Ok this is a little different. I'm posting this review on behalf of Robin Engleman because she is our piano teacher and doesn't have Yelp. So I have to help her support this company. Her words exactly! I must give a shout out and a hearty thank you to a business in Duluth, GA - Taylor's Collision. I bought my now 8 year old Lexus RX350 4 years ago, but over time, the paint on part of one of the doors had faded. Compared to the rest of the car it was really noticeable. My great mechanic, Peter Merriam, recommended Taylor's and yesterday afternoon I had some time before my afternoon lessons so headed over there. The young part owner looked at the door, asked me to drive over to one of the garages and began working on it. I left about an hour later with the door cleaned, repaired, buffed, waxed, even a scratch/smudge removed on another door, and a full car wash. The door now looks like the rest of the car! Granted, this is not a permanent fix, but should at least last another four years. Not only that, I had the most pleasant conversations with the owner and the newly hired employee who washed my car. What was I charged? NADA! I will be picking up a large order of bagels for them today as a small way of saying thanks. We had a bumper changed there in December 2022. We were happy with the speed, the quality, and the price. They could improve the customer service over the phone a bit because the young lady I talked to kept going back and forth to the manager to ask the same questions (most of which were common sense). I was referred to Taylor Collision and went for an estimate. I was given a date to bring vehicle in. On date they pushed the date back. No problem. After 5 months, 6 calls, 1 email and a text directly to owner, nothing - no response. Can't really rate the quality of work. I hear it's great...price seemed great also. These guys were awesome. I recently took my 2014 4runner here after a trusted connection recommended them. Max went the extra mile to deliver the vehicle when it was done. The fender damage was perfectly restored and the car was detailed too! What stood out the most however was on the day they were expected to be complete, Max reached out and said he preferred to re do some of the touchups to the paint that weren't up to his standard of excellence. He sent me a picture and I genuinely don't think I would have noticed what he had in mind but that communicated a willingness to do an exemplary job. Take my car there after rear end accident. They take off rear bumper to see damage in process of removing rear bumper some who they broke rear window and leave like its was like that. Some more staff was taking off the car when it's was there. I ask them about. They sad it was like this and they not responsible for it and on top of that they changed me 25$ a day for my car been there. I try to pick up my vehicle they sad that I have to pay out of my packet because insurance is not paying. End up paying them 1500$ for removing my rear bumper. Original bill was 3000$ they say and they try to make it look like they helping me out. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! read more

I have used Taylor's Collision 2 times once for minor quarter panel damage to my daughters Honda. They did a wonderful job. The second time was for major over 7000.00 worth of damage to my new Mazda. The car came back perfect and I am very picky. I couldn't have been happier with their work. They kept me updated and even delivered the car earlier than promised. Hopefully I won't ever need their services again but if I do I will take my car back to Taylor's. read more

Taylor Collision in Duluth on Buford did very questionable repair work on our Volvo XC90 in April 2009 and got paid $1900 for a repair. Read the rest, see my profile picture, and judge for yourself. This is your warning. A few months after the work was done the bondo work cracked and because we were so busy we didn't end up taking the car back for over a year to repair it. This shouldn't matter since the warranty is good for as long as you own the car. The shop manager told us that the car had been dented by something like a basketball. Bondo is not supposed to crack if the sheet metal is prepped properly (any reputable shop will tell you this) no matter what pressure is applied, especially if hit by something as light as a basketball, which it was not. When we returned to have the crack and dent repaired in August 2012 they painted the front fender and driver door and returned the car to us where the driver door paint was noticably darker than the door behind it. You could clearly tell it was two different shades of metallic green. We left the shop not realizing the difference in color and immediately went back one hour later after we noticed it at lunch. The manager said that that was common and that the paint could not be matched. At this point, I COMPLETELY lost faith they were a capable shop for repair. I took it to a highly reputable and ethical shop down the road with over 30 years of repair expertise. I asked the new shop to repair the paint problem and the owner was shocked at how horribly the work was done by Taylor Collision. The new shop is charging is $1832 to repair everything back to original, including the borken parts and all damage and paint. This is cheaper than the original work and I trust the new shop immenselt. Upon further inspection by the new shop when they removed parts to repair the door, the new shop found dents and scratches around the door panel where the panel had been pried off (it should have been removed without issue if the original shop knew what they were doing). The new shop also noticed that the speaker cover, interior door panel and exterior driver door handle had been broken and had been glued back to the driver door. The plastic clips on each part had been broken when they were improperly removed. These parts were not safety related except for maybe the door handle, but could easily have come off later or caused rattles. When the parts were removed from our car at the new shop we got pictures of the broken parts, the silicone and glues used to put the parts back in place, and the damage done to the inside of the door by the pry bar or screwdriver used to remove the inside door panel. We also have a very clear picture showing how much darker the driver door is than the door behind it. Taylor Collision's manager actually admitted that the paint was on the driver door was supposed to look like that and that the fender paint work that was done originally did not match the hood color. We have attempted to get our money back so that the reputable shop can do the repair but Taylor's view is that we should bring it back to them for repair. They must be joking. Why would I take it back to a shop that damaged the car, didn't fix it properly the first or second time, and charged us full price for the work initially and reused broken parts. Taylor maintains that the dent in the door was caused by some other damage, but based on their damage to the clips on plastic parts, the use of silicone and glues to put broken parts back, damage to the inside of the door, and the horrible attempt to match the paint we believe that the bondo was was done wrong in the first place. I forgot to mention that the side mirror cover kept falling off after the first repair, too. STAY AWAY! read more
