I've been doing surveys and panels for several years now. You have to do a lot of applications before you get chosen for a group, since they are sometimes looking for very specific types of participants. Staff are friendly and helpful, and checkin is fairly straightforward. Not a tonof parking in the little garage, so give yourself extra time to maybe park on the street. Depending on the length of the panel, it may come with food. I've had Jersey Mike's before, with chips. And they always have water bottles to grab and coffee. Payment is gift cards, redeemed online from an email. read more

Update: 8/15/2026 - The reward card arrived via email as promised. Yay! *** I've been on TR's potential focus group participant list for quite a few years now & I've done a bunch of surveys for them in order to be selected. Time and time again, I've completed a lengthy email survey and no call back. Until this month... at long last, I was selected for a group that took place on Tuesday. It's very easy to get to the TR building & they have plenty of parking in the underground lot. Suite 405 is bright and pleasant. I arrived 15 minutes early for the group, they had sandwiches from Jersey Mike's and a selection of chips for us as well as snack mix, bottled water & coffee. I had to show my ID & sign some NDA paperwork. Then, I waited with the other participants for a bit, and finally, I was called into the room with seven other folks. The group took about at hour & 40 minutes and it was certainly an experience. I can't say more than that... :) As a participant in one of these groups, you do earn a small stipend. TR emails you a virtual gift card about two weeks after your session. So, I'll update this review when it arrives. Overall, the experience was interesting, the folks at TR were pleasant enough, and I would be a participant in a focus group again if the opportunity presented itself. Peace. read more

Taylor Research - Marketing Near Me - San Diego, California

See all

Several months ago I qualified for and participated in a "Public Benefits" Survey to which I was invited by Taylor Research. It was easy, fast and straightforward. After completion I earned $25. After a long while in which a series of 'return-to--senders' nearly jeopardized my reward, I contacted Taylor Research Offices. It took a moment and several more tries, but the company honored their word and their commitment to this participant and when it seemed that all was lost---they delivered. I received exactly what they promised even when it was not so easy to get it to me. Right now I've got $25 burning a whole in my pocket and I can't wait to qualify for the next survey! read more

They ask you a lot of the same questions every time you're interviewed to "possibly""qualify" to get a paid study. Took me 2 months of wasted time to realize "it was a waste of time." Nah I'm good bruh! read more

You'll work free for them! Taylor Research gets 1,000s of FREE market research questionnaires completed, by promising to pay you for your input (if you get called in). But you have a less than 1% chance of getting called in.   In 5 yrs with Taylor Research, I've completed hundreds of lengthy questionnaires. No one called me anywhere. Do the math. You're working free for them! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.  Don't refer your friends.  They will hate you for it. read more

Típ: Yes, it's hard to get picked, just keep answering those questions as honest as you can eh hem.. Did my first taste test today! Not bad at all. Very easy process from the check in, to the taste test, to the exit. Touch screen monitors while conducting the test. Nice touch! (no pun intended). 4 samples, quick survey, done! Whole thing took about 30 minutes. Típ: Great way to earn quick cash (well Visa Card) read more

If you register with them you can get on research studies. They send you emails on studies that you can register for online and then they call to see if you qualify. They will pay you for your opinions on certain things like, healthcare and what you would like or other type of opinions or even a mock jury. They pay you anywhere from $80 on up depending on the study. Nice new facility in the Clairemont/Kearny Mesa area behind the Arby's restaurant. The only thing that I didn't like was that they give you a gift card now instead of cash. Other than that it's okay. You can only do a study once every six months so keep track of when you last went on a study. read more

Taylor Research gets 1,000s of FREE market research questionnaires completed, by promising to pay you for your input (if you get called in). But you have a less than 1% chance of getting called in.   In 20 yrs with Taylor Research I've completed hundreds of lengthy questionnaires, and only been paid twice. Do the math. You're making 15 cents per hour. I've referred friends who get harassed by all these lengthy questionnaires, who have NEVER gotten paid.   DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.  Don't refer your friends.  They will hate you for it. read more

I was scheduled to do a SmartPhone study with Taylor Research, along with eight other people. It turned out that I wasn't needed, so they gave me a $100 VISA gift card, and said that I had the advantage of being able to do another study soon, instead of having to wait. I can't complain, I got a free sandwich, soda, made $100, and I didn't do anything. In the meantime, I'm waiting to be called for another one! read more

I have been with Taylor Research for several years and done about 3-4 studies with them. You only get called about once per year and the pay is pretty decent when it comes to other firms. I love the new location and the offices. The only negative is that their bathroom is located inside a human maze in which you will get lost and possibly die from finding your way out. Highly recommended! read more

I've done a few focus groups with them over the last 5 years (or maybe more). You can only do one a year. They are absolutely professional and a pleasure to work with. It takes a few phone calls to ensure you qualify, and more often than not you don't. But once you do qualify it's easy. Just show up and give your opinion. Strangely enough they usually provide snacks as well, something I didn't expect. They pay you cash on your way out. It's like Yelp in a room with a two way mirror. I've never done any of the in-home groups, those seem like more of a commitment. read more

Wish I qualified for their studies more often! These guys are great and they really know what they are doing. All of their staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. In my case they sat a group of us down on some couches, explained that there were people watching behind a mirrored window and that we were being recorded and then started in on asking us our opinions on certain products. I had a great time in my focus group and loved the gift card as an end result! read more

Get paid to check out stuff. I am in. I just wish i could get approved more. Seems like i never get approved for them. I did one and that took 3 months. Always get the pre surveys but haven't gotten approved for another one yet. I wish i could fill out one survey profile so i dont have to put the same information over and over. Then they could just contact me when i am approved for a research. read more

The overall experience was very positive. The center is professional and it was really nice that they served some snacks and drinks before the group. The parking is easy to find and everything was as expected. I suspect I won't be picked for another study for a while, but the one I participated in was very interesting. read more

The office is very clean and modern the front desk receptionist is very nice. The problem I had was the actual study. I was asked to answer questions on the computer and unfortunately the woman who was hovering over me is a very loud breather and I couldn't focus properly. I cannot even begin to tell you how distracting it was to not be able to think and use the computer because I have a literally someone standing 2 feet behind me breathing like a damn horse. I understand she has some sort of medical issue but could you step back so I could actually think and not distracted by your noise? I kept shooting her looks and brushing her off but she just is on me like Velcro. Taylor you may need to think about who you have administrating in those rooms? read more

What a kick to be paid for your opinion. They fed me and showed me improvements to my favorite electronic device! Because of the confidentiality of what I saw I have been sworn me to secrecy otherwise I would tell you and you would know why this particular device is better! Me! read more

loved my experience here, wish they'd qualify me for more studies! Beautiful, comfy facility, friendly people, plenty of parking!

I signed up over a year ago. I have only been able to qualify for 1 study on a breakfast sandwich. That went well and I was paid with a Visa card. The facility was fine and the staff were fine. Here is my biggest complaint-I am asked to see if I qualify for NUMEROUS studies. They ask me pages and pages of questions about a product. Then, after I spend my time answering their questionaire, they end up telling me I do not qualify for their study. I feel like they are stealing from me because by the time I answer their pages of questions, they have their needed data from me for free! This is SO wrong of them! I am going to discontinue with them as I have only been qualified for 1 survey in a LONG time, yet given them way too much of my time for free!!!! read more

This is a great company to do research with. I got payed for my honest opinions. There is ni catch to it. You are paid to give your honest opinion which is great. The staff is very friendly. read more

I signed up with this company a year ago. The only contact I've ever had were several email requests for survey information to be considered for the paid focus groups. They say these are optional surveys, but they are required to be considered for a group. The focus group is the carrot they dangle to get you answer endless surveys with your information freely given. I've never been chosen and don't know anyone who has been. But they sure get a lot of free marketing information gathered from these emails - with your consent - but never having to pay you for that information gathered. Time is money - don't waste yours giving up information and not being paid for it. read more

im on my way into this place today for a USAA website and app use survey? I had to look at yelp to make sure Im not going to be stolen and on a missing person list haha - looking forward to seeing how this works. some of you may want to look at what companies have surveys done here and try to sign up that way - I completed a 5 ? survey from my bank themselves then I got calls email info and a txt reminder for appointment, held here. read more

They will send you hundreds of surveys to see if you qualify so you can spend hours doing that. Even when I did qualify I never got a call or appointment. Waste of my precious time. Save yourself the trouble. I made $75.00 in 2 years and spent hours doing stupid surveys for free. read more

This research company is terrible! I have been on their list for over a year and somehow never been chosen. What a waste of time!!
