As a small business owner I've come to know the Marketing and Graphics design field as an arena for those in know to charge absurd amounts of money to do things you could do yourself. Denise changed that for me. The first thing she did was teach me how to do the easy things for myself. They were simple things but the types of things I've been quoted large $ to do for me by other firms. The $ she saved me by teaching me how to control those things myself more than paid for the services she's actually charged me for - fairly I might add. Oh ya, creative genius. Denise does a great job working from concept and idea all the way to the creation of your image / brand / marketing piece. You want cheap, buy a logo online. You want a true representation of you and your business then call Denise! read more

I'm a marketing manager at a local non-profit agency, and I've struggled to find a designer who really listened to us and created materials based on what we need (vs. what they know how to design). Denise is incredibly easy to work with, and I feel like we've hit the jackpot with a winning combination of design expertise and price. Our large agency serves 37,000 clients per month, all from very diverse backgrounds. Denise has done an excellent job helping us tailor our marketing messages to meet the needs of these different audiences. Her design work is amazing, and for the first time in 7 years, I'm actually receiving a lot of compliments on our fliers out in the community. She's also great at creating memorable and meaningful copy. I plan to continue working with BRANDgfx, and refer Denise to other marketing colleagues whenever I get the chance. Thank you for all your wonderful work! read more

As a design professional (architecture background), I've come to get to know Denise and her work over the last 6 months. I have a higher than average level of competency with graphic layout and software, but absolutely respect and admire great work of other designers regardless of field. On a recent marketing project (trifold professional directory) that I started and felt it was OK and ready to print, Denise was brought on to make what I thought were key revisions that really transformed the product into a truly PROFESSIONAL brochure. In this project, she proved to make clear decisions regarding SCALE, FONT & COLOR selection, LEGIBILITY, and COMPOSITION. She also had great suggestions for quality printers at a great value. I have seen other examples of her work and deem it to be of superbly high quality. With regard to her professional demeanor, she is open-minded, decisive, prompt, and friendly. I would strongly recommend Denise for any graphic design client who understands that pictures are not only essential, but opportunities to relay strategic ideas about your product or service. read more

Imagine this: You have an idea. The "function" of the idea is set, but in order to unleash it to where it belongs, you need the "form". The mistake I made again and again before being introduced to Denise, is thinking that my "job" was to come up with both because the latter was going to be too expensive or whatever. My breakthrough occurred when Denise showed up and broke the process up into simple, easily digestible roles. Coolest part came when she shared with me that my role was already done. Her role was to sew some legs on the idea and teach it to run. And boy did she. Each person's needs are different so I don't see the value in sharing what, specifically, she did for me - other than to say - that it kicked ass! Almost instantly, I had numerous people from outside of my personal network approaching me from different channels at once - and it was totally autonomous. The return on my investment occurred within the first month and the residual income from that decision is proving its worth in gold ever since. The real gift, though, is the one she keeps on giving me. The gift of knowing my only role is to produce the idea, and then give it to Denise to make money. I love it! read more

We are so pleased with the professional service we get from Denise at BRANDgfx. We met Denise many years ago when we were just beginning our business. Given our perfectionistic tendencies when it comes to graphics and written communication, upon our initial meeting we realized Denise was an excellent fit for our needs. She helped us create a branding package for our business we are proud of that includes our logo, letterhead and marketing guidance. Over the years we have sought her support for key projects and most recently she is formatting our book. Her attentiveness to details and high standards continues to meet all of our expectations. We highly recommend BRANDgfx. read more

I'm in the same professional network and development group as Denise. I so admire her for her knowledge and willingness to share what makes for good marketing. She regularly schools the group on using free resources such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter (heck, even Yelp) to promote our businesses. She specializes in "strategic communication," which to me means that she helps clients hone their messages to reach their intended targets and to produce their intended results - so that there is tremendous value in each communication that a business sends out. She's also just really a nice person who is easy to understand, easy to like, easy to relate to, and who is constantly upgrading her own skill set and helping us to upgrade ours. read more

Denise Wallace is a gem. She is strategic, professional, creative and prompt! Given the nature of today's global marketplace, I've never met her personally as I live in Portland and she is in San Diego. Nevertheless, her service is always very personal and thorough. I know that when I work with Denise, or when I send others her way, the end result will be exactly on target. Denise is a true asset to any organization. read more
