Hawaiian Shave Ice $3 @ (4/5 NOMs). I really enjoyed this…read morehawaiian shaved ice. I went with Pink Lemonade, Blue Berry and Coconut flavors in a nice pretty rainbow! Loved Blue Berry, so nomnom. Coconut was very strong so I wouldn't order it. Some of the nice people work at this food truck. Stop by and say hello to them! I will post more pics of them later. Great 5th nom representing Baltimore during the Baltimore vs Washington DC Food Trucks

Ok, I may lose my Baltimore residency for this…read more Way. Better. Than. Sno-Balls. Way. Better. The consistency of Hula Honey's summertime treats puts all sno-balls to shame. Their shaved ice is like a fine snow that almost evaporates on the tongue, leaving a huge burst of tasty tasty flavor. And speaking of flavors, you won't find the rainbow assortment here. Honey's has less than a dozen, I'd wager. But in addition to the usual standbys, they have several "organic" flavors, made with cane sugar and natural flavors. I actually broke with personal long-standing tradition and passed up blue raspberry for the organic peach flavor, and boy howdy was I rewarded. Major peach punch-the-face with evaporating snow iciness. Delicious. Add to that, the cutest food truck ever, although you probably shouldn't call it a truck. Honey's is a bright yellow converted Bajaj auto-rickshaw. Easy to spot, but if you're not sure, look for the fat man running after it like a kid to the ice cream truck. That would be me. Oh, and they don't have marshmallow fluff, so don't even ask. But if you're partial to that, you're hating on me by now anyway.

Great service, excellent cocktail and mocktail selection, and delicious island-fusion cuisine!…read more I visited The Duchess during Restaurant Week and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is beautiful, with a vintage yet elegant feel, a cozy fireplace, and stunning chandeliers. Tessa, the general manager, was warm and welcoming, and our server, Zoe, was kind, attentive, and very helpful in guiding us through the menu. The food was fantastic! I highly recommend the Short Rib Kare Kare, the broccolini, and the award-winning Crispy Shrimp & Corn Patties. For dessert the chocolate Namalaka was a fave!

We came here for the Mother's day course - overall pretty good but not impressive…read more Appetizers were okay, not impressive. Arepa was not that good, corn flatbread wasn't good and very dry. The crispy shrimp and corn patties were like a crispy takoyaki so actually pretty good and the Mac and caviar was like a cold macaroni salad also pretty good just not impressive for a nice dinner. Was really looking forward to trying their duck confit chilakiles, but they ran out unfortunately. A little surprising since it's many hours before they close. I was considering coming again to try the duck confit, but after trying everything else I'm not sure it's worth the drive here since I'm not from the baltimore area. Their grilled ahi tuna was done well and the sauce was really good. The garlic soy shrimp pancit had good textures and flavour as well. The nori butter tteokbokki was lacking in flavour a little. Missed a bit of acidity to balance out the cream. Desserts were also just okay. I'm usually a sweets person, but I was kind of disappointed. The carrot mochi cake was strange, the texture was good, but the flavours did not mesh well together and I was confused what I was eating. The latiya was dry. The shaved ice was pretty refreshing but not impressing. The Ube flan was good though!
