I appreciate that my advisor genuinely tried to help me with my transportation situation and kept communication open throughout the process. I could tell there was an effort to support me, and I'm grateful for that part of the experience. However, the overall situation ended up being extremely frustrating and costly. My car was kept for two weeks with no clear timeline on when parts would arrive or when repairs would be completed. That lack of information made it impossible to plan, and I had to come out of pocket over $1,200 just to cover transportation in the meantime. What should have been a manageable repair turned into a much bigger financial burden than I expected. What feels unfair is that the delays and uncertainty weren't caused by anything I did, yet I was the one absorbing all the extra costs. There was no offer of support, compensation, or even a realistic estimate to help me prepare. When a customer is without their vehicle for that long, especially without updates or accurate timelines, it creates stress, inconvenience, and unnecessary financial strain. While I appreciate the advisor's personal effort, the overall experience with the repair process was disappointing and ended up costing me far more than it should have. I was in the market for a new traverse. Called the operator to get connected to a sales person and I got the best one available. Her name is Carmen. She was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and within 10 minutes I was approved and had 5 cars for me and my husband to see and take for a test drive. Within 2 hours, took the car of our choice for a test drive, was shown the dash board and all the features, all the paperwork filled out and she got the car ready for delivery. I honestly feel that she should be running the department because she went beyond her job and did it very well. I am impressed with the professional level she showed and she will be the one I will go to for our next car. She truly deserves a promotion. I bought my car from the used side and have only taken it to their service department for all its needs (which was only oil changes and new tires). We hit the 100,000 mile and decided to take it in and have all fluids and spark plugs, wires (everything Chevy recommended at this time). They had it for about 4-5 days. After day 2 of driving the car I noticed at a stop the car was trying to stall. We took it back, they found the technician didnt seat a gasket properly and thats why it was doing it. A few weeks later took it back in because now the car will "jump" when accelerating. They had it for another 4 days, each day our update from them was we dont know what is going on. On the 5th day they called to tell us it would cost us $3500.00 to replace a sensor. When questioned if this could have been caused by the original technician error we got no answer except let me have the service manager look into it. We took the car home. It has now been 4 days no call even with us contacting them looking for an update. This is terrible customer service and one way to lose a customer and possibly others! read more

The woman in the service department actually said we don't make them we just sell them. I had a very minor repair. She said she would have to take pictures of it and send them to the factory. I got so mad I went across the street and traded it in on a GMC Canyon that didn't have a plastic armrest. Five years ago I gave Taylor Chevrolet five stars because the sales lady we dealt with and the customer service was outstanding. My, how things change. Even though our favorite sales lady isn't there anymore, we still go there for service. We live in Dearborn and pass at least four other Chevy dealerships to get to Taylor Chevrolet. I made an appointment for today, September 7 at 1 PM for vehicle maintenance because that's the way you have to do it now. I made the appointment a week in advance. I got there five minutes early and pulled into the service bay. No one was there to guide me in, or show me which lane to be in. I got out of my car and spoke with the first gentleman that I saw, which unbeknownst to me was a customer and not an employee. So I stood outside my car watching the people in the service office talk for at least 5 minutes. I thought for a minute that I had become invisible. So I walked up to the office and stood right in the doorway. Still no acknowledgment. No one even looked up. I guess I can save myself the long drive and save gas by not having to go all the way to Taylor for my car maintenance. Too bad. We really used to like Taylor Chevy. read more

I took my brand new truck in for service. I needed to get the park assist fixed. I was told that it wasn't covered under warranty even though it's a brand new truck. So, I ended up taking it to where I bought it from Michael Bates Chevrolet and behold they were able to fix it and it was covered under warranty. When I told them what Taylor Chevrolet told me that it couldn't be covered under warranty they we confused be I have bumper to bumper and extended warranty so it's definitely was covered. read more

I was searching for a 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 High Country with a Duramax. Taylor Chevrolet had what I was looking for, we worked up a deal, they even delivered the truck to my house 5 hours away. I financed through my own bank and everything on the transaction went flawless even up to the truck being delivered to my house. Upon delivery I noticed that there was no front license plate bracket (Illinois needs one) and the paperwork for the vehicle registration was for them trying to transfer a passenger vehicle onto a truck. I reached out immediately so they can make the corrections. I was told that the license plate bracket would be ordered immediately and shipped out right away and that the paperwork for my vehicle license plates would be fixed and sent to me immediately. Over 2 months and still waiting.... My truck was delivered the first week of July and after multiple times of being told it was shipped out I never received it. It finally got delivered to my house the first week of September. As of my registration for my license plates, I finally had to reach out to the third-party vendor in New Jersey to get confirmation that they processed the paperwork for my license plates. The problem is this wasn't done till August 24th. I even had to go purchase my own temporary license plate through a local title company so I wouldn't be driving my vehicle illegal. I could not even get them to send me an email saying that when my license plates do arrive, if they come in correct, Taylor Chevrolet would resolve the issue. I have submitted all of the text threads and emails from my salesman (JD) and the sales manager (JLS) to GMAC corporate and waiting for a response. read more

The only thing good about this dealership is s sales lady named VICTORIA. It's time for me to turn in my lease in Oct and I was told I would be penalized if I turned it in early although I paid the lease off. Today I was told by Kurt that I had to waive my pre-inspection and they would close out the lease b/c I'm more than 30 days out. I called back and spoke to the Business Development Mgr Denise who was useless and when I said I wanted to talk to the owner she refused. I will be filing a grievance with the BBB. So while they can get you financed in a lease, their customer service is VERY POOR when it comes to assisting in doing the lease return. I called GM Financial and they stated they have sent my file to the Auto Vin(lease inspection company) and it should be ready for me to call for an appointment by Wednesday/Thursday. Then I will just return my lease to another dealer. Taylor Chevy has really disappointed me. If I could rate no stars, I would! While Alysia tries to wave off responsibility of my experience, I am VERY CLEAR on what I was told and by whom. I take EXCELLENT notes. Also, while trying to wave off my review, no one has followed up with me to try to assist. However, GM Finance heard my story, apologized for the experience and set up my lease return WITHOUT HAVING ME WAIVE MY RIGHT. I will be returning the lease to another dealer that said, "SURE! This is by far the trashiest car dealership I have ever been to in my life. Pure crooks, even down to the flyers they send through the mail. Sure enough I'm stupid for even trying, but the disrespect of peoples time they have is off the charts. The office stinks like mildew and old chicken wings, the staff are about as goofy as the Grinch character they have in the corner, fitting for how the business is ran. I learned a valuable lesson today, as well, go across the street to The Ford dealership or even Harley Davidson for a vehicle of some sort, never will I walk in Taylor Chevrolet again and waste minutes of my life I'll never get back. Lets start when I purchase the 2019 Blazer, i was told by the sales rep I couldn't add a remote starter I had to go to an outside vendor after going to Best Buy they explain to me that it must be done at the Dealer when I went to the dealer i had to wait a week to schedule my appointment, i was not impressed with the service so I gave the sales rep the worst possible score while my wife was getting the remote done the Sales rep (Moe) confronted my wife and questioned the low score and stated that my wife ruin his bonus. Also showed my wife the screen of the low score. 3 months after we purchase the car(new lease vehicle) the car broke down did not start, possible electric connection or starter and after 17 days we escalated our complaint with the general manager because we have not heard from the dealer (Jennifer) and they came back and said it was a maxi fuse it took 17 days to tell us that it was a maxi fuse, incredible we call the general manager and we were directed to Tracy not the General Manager and stated that a fuse should not take 17 days to fix, now the 18th day Jennifer says they need to fix the fly wheel as well which has zero to do with starting a car. They loan us an equinox this vehicle sucks it slips in the snow is horrible we asked them to loan us a blazer as this is what I purchased and they decline our request. We will not be with a vehicle for another 2 weeks meaning we will be in total for 5 weeks without the vehicle we originally purchase. My wife asked how come we couldn't get them to exchange the blazer they (Moe) stated we can into a new lease for an additional $8000. My wife was in shocked what she heard and Moe continue to say to her he couldn't do anything for her and she was always complaining (nice professional comment Moe). Even though I live quite a bit away you cannot beat the service as well as the 3 free oil changes you get with the purchase of your car. I leased a 2018 Equinox from here the other day. I had called here to see if they could come close to a deal Matick Chevy had going. I didn't want to drive all the way up there to Matick. I talked to a woman on the phone for a bit and it felt like she was giving me the run around. So I said let's not waste anymore of our time,you don't have what I want so have a nice day goodbye. About a half hour later I got a call from her sales manager, he asked what the problem was, I told him my story. He said let me see if I can come up with a deal I'll call back in five minutes. And he did and the deal sounded good. He said Come on up and I'll have one of my best sales people take care of you. So that evening I did. I hope this isn't what he considers one of his best. All started good. We chose a color and got things rolling. My problem with him was he kept leaving us at his desk with no idea what was going on. We would see him walking around talking to other salesman or totally out of site. The sales manager stop by at one point and said was that price the same, this was about an hour into the ordeal we said we don't know he hasn't told us what it would be yet. The manager couldn't believe it and started calling for him. Thankfully it was the same. They had to bring our car from a lot over by the airport he said so he sent someone to get it. It was nice. We were to take delivery the next morning. They called and said they needed more time to prep it because they brought the wrong one over the night before. Seems like a very strangely run place. Not much communication. The next day as my wife was taking delivery the woman I had talked to called to follow up and see what I wanted to do. Jody Smith is the only reason I gave this place a 3 Star. He gave me a price in five minutes. And it was right when I came down to lease it. Customer service is poor and professionalism is lacking from service manager. Brought my 2016 Chevy Equinox in for a standard oil change, 27 point inspection, tires rotated. Got my vehicle back and was told it was completely fine ready for the road. 3 hours later I arrive at my destination. When I go to leave my engine suddenly won't turn over. No check engine light, no codes, no warning, no nothing... suddenly vehicle is inoperable. I call my mechanic to meet me and he says the dipstick is registering no oil. It's coming out bone dry. My mechanic suggests my oil change was not performed properly and adding oil is needed. So I call this dealership and let them know what's going on. I eventually end up talking to service manager Mark. He says I have to have a GM certified service department evaluate the vehicle and if there has been an error on their part they will take responsibility; however, somehow During the conversation we get "disconnected." Mark has my phone number. Does not call back. I call back and the operator says she can't transfer, takes down my number, and says she'll have him call me. NO CALL BACK OF COURSE. Took the car to the nearest GM certified service department. (Another Chevrolet) for inspection/diagnostic/evaluation of why my vehicle won't start. They mention my vehicle is 1 quart over on oil. Funny how my mechanic added 5 quarts of oil to my vehicle the same day as my oil change and now it's only registering ONE quart over. Yeah, sounds like Taylor Chevrolet did everything by the book, not! The Chevrolet that had my vehicle said they called Taylor Chevrolet and they have "washed their hands" of my vehicle. Finally get there and talk to a woman in the service lane who was nice and courteous so I'm thinking the visit may actually go smoothly. Talk to mike Thompson and he's super rude and basically tells us to leave because he's too busy and doesn't have a loaner car for us. I would definitely be understanding if he didn't have a car available but there was no need to be rude and condescending to my wife and I especially after what has already been a trying day. We bought our truck from Taylor Chevrolet. We got a aftermarket warranty when I bought it. So I bring the truck to get 5 problems repaired that was my first trip to the service department. Then ya we give free rentals but you have to wait almost a week to get a rental. That's the second trip to the service department So i get the call saying our truck is finished. This is the third trip to the service department. Well it's not repaired correctly and still has the two noises I complained about in the very beginning. Then I get a call telling me I have to bring back the rental becuase they sold the truck and giving me a different rental truck. That is my forth trip to the service department and not having my own truck repaired correctly. It's very inconvenient for me to drive 15 miles each way to do all of this . Everytime I come up there I'm wasting my own valuable personal time driving back and forth and waiting everytime I come up there. Not very happy with Taylor Chevrolet. When I pick my truck up hopefully it's fixed correctly. I hope they do something for me when I pick my truck up for wasting all my valuable time as in dropping my deductible or free oil changes. The service adviser Jen is a great person in there, not really happy with the mechanic acting like he dont hear the noise on the test drive we went on at first.. When they repaired the door latch they left three bolts loose and broke a tab off a piece of plastic I had a huge rattle but didnt want them to repair the mistake. So I removed the door skin. Found 3 loose bolts and now I have to order a new plastic trim that's missing a mounting tab on it becuase the mechanic broke it. They would not repair my 4x4 noise that was coming from the transfer case. I replaced the transfer case and the noise is gone and has no noises. Had bushing noise also that didnt get repaired so I replaced the rear bushings in the rear leaf springs. Problem repaired at home. I had a belt noise they did not repair it. I took it to a different dealer they replaced the tensioner, idler pulley. The warranty company would not pay for a squeaky alternator so I replaced at home... Be careful of Taylor Chevrolet !!!! They dropped my front axle. Chipped the teeth I guess. They tried to get my warranty company to replace it but they said it was dropped so it wasn't going to be warranted, they did have to eat the cost of the axle, but tried to hide the problem from me and never told me. I only knew about it becuase I called my warranty company myself. When I picked up my truck it wasnt repaired right, when I picked it up they wanted to just get rid of us and the truck. They screwed up and I wasnt nice at all and had two state police cars parked around my truck when I picked up the truck and they was watching us when i picked up the truck. I took the truck to a different dealer and get a few things repaired. And took the truck home and finished the repairs that the warranty company would not pay for and repaired what Taylor Chevrolet did not repair correctly. I would not even think to take my truck back at all to Taylor Chevrolet at all ! I wouldn't even let them put air in my tire now.. I called them about getting it fixed. they said it was not covered, but it was a certified pre owned and I fought them on it but got nowher. they charged me $6000 for a new trans, insane. ok fine I took it on the chin and paid. now 1 year later the trans is going again. so I call them to schedule a appointment for them to fix it seeing I have a 3 year warranty on the trans and the work and they are telling me that I can bring it in and I told them I need a loaner seeing this is my only vehicle and can not afford $250 a week for a loaner. when they first did the work they gave me the run around about how they didn't have loaners because of the chip shortage bs, I had to have people drive me around then, and now they say they have to diagnose the problem to see what it is before they can give me a loaner and I said ok no problem because I know the trans is messed up. I asked how long will it take for them to diagnose the problem and they told me that they would have it for for 10 weeks, yes 10 weeks no typo here, till they can look at it. are you kidding me? so I don't have a truck or a loaner for 10 weeks till you can hook it up to the machine that takes 45 minutes to figure out it's messed up? yeah I'm mad and not at all making this up. I had 2 leases from them as well that had trans problems. the answer to my problems from them is that i can always sell it back to them and buy a new truck from them. are you fucking kidding me??? waiting to here back from the head person there today, this is not how shit gets done. go ahead and fuck around more with me because I already called my lawyer and if I get more side talk and run around a I'm getting fox 2 problem solvers up there and I will stand out front everyday with a sign so people know how they do business. this is a joke. even when they did the work I asked what happens if the trans needs to be reworked, will I have to wait again for it to be worked on? they told me no and that I will be at the front of the line. forgot to mention that when I had them replace the trans in the first place that they had my truck for over 3 fucking months. 3 months!! #thedarkages Taylor Chevrolet needs to realize nobody likes the 80's sleezy car salesman types. I've been looking at a fun little 2017 Camaro for the past few weeks. When I first contacted the dealership their sales guy, David told me it was "sports car season" & the perice would go up by $2000 in just a month. When asking why the price was so high on that one particular vehicle "vs" every other Camaro in the area, he said "we have the best looking Camaro in the area"....I guess he spends his weekends visiting other dealerships. He was all talk and no legit answers. Anyhow i guess by some miracle a week later the price drops online by $3000. So i make an appointment to go see it. Going to Test drive the vehicle was like walking back into the dark ages. This dealership has it all wrong. The used car sales guys sit in a dirty, dingy office. No receptionist, dirty carpet, you can't even make heads or tails of the place because the layout is just a mess of desks around a room. They stay seated when you enter, don't offer you a seat, a water, nothing. They dont go over the car with you, tell you anything about it, or show you any features. They seem to do as little as possible and your basically on your own. So David hands me the keys, I go drive around for 20 mins and come back. I get back 45 mins before the dealership closes and all he says is, "you didn't leave enough time to do financing". Even though he knows i have my own financing. I tell him I'm still looking at other cars and this one needs the price to come down a couple grand. He says no and goes on some rambling crap about looking up the price on some website...which it's 2018, I did that already and the markup on this one is too high. Especially when a brand new one is only 8 grand more. He starts grabbing his stuff and ushering us out of the building. This guy is only interested in selling to foolish buyers he can bullsh*t. He doesn't have the intelligence to sell a car legitimately with integrity. Basically this place has your stereotypical used car sales guys and doesnt give one bit about earning a customer's trust or business. The managment or owner obviously doesn't have any standards by which they hold their employees too nor do they give a darn about the professionalism or appearance of the place. All in all, they need to step their game up. There's so many good dealerships out there who genuinely try hard to make sure their customers are happy and make sure their sales guys are legit and professional. This dealership isn't one of them. This is now the second review I have written because after the first, I was contacted and asked to remove it and give them a second chance, well I did and shouldn't have! I received an email from this dealer stating that I was a preferred "GM customer" and that I could trade the keys to my current lease in early for keys to a brand new vehicle with no out of pocket cost and no increase in payment. Now of course, this is a scam, and it turned out to be, as I thought. I started dealing with them on Monday at 9am by noon I had the credit app filled out and then.... never heard a word. Called them, emailed them nothing. I have good credit so I knew that was not the problem so I say, "ok", "whatever" and just leave a note that I am unhappy on Facebook and a negative review. Well, nothing gets attention like that, so by Tuesday at 3:00 or so, I had heard from the sales manager, the internet coordinator and a salesperson all apologizing and offering me the world just to give them another try. The sales manager told me he would personally take care of me and of course, I haven't heard a word back from him after that even after I made him aware of the new issues that I had encountered. Haven't heard from him or the General Manager of the dealership. Anyway, I agreed, removed my review and then it got worse. The incompetent salesperson they assigned, was rude and unhelpful. She wanted me to lease one of their courtesy/demo vehicles which I didn't want. She was very annoyed when I would not do this. She quoted me a monthly payment of more than I am paying now and of course required a hefty some of money down. She pretty much told me to take it or leave it and the kicker is, she would not give me ONE detail about the vehicle she was quoting me after I asked several times. Ok, sure I'll just agree to lease a Silverado I know nothing about. I am sure no one would have a problem with that. Stay away people. My neighbor warned me and so did a bunch of other people as soon as I posted my issues on my personal Facebook page. Please note the comment left by them below is pure save face garbage. My husband scheduled an appointment with the service department 1 1/2 weeks prior to taking his truck in for service, due to 2 messages that keep coming up regarding the ABS and airbag. We took the truck in as scheduled, at 9am the morning of Tuesday, December 26, 2017 and as of Friday, January 5, 2018 we're told the techs have NOT even looked at the truck NOR can they tell us when they will be able to get to it! Now we understand that things might be delayed a bit due to the holiday but this is ridiculous!! The truck has been sitting at the dealership a total of 8 full working days and no one has even looked at it??!! While talking to our neighbor, we found out that he took his car (which is less than a year old) to Taylor Chevrolet because of an oil leak and he said they had his car for 4 days - and all they had to do was change a gasket. This is EXTREMELY poor customer service. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if the truck is going to sit there for 8 days without even being serviced?? Not to mention, our truck is always kept in our garage - and here we are 8 days later - its sitting outside in these frigid temperatures at Taylor Chevrolet still waiting to be serviced. Outrageous! We will NEVER do business with this dealership (service or sales) again! read more

If you need repairs on your vehicle, do not come here. They are incredibly unprofessional. So, I called Thursday to make an appointment for service on my vehicle for the upcoming Tuesday. I arrive, and they first try to completely disregard my appointment and ask me what's up with my vehicle. After several condescending questions by one of the employees about the problem with my car, implying that I'm a simpleton and should tell him what's wrong, I finally get to my service consultant. He's calm and courteous, and asks if I have an appointment. I give him my keys, sign some legal docs, and Uber outta there. So, 2 days later and I hear nothing from the shop. Concerned, I call my consultant and he tells me that he'll get right back to me with an update. 3 days later, now furious, I call my consultant again and ask him if he has an update on my vehicle. He once again tells me he will have an update after talking with the service technician. 45 minutes later he calls back and informs me that the technician for my car is sick and also busy and will not get to my car for another 2 days. Now once you realize that I called ahead for an appointment, and they failed to inform me of the tech situation at any juncture, I immediately told them I would pick my car up that afternoon. In the end, I didn't even get a diagnostic test to find out if what I think is wrong with the car, is actually right?! I definitely do not recommend this place for any type of vehicle maintenance that is not covered under warranty or superficial like an oil change. They take their sweet time, and it is clear that you are not priority. We're in Michigan where insurance is high, cars are expensive, and roads are poor. Don't waste your time with these guys. read more

After poor service my daughter Sommer was instructed to bring her Cruz back and receive a complimentary rental car while the service was done. She arrived after work with her 6 year old son and was told she could drive the Silverado. She has never driven a truck so was then told to wait until someone returns a vehicle. While waiting over an hour, I phoned 3 times to speak with someone about this situation and was not connected with anyone other than an operator and someone who told her to return at another time. This is there 2nd strike after trying to rectify a bad review by my daughter from the 1st time. I do Not recommend having any service done after supposedly trying to rectify a prior flop! read more

We were in the last week of our lease, and needed things to go smoothly. I found the new Equinox I wanted on their website and got a price by phone. I was nervous about not having a written quote, but when we arrived, both Carmen, our salesperson, and Jody, her manager, were exceptional. Posted a review on another site now I'll do it here also as I have received emails from Chevrolet corporate. It took 4 hours for me to buy a car there just a few days ago. The salesperson was nice enough but it took entirely way to long. The survey is on the way to me and it's not going to be pretty. I also never got the car washed or detailed, it still has tape and paper bits stuck on some windows. I figure I'll do it myself and save some time. As for the emails from Chevrolet, I now have a Service Request number and I will be following up. I have seen good reviews of this dealership and perhaps I just got the wrong salesperson but it still took to long. read more

Only upside was the extremely friendly courtesy vehicle driver. If you can, go to any other Chevrolet service department. Jennifer couldn't get my name right, paperwork straight, or give me a correct estimate so I wasn't surprised when today I picked up my vehicle and it wasn't fully repaired and now I'm stuck waiting. To make it worse, the total is higher than what I was told by a not insignificant amount. Go to a dealership with its own body shop that does quality repairs. This place is 2nd rate at best. Guess I learned my lesson. read more
