Took vehicle to dealership body shop for State Farm estimate. Vehicle had minor cosmetic damage ( rock chips) on front end and broken windshield. This was a result of asphalt from truck on freeway. This vehicle is otherwise emaculent. Explained to Kim that the front end was the extent of the damaged area. At a later date Kim wrote an estimate for $19,000 in repairs . In break down of estimate there was detail of replacement of components/parts all over vehicle that were not damaged. I explained to Kim that the estimate was exaggerated. She went on to say there was damage everywhere. But, she later stated that it had to be written up that way because, she could not just paint the hood. The color would be off so, she has to paint the entire vehicle. This was a misleading and unprofessional approach to a minor cosmetic situation. This situation is one that has caused me to not recommend or consider future business with this location. Every review states that this is not a very good business. I would give a zero if I could. Bought the car under a year ago already been in for service for a non working air conditioner that of course was not covered under warranty. So brand new car and had to pay to get something fixed in the first 3 months. This was all after we had to go back several times due to and incompetent sales person who put the wrong license plate on the car and then the sales department who needed paperwork we already provided for a trade in. My experience was bittersweet. The good: I was thankful that they were able to get my car in the week of Christmas to have recalls done. I was also happy that I got in and out when I dropped it off. I was grateful that my car was finished sooner than expected. It was awesome that they sent a shuttle to my house to pick me up & the driver was a really good guy. My car was washed before being returned to me. The bad: I was told that my car was done, I got to the dealership, and my car was nowhere to be found. I waited for 1/2 hour before they finally brought it up and that was AFTER I asked what was going on. The service advisor had to hunt down the porter to find out where she was. When I finally got my car back, the porter was smirking and half heartedly told me to have a good day (sorry I interrupted your "you" time) and quickly walked away. My seat was pulled all the way forward and raised all the way up. I literally couldn't get into my car. When I started my car, the heat was at full blast, the wipers were going, and the radio was blasting rap music at close to full volume. It seemed like my car had been taken for a joyride. After waiting so long to get my car & then having it returned to me like that, I was going to go back in and complain, but it was the day before Xmas eve and I didn't have extra time to waste. My experience started out great, but ended horribly. It's frustrating that the porter's behavior is tolerated. Not only did she have to be tracked down to get my car, but she didn't have the decency, respect, or professionalism to return my car in the same way I'd left it. It's almost like she'd retaliated because I wasn't patient enough to wait for her to get my car on her time. My advice is to retrain staff on professionalism or hire people that want to be there. read more

They had it for one week, offered no assistance with a loaner vehicle, said they were backed up for weeks, offered no assistance with rentals. I had to do my own research as to which place had lower rates working with dealerships. While completing the breaks they "offered" to replace the windshield wiper arms as there was an active recall on them so we said sure. Ww got the call it was completed four days later. We picked up our expedition and drove it the 20 minutes home and the A/C was blowing warm/hot. When we dropped it off for the repair it was working perfectly fine blowing cold as it should be, with no concern if it being even remotely cool. We called and they said to bring it back the next day and they'd take a look. So we bring it up the next day, they had it for one day and said they did "diagnostic" testing and put a dye in there , and that it was working just fine and to call back in two weeks and to let them know if it's hot or cold. They claimed to see no leaks in the system but they said they'd leave the order open for a year just to be safe because it could have a very slow leak. Two weeks later, it was blowing hot again so we called. They had us bring it back a week later and again offered no assistance with a loaner or rental and had it for just over 24hrs and called to tell us they "found" a pinhole size leak in the AC condenser which was not caused by them as they "were no where near the condenser" and said we would have to pay 1600$ out of pocket for the repair. We opted to take our vehicle home and go elsewhere and were met with rude service reps and condescending customer service reps telling us that basically this is the end of the road for us unless we can "prove" they caused the damage. I will never bring another vehicle there or recommend them to a single person I know. Terrible service and experience from start to finish. The service department is a hustle and lacking in professionalism. I brought my car there for some maintenance that should have been covered under the warranty and Mr. Ed was very condescending and a rude jerk. After waiting 2 hours for my car (I had an appointment) I was told that my appointment was just for the write up. I then asked for my car and proceeded to state my displeasure to a kind manager. A woman manager jumped right in to try to become the lead hen in a chicken coop of chaos. No one asked Miss know it all for any advice. She walks around the offices in search of attention and credibility. Maybe she was Ms. Taylor with her feathered hair in the 80s. Finally, I checked with Mr. African Am male (twice he ignored me) at service and he completely would ignore me and wait for me to say something. Someone teach this idiot to say " can I help you" . This guy lacks in manners and an education. His demeanor was rude and it appeared he hates himself and his job. Do not go to this service department! Lots of Rude and disparaging employees! The Service department is very lackluster at this Ford location. I took my vehicle in to be diagnosed on 1/5/2023. After waiting two weeks and leaving several messages with the service department without a returned call, I made my way back to the dealership who still had my car on 1/18/2023. Not only was the service terrible but I got three separate quotes for the repairs that were all $4000 less that what this location quoted me for. This includes the cost of towing. Ok, i had recently left a review for the sales department but had not utilized the service department at the time, now i have something to say: i was getting out of my car and my seatbelt jammed, i drove right to the dealership hoping for a quick fix(im a dreamer), with my issue being a safety concern they were able to help me and get my car back to me the next day-i know every dealership has been backed up for at least a week for quite along time. My fiancé has purchased more than a few service vehicles from this dealership. He recently dropped off his service vehicle on Monday of last week for scheduled repair. As of the following Wednesday, the vehicle was still sitting in the service lot waiting for one of the service staff to pull the vehicle into the garage for service. This also is second time this dealership has failed to provide service in a timely manner on a vehicle which was purchased from them. Worst experience with Salesman Alex Ash. I emailed managers and still haven't heard back. The email below I sent to management I'm a recent customer at Taylor Ford that purchased a 22 Ford Expedition not too long ago from salesman Alex Ash after I purchased a vehicle he gave me a car wash slip due to the inconvenience of my contract being changed many times with random fees getting added on. I walked out the dealership and left the car wash slip on his desk text him immediately maybe a day after and asked him I will come pick it up he told me it was gone no big deal he will give it to me when new ones come in as you've been out for weeks. I purchased a vehicle on May 12 I'm not worried about the carwash pass as it's $30 a month and I will purchase it from the car wash itself. The issue I'm having is every time I speak to him he tells me he has it and then I get a text I say oh they're not in yet not sure if it's a lie or not but I didn't appreciate getting told that they were in and when I am ready to come in and tells me they're not. I got a little upset over the text messages with him and then his reply was if you're gonna be like this as a customer I don't mind losing you and I'm canceling all your orders and your friends orders. I'm talking about future orders that we ordered. I do not want my cars canceled and I did tell him that if they get canceled I will report it to Ford. Let's begin back when I got in an accident took my vehicle there got repaired came out with damaged on the other side of the car. Go there for a key fob. Charge me $250 for the key fob $75 to program the key fob and then I gotta take the key fob to a locksmith to get the hidden key cut for an extra 50 bucks. The gentleman that was supposed to program the key fob would never get off his butt to even talk to me person to person. I can only speak to the Service Department - NEVER AGAIN. Did I say NEVER? Yes NEVER, While the gentlemen were nice when I dropped it off, but that is where it ended - follow up calls not so nice and nice doesn't mean a thing when they DON'T fix your car. Main issue - my 2016 Mustang Engine Light on, rear reflector broke from bracket, Navigation concern? #1 Made an appointment waited 2 weeks engine light on (I understand short staffed). Took it in on a Thursday 8:30am #2 Promised for next day - called "twice" finally told me at 4:45pm oh they haven't had a chance to look at it yet!! Really?? 2 days and can't call and tell me? Told me it would be the first car on Monday at 8am - wrong again. Called at 11:00am on hold for 25 minutes while they "checked" - finally asked for Service Manager, I stated if its not being worked on "right now" I will come it, Manager stated it is and will be done this afternoon - finally picked it up at 4:45pm Monday #3 The Rear panel reflector light broke from the bracket on one side (not the lens). Yeah still broke!!! My Son works at the Mustang Plant in Flat Rock, yes its broke - all they did was PUSH it back in place. Got home and yes right back to sticking out - still broke. Per the Tech's write up words and I quote "found the left hand quarter panel reflector not seated properly, affixed the reflator okay at this time" end of quote #4 Asked to check my Navigation it use to show on the map if traffic lanes were congested (red) or green if no congestion. Again I quote the Tech write up "can not verify concern, road test Map/navigation operating as should checked for Sync update none available, no codes present" #5 When I picked the car up I asked about the reflector to maybe explain the comment? Again I quote "well I hope they didn't just push it back in" Not that is matters to them, I will NOT be buying my new Mustang from them either. I had a long standing relationship with this shop. I have had collision work done on 3 different cars. Although their customer service has always been less than favorable, I had considered their work to be fairly good, up until my latest experience. They caused new damage to my vehicle by running it through a car wash (I only hand wash, or use touchless car washes), and there was a new door ding on the passenger door. They never once offered any apologies for damaging my car. They buffed out the carwash scratches well enough, but the door ding was filled in and touched up leaving an incredibly ugly blemish. I keep my charger scat pack in immaculate condition. On top of all that the service department could not get my car in alignment, and could not solve vibration issues I am experiencing at highway speeds. I took my car back 3 times (twice on the same day I picked it up) to tell them the issue was unresolved. Everytime I took my car back the repairs were not addressed timely. It was obvious that I was a low priority. They kept my car 4 days and all they did was balance 4 tires. The alignment was still bad. Then they kept the car another week and sent it to a dodge dealership because they couldn't fix it. I reached out to the customer service manager, but she would not return my phone calls . They wound up having my car for about 3 months, and still didn't fix it. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Over 9 hours of my time wasted at this dealership. I was called by a gentleman about my current lease, which is over in miles, to come discuss switching into a new car. I went down on the Saturday after the 4th of July. I asked him if he could go over all of my options with me, and he made it sound like any car would be an option. So I selected a car and sat for over 4 hours at his desk as he attempted to get me approved. Every time he spoke to us it was something different about trying to speak with someone in financing, that they were short-staffed, etc. The place wasn't all that terribly busy. After the 4 hours I was sent home with the promise of a follow up. Monday afternoon I receive a call that they couldn't get me into the car originally discussed and they switched to a different car of the same make. I go back down to speak with the salesman and his manager regarding the lease. I find out because of their crediting system, I will not be able to be financed for the vehicle. (This took 3 hours) But, Ford apparently announced a new program that would essentially create a new slate for credit and it applied to the vehicle I wanted. I shook hands with the manager and they promised to drive the car up to me the next day. Tuesday afternoon I receive a call saying they read the fine print and this new credit program did NOT apply to hybrids, only gas-powered engines. The gas-powered engines they were NOT leasing. My salesman then attempted to pick a different car for me. I told him I would look for a different dealership as I was tired of the constant changes and run-around. I spoke with a different dealership who informed me that since I started my process at Taylor Ford, I would have a hard time getting it done anywhere else. I ended up calling and speaking to the manager who informed me he would do what he could to help me find a vehicle. I go in again and spend another hour speaking with someone else because I did not want to work with my original salesman anymore. This time I attempt to get a used car and asked the gentleman for the options that I COULD get into. We find a car, I pick it, and then we go to financing. Once again, I am unable to get financed for the car and at this point, all of their attempts for applying me for loans and the like has drastically hit my credit score. I speak on the phone on that Thursday with someone regarding the financing and he informed me no one would do it unless I could put money down on the car, which I just do not have but could try to get. He said he would look into it with a credit union and would call me back the following Monday, the 15th. This has been a 10 day process. The next Monday rolls around and I hear absolutely nothing. Thursday, an entire week after the call, I still hear nothing. So, I go to a completely different dealership who worked with me and got me into a used vehicle the same day. I attempted to turn in the lease with Taylor Ford, spend almost an hour waiting, only to find out I cannot turn it in without the full remaining payments. Taylor Ford has managed to waste almost 9 hours of my time over the course of two weeks. I was driving from Northville because I wanted to remain a loyal customer (these 4 trips alone added 2 hours of my life I will never get back). This entire situation of wasting my time, not being informed of things involving my credit upfront, and then not even giving me the time of day to say if they could or could not work with me anymore has left a bad taste in my mouth. Very easy to make an appointment with him, which he upholds every time and is on schedule, even after a snow storm he still sat with us for over three hours and shoveled off multiple vehicles to let us check them out. If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and I came in looking to purchase a Ford Explorer. Sat with a man named "Louis Horger". We test drive the 1st explorer, come back and this man YANKS the keys out of my hand and tells me it sold. Why he would even allow us to drive it (which was max 10 minutes) is beyond me if someone was inside purchasing it. We ask to look at a different one he has. He gives me the keys and tells me it's somewhere in the lot. I'm 9 months pregnant and he couldn't even pull up the car or at least walk us to the car! We go in to talk prices and this man refused to price match anything. When my husband asked to speak to a manager, he told my husband no that he couldn't. Didn't even try to lie and say there wasn't one there, just simply refused. My husband goes up to the counter and complains to manager. As my husband is walking out, Louis gets up from his desk and continues to badger my husband all the way out the door! Telling him he's ridiculous and he can go somewhere else! Literally yelling at my husband until he got in the car! I will never step foot in that dealership ever again. For a man who bragged about being there 25 years, he DESPERATELY needs to work on customer service and manners. read more

I used to live less than a mile from this dealership but I took my Ford vehicles well out of my way to Gorno Ford even for oil changes. What would inspire me to do that? In my opinion, they are just that bad. The oil changes for example, expect to wait at least an hour, sometimes two. But, the service department isn't nearly the worst of it. It's really the sales department that just operates dishonestly and just gives Ford dealerships a bad name. I guess the navigation reset button on the device was broken or there isn't enough ASE Certified technicians on staff so 1 guy has to oversee 6 others(just saying) I mean if your appointment is at 8a.m. and your car is going to be there all day, shouldn't you at least get a free rental for the day? I went to look at what Taylor Ford had on the lot for trucks this morning, as the weather was nice. I had been on the lot about 20 minutes when someone came over a Public address system and informed my the lot was currently closed and to please return during normal business hours. Every single time I bring it to them they can't do anything for like two months my car has a relatively serious recall and they told me "uhhhh bring it back in January" IT WAS OCTOBER and now for body shop they have promised me my car 3 different times and every time I call on the appointed day they say "uhhhh idk why so and so would promise you that it'll be done tomorrow" tomorrow never comes so good luck getting to work. All in all go to Feldman Chrysler in woodhaven it's only five minutes away from Taylor ford and the customer service is worlds better I wouldn't step foot in this place again.
