3/26/22 Coming to this store is a blast. I see the cats in the cradle, but no silver spoons. I see birds looking at me like I'm the man on the moon. As I watch these birds their eyes are looking back at me. Certainly some birds are wish to be set free. There is one bird I saw. I don't remember what time of bird, but I could envision the bird coming home with us. Not sure how our other family member would feel about it, but we would find out. Two birds in one house...it can be done. The staff gave off good vibes and finding the food our bird eats was easy. However, sometimes our bird is picky about the food we buy. I think about the jungle gym I see the birds walking along and think about my bird having fun on them. I see some birds climbing their cages and hanging on upside down. This is strange and fun to see. I wonder what they see when they look at me? To be a human and go where you want to go. Kiss Jennifer Tilly and take her out for a show. Yeah, that is the life. Nevertheless, I had fun here. I even saw a cat stare down like a fight was going to happen. The black cat vs the orange cat. The black cat thought descression is the better part of valor. Black cat wisely found a hiding spot the orange cart couldn't find. This stopped the fight. On our way out, we were given some sample packs of bird seeds. I wonder what our little family member will think of these seeds. Oh, I still haven't held any of large birds yet. Getting bite by a bird isn't the scary thing, but I still find the large birds a little intimidating. I wonder if they feel this way with some of the humans they see? Oh well. Look forwards to coming back here. read more

The store was very clean and such a large option of birds and toys. Staff and birds were all so friendly I definitely recommend visting!

It bought my baby from this place (white faced cockatiel) 4 months ago, and didn't have issue trimming his nails before now, so I decided to trust professionals and brought him for a NAIL TRIM. NOT WING TRIM. Front desk asked me 2 times to make sureB When I got him back his wings were trimmed!!! And the answer I got was " We didn't touch his wings, they might've fallen out when he was flapping around" I opened his wings when we got back to the car and they're clearly trimmed! How is it okay??? He just got his 2 flying feathers out after 1,5 months of molting! I'm extremely mad. Don't leave your babies unsupervised if you take them for a nail trim! Or don't take them there for a trim at all! Disappointed. read more

This is not a store I would support. This place is extremely awful, and it's terribly sad. They are nothing but money-hungry and really don't care about the parrots they have. They tried to "downsize" by putting parrots that don't get along with each other to "save" space, but this runs the extreme risk of inbreeding. Not to mention, they sold hundreds of breeder birds within the span of a week. How is that possible or responsible for finding homes for so many traumatized rescue birds in such a short amount of time? They present the place as "lovely" and "well taken care of," but no one sees what goes on behind the scenes. They have a warehouse with two rooms full of breeder birds, many of which had little to no human interaction, causing them to become aggressive. I have seen so many birds plucked and under immense stress in this poorly maintained store. I cannot continue to support this facility any longer. read more

Such an impressive bird-friendly setup. The birds are all socialized and they breed them on-site. Amazing selection, well cared for, happy, cuddly birds. Our family visits in some capacity regularly, not because we are "bird people" because we are/were not. Being first time bird owners is an exciting yet scary time. You're making a lifetime feathered friend but there is not as much research and information available to owners (as compared to dogs and cats). We did our research before rescuing our Budgerigars from the local animal shelter, but we wanted to provide them with the best life! Large chain pet stores don't offer a large selection of items/enrichment and the food options were difficult to select from. We found TC Aviary through Yelp and they have become our Go To bird stop! Walking in, you see ear tipped (TNR) cats walk up to welcome you with pets followed directly by a verbal welcome from an employee. Large snapping turtle tanks are located on both sides of the entry for guest's view pleasure only. Bird toys are organized by size to help bird owners select the best enrichment items for their size bird. If you have a Budgerigar or an Amazon, they have a toy and a bird stand large (or small) enough for your feathered family member. TC Aviary also offers a wide array of food and treats to keep your bird healthy. The back room is probably everyone's favorite. The back room showcases birds available for sale, birds being rehomed, and some of the Shop Birds (not available for sale). The center of the room offers a massive bird stand/jungle gym (which is also available for individuals to view online through their website) and the bird cages are arranged around the bird stand/jungle gym. The cages are kept clean and staff is constantly moving around the back area keeping birds safe, entertained, and helping potential bird parents. TC Aviary frequently offers Conures, Quaker Parrots, Cockatiels, and Cockatoos for sale. Their rehoming options (Older Birds) change based on availability. Just remember, birds are loud. This room has many birds. Therefore, the room is loud. TC Aviary seems to always love the birds they sell because they allow guests to bring their birds to visit the store. This is an excellent way to share experience for potential buyers because it encourages customers to ask questions about birds they are interested, owners to share their feathered children, and maybe show off a few tricks. We love TC Aviary as bird lovers, turtle lovers, and cat lovers! The staff has been nothing but kind and always willing to share their knowledge. We have been back twice in just a few months; it is approximately an hour drive but it is worth it! read more

Used to come here as a kid to hold some of the birds and hangout. Came back after a few years looking to do the same thing looking at potentially adopting one of the birds and it was a very different experience. Place was empty and staff were doing their own thing not looking to assist in any way. After trying to get some assistance the staff seemed annoyed like I was wasting their time. Held a bird for maybe 2 minutes and promptly left after, don't plan on returning. read more

This place is the best place to go if you want to purchase a healthy parrot that is hand fed. Also the people working here are so nice and very helpful. I regret that I didn't give my green conure more of a chance when I first got her and I tried returning her to the aviary but I'm glad I didn't because she's the sweetest thing ever and now I want another bird from this place- hopefully a cockatiel if and when it becomes available. This place is highly reputable to the point where the vet was praising them when I told her where I got my green cheek from. Definitely recommend. read more

I've been a loyal customer for 10 years. I have several parrots from this store and all are happy and healthy. I highly recommend for all your avian needs. Tammy and Carrie are a wealth of knowledge about birds and are always willing to give friendly advice or suggest a new toy or food/treat. I have purchased anywhere from macaws to doves from them and my flock is just wonderful. read more

These people are angels. They helped me with my 21 year old amazon parrot. They clipped his nails and wings and managed to do the impossible. They were so gentle and fast, and they were kind enough to suggest solutions for my parrots feet. This store has a lot of neat things. If they don't have something, they'll order it. Fantastic place with fantastic owners and employees! They have been around for over 20 years, but I only just discovered them last year when I became a first time bird owner. Tammy, Carrie, and everyone there is knowledgable, caring, friendly and helpful. The shop is huge- clean, organized and well-stocked, and their bird room is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I love going there, not only to shop, but also to see the birds. :) I always leave with a smile! read more

I scheduled an appointment for a nail trim and DNA test for my bird and when I got there they told me I didn't have an appointment for that day. Then after checking again they told me I was an hour early even though I had an email from them confirming my 11am appointment for that day. I had to wait a little while before they finally took him. Then when I said it was for a trim AND dna test they were surprised and said I definitely didn't have an appointment for that because it wasn't on the schedule at all but okay. They did what I asked which was fine but I found it very unprofessional, especially when I had an email confirmation. I triple checked and even had the email pulled up on my phone to show them. It was definitely from them and they knew the employee who I contacted to make the appointment by name. They weren't bad in the actual service but clearly need to work out some of their scheduling problems.... Other than that, I did find the store very interesting and would visit again without an angry bird in a carrier so I could look around more. read more

If I could give zero stars to this place I would. I purchased a baby cockatiel from them in August. I didn't want her to be lonely so I purchased another baby from them. 9 days later the second baby was found at the bottom of the cage dead. I went straight to them that same day. The birds were cage mates and he had died barely a week after purchase. This one had no band I asked one of the helpers if it had been raised here when I went to get him she blatantly said yes she did when I spoke with the owner she then told me that it hadn't. Lady #1 lied. The owner told me the only way they'd give me another bird is if I had a necropsy done (btw it's more expensive than just buying another cockatiel). I took my live bird to get checked out because obviously I was worried, the vet said she is perfectly healthy and that the other bird most likely died from congenital defects. I'm telling you this so that you don't waste your money here because the next week you may not even have a bird the next week and some of them are thousands of dollars and what they refuse to do is help. They add insult to injury on top of your bird dying they'll give you an entire list of how you probably killed your own bird and send you on your way. read more
