do is beyond me. I have been going to this TCBY since I moved to Timonium back in the early 90's. They are always staffed with kids from Dulaney or other nearby high schools. Consistantly good soft serve yogurt and is still the best place in the area to go for ice cream in my opinion. White Chocolate moose in a parfait with gummies, orero and caramel is the way to go . read more

We come here almost every Wednesday for their Waffle cone special. The soft serve yogurt is creamy and delicious; even the nonfat sorbet is tasty. There are no chairs for seating but there are a few bar height tables to hang out. It's a casual place, nothing fancy. read more

I came here to pick up a cake for a friend's birthday. I was surprised that the cake cooler was empty, but the guy behind the counter was very helpful and brought 3 cakes out from the back so I could see what they had. His recommendation was spot on, the oreo cake was a huge hit. It was a little disappointing that they only had 3 cakes in stock though. Our Columbia TCBY usually has a better selection so I would recommend calling ahead here if you need a cake. read more

The TCBY on York Rd. in Timonium is filthy since the new owner/manager took over! I bring my family here atleast once a week and the tables are always sticky and dirty now. The windows have chocolate and finger prints all over them. The floors are disgusting. It's obvious the health department hasn't paid a visit in awhile! The new girls at the counter are impatient and rude. From now on, I'll pay more $$ and go to Cold Stone. read more

I've been to other tcby where it was self service. This one you order at the counter and they charge extra for each topping.

I received their flyer and was excited to check this place out. When I get there the empty wall, lack of decoration, lighting were the first things that disappointed me. The next thing was the menu and the distance from the counter, it was hard to read the ingredients. I said to myself it is the first month of their opening things would get better but the bummer part was no warm greeting and the person behind the counter just staring at me. I asked what is your specialty? what is your famous item in the menu? THE RESPOND TO BOTH QUESTIONS WAS I DON'T KNOW. The person offered me a sample of white mouse banana yogurt, which I didn't like. I asked can I have pomegranate smoothies and the respond was our ice machine is broke Sorry!!! at that point, I was so disappointed and left the store. One more thing for yogurt you should ask them to give it to you and it is not like the other yogurt place. In conclusion, if I want yogurt I will go to Tutti Fruity, for ice cream I will go to Baskin and Robins and Cold Stone. My recommendation is please do a market study before opening a business. In York rd there are two yogurt places that are so famous, then there are Cold Stone, Friendly's, B&R so these businesses are your competitors, therefore, you should offer something much better than these places. Please hire professional people to make a marketing plan for you and teach your staff the professional customer treating manner. read more
