He assured me it would be fine. I then asked about the length of the dress if it needed to be taken up. He told me doing so would ruin the integrity of it. A week later I call and he tells me it's done. We try on the dress and it's not snug at all. Asked if he had time to tighten up, not enough time. Took the dress elsewhere. Not only did they fix it, they also took up a few inches in 1 day. They did more for the same price. Was told that he'd barely made any alterations! He only pulled in the top trim and bent the zipper in the process!

I first met my friends at Stitch and Style during a difficult time when I was dealing with some health issues. They were incredibly patient and understanding, never making me feel rushed, even when I wasn't sure how long I'd be able to stand for fittings. That kindness meant more than they probably realize. I'm extremely particular about my clothes, especially my jeans. When they're hemmed, I want the original seam preserved and the width at the bottom to look exactly the way it did before.
