We have taken my son's Ford Edge there twice. First time it sat for two weeks and then they said they needed a special tech to look at it. Of course, he was on vacation. Went to pick up the car, arrived at 5:55pm to a place all locked up. Knocked on door to a staff that would not make eye contact or come to the door. Luckily someone from sales let us in. Took the car as not to have it just sit there. Finally got a call two weeks later to bring it in. Dropped off on Thursday night (8/27), called Joseph in Service on Wednesday and Thursday only to be told were next. Called again today only to not get an answer from Service or the GM. Assuming again that everyone leaves early and the word "service" means something else to them. So now it will sit another weekend. I would not suggest taking your vehicle to Bill Brown after our experience. read more

Went in test drove a ford f-150, told them I wanted it. Ask for an out the door price. Got quoted 47k from salesman. Confirmed that price multiple times through text. Went in and signed all the paperwork and got my plates the whole time listening to what a great deal I was getting. Got almost home and salesman calls and says he made a 10k mistake and I had to bring truck back or 10k or they would come take it. In the meantime they locked me out of my email receipts and cancelled my plates. Had to bring them 10k to keep my truck. I don't know why they require you to have an appointment. I created an appointment for Tuesday at 5 o'clock and arrived at 4:30. They took me in right away. (That's a plus) they didn't finish with an oil change and tire rotate for an hour and 40 minutes AFTER THE APPOINTMENT ARRIVAL TIME they did not finish until 6:40 Why did it take so long!! It seemed they didn't even start on my vehicle until 5:45!! I was watching from the door because I was hoping he was almost done and I saw him starting to remove the tires for the rotate at that time. Why did they start 45 min after my appointed time!! Why do you even have appointments when you don't plan on honoring other people's time!! Then the service person gave me attitude when I showed concern for how long this was taking. I understand he may have had an issue closing the hood but that was the last 10 minutes as I was watching from the door. Now I have to resort to using YELP to give feedback because for the first time in over 5 years that I have been going to your establishment I did not get a link to provide feedback?!? I have a continual issue with my Ford Focus, which Bill Brown Ford has already claimed to have fixed once. Since they didn't actually fix this issue, I had to go through the trouble of making time for another appointment. After calling in yesterday and being made to feel like an inconvenience, I was finally able to schedule an appointment for 7am today. To my surprise, there was an enormous line at when I arrived at 7am and it turns out an appointment time means nothing at all. I went inside the service area to ask to change my appointment and had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the same person I talked to on the phone yesterday. I asked to change my appointment and she said they wouldn't have another time open until next week, wjich is obviously untrue. I said I can make any time work because I need my car fixed. She replied "Well if you don't want to wait in line, you're going to have a hard time". I completely understand a short wait, but as you can see by the attached picture, having an appointment means absolutely nothing. Making the appointment itself was already a chore due to this woman's lack of ability to speak to customers properly, but I was willing to put that aside and hope for the best today. If you have a Ford Focus (my apologies) take it anywhere else other than Bill Brown Ford for service as they just must not care about customers. I will now spend the rest of my day off finding any other dealership in the area that can and will take care of my issue. read more

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD! UPDATE- picked up the car at closing and the headlights now aren't working! When I dropped it off my lights were working and when I went to drive home with no power steering there were also no lights on the car! I had to hold the brights on so I could even get the vehicle home safely. Coincidence? I think not -the car was still needing to be taken down from the service bay when I got there to pick it up! My car had a known defect with the steering and my son almost got in a car accident when the power steering went out on him while driving! The car only has 61k miles on it. I brought it to Bill Brown Service where I was told I'd have to pay just under 2K to fix something that would have been covered if it would have happened within 10 years. A couple years earlier. But since the car wasn't driven enough in those 10 years- the issue never happened - till now- still Ford's Manufacturing Issue- doesn't go away after 10 years. The Customer Service Manager Jason Ellsworth said he'd give me 10% off . So I'd only have to pay 1800 vs 2k for a known issue. Was told if this car had more history there he'd go lower. Since the car had been taken to Blackwell prior - they offered to do at least 20% off. I asked Jason if he'd match that so we wouldn't have to drive the car to the other dealer since there is no power steering and very hard to drive the car and he said no so sadly for another $193 ish dollars he rather have me drive an unsafe vehicle and take it to another dealership who's willing to give me at least 20% off. Go to Blackwell ! They understand customer service! Apparently Bill Brown is more concerned with the bottom line than CUSTOMER SAFETY! read more

Joe Hersey the manager just said to me "we have no time for you, take it someplace else". This shop was refusing to give me a quoted price for the work and I was trying to understand why. They were very unhelpful and gave me the run around every time I asked questions. I would avoid this company, bad business. I asked for them to show me what work needed to be done and they wouldn't. They said they found 5 dents other than the hood but wouldn't show me. Wouldn't show me any of the paper work or notes from their PDR guy. They just wanted me to give them my car so they could bill what ever they wanted to insurance. Update, took my car to third place and they could only find the hood and 1 dent on the fender. Got frequents text on how my car was and when it was to have a technician to look at it. Person just kept telling me how no tech was available to look at it . The Quick Lane/Fast Lane has become a joke here. Dropped my vehicle off this morning, I was asked if I had an appointment and I said no isn't this Quick Lane? I told her I would drop it off, she took my info and entered it in the computer while taking my keys. I thought everything was okay as I was dropping it off for a few hours. A second employee who then rudely came up and said if you don't have an appointment you'll have to leave it over night. This is Quick Lane. Used to be 30 minutes or less. Now it's Quick Lane with a two day wait for an oil change. Therefore, if you want the works package make sure you drop your vehicle off in the Quick Lane department and expect it back in two days. read more

I have tried twice to take my 2018 F-150 that I purchased from Bill Brown to the dealership for service covered under the extended warranty that they also sold me. The first time they said they couldn't look at my truck for 3-6 MONTHS. The second time I took it in to be evaluated, made an appointment for the service to be performed and when dropping off the vehicle was told they would look at it in 5-7 days! I'm not sure how many people can go for a week without their vehicle but I know I can't. I was not offered a loaner car which wouldn't have been much use since I rely on my truck for recreational activities. I'm not sure who is running that service department but service is the farthest thing from their minds. (I called another dealer in the area and have an appointment to FIX the issue in one week. Now THAT is service. I know where I'll be going for my next truck.) read more

First and last time I will go there. They had Stan deal with us and right from the start it seemed like he was discouraging us from leasing a truck. Just a negative attitude altogether. We found a truck that was available, and looked it over, then he worked up the numbers. We told him we needed to go home and talk it over and he said he would hold the truck for 24 hours. We called him twice that evening to ask some questions. He did not call us back the 2nd time. In the morning we decided to go ahead with the purchase. We left a message for him to get the ball rolling, but all we got back was a text from Stan, telling us the truck had been sold and he did not realize it when he showed it to us. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. My recent experience with Bill Brown Ford was terrible. I was attempting to have a dealership buy out my lease contract and potentially acquire a new lease; Bill Brown Ford was recommended to me, so I visited. As well all know, the used car market is at an all time high right now. Who doesn't want the best bang for their buck? After offers from carmax, a few other dealerships, and carvana. I wasn't in a rush, and just wanted to shop around. Like I said previously, I was recommended to give Bill Brown a shot. My visit to the dealership lasted over six hours on a single day and the interaction between the employees and I for a week. This is what my time with Bill Brown Dealership consisted of the following: The first sales rep I spoke with was initially very kind and helpful to me. His name is Zac Archer. We spoke at length about the buyout process and all seemed to be going well. He agreed to match Carvana's offer and I was ready to make a deal. Suddenly, the flip switched when I stood firm on not wanting to make a lease agreement that day. Now hear me out, I was ready to make a deal to SELL the car that day. I still needed a car and had 100% intention of working with him to find me a new one. I was just unsure of what vehicle I wanted and I was still trying to figure out what vehicle to get. The rep became exceedingly rude and condescending towards me by shaking his head at me, repeatedly sighing and talking down to me. His pricing then changed and was no longer in agreement to what we discussed. The kicker came when he openly joked about me to his co-worker in front of me, with the joke implying that I was stupid and did not understand the process because I was a woman. He then spoke to the male I was with saying, "what does she not understand? Am I not making sense?" For whatever reason, I'm not sure why he thought my friend wouldn't inform me of him talking badly about me to, once again, my FRIEND, but my friend pulled me aside and told me he needed to take a walk because of how upset he was that Zac would talk badly about me to him. My friend told me we needed to leave immediately. This place doesn't deserve my business. I returned back and ended our conversation. I told him to have a good day and walked away. I went to the front desk and asked to speak to his supervisor. 2. After requesting to speak to his supervisor, Matt, the conversation I had with him, I was left in disbelief. I tried to broach the subject of the previous rep's conduct but was shut down. I commented that the rep's behavior was the reason I was not completing the sale today, but the supervisor replied with, "Well, ya win some and you lose some. We're the number one Ford dealer in Michigan and we aren't hurting for business. Losing you as a customer won't hurt me at all." Zac ended up messaging me asking to do a deal. I agreed to try again. We set up a time for the next day. Then I received this email several minutes later. "We are no longer interested in this deal." And that was it; no explanation, no phone call, nothing 3. After the shocking display of arrogance by the supervisor, I left and attempted to reach the general manager, David Tashman, several times, but was forwarded voicemail each time. 4. After one of my calls, I was connected to a person directly below Mr. Tashman who wanted me to discuss all that had happened with my visit. He informed me that the employees conduct was abhorrent. He asked if I would come back and try again with a new rep. He and I set up the buyout, as well as a new lease that for all intents and purposes was finalized between us. We set up a meeting the next day to complete the buyout process, as well as sign the new lease agreement. He told me he would call me back. Never did. Overall, my treatment at Bill Brown was shockingly poor; not only did they treat me poorly as a customer, but also as a human being. They are rude, arrogant and lack accountability for their actions, which drives their poor conduct. Bill Brown may just be the number one Ford dealer in Michigan, but they rank last in every quantitative statistic available. With behavior like what they displayed, their number one status will not last due to the nasty behavior. I do NOT recommend doing business with this dealership. I do recommend Taylor Ford. These people are QUALITY. Jerry Arrowood is the manager at Taylor Ford and he is what Bill Brown employees should strive to be like. Alexander Ash was my sales rep. They will take care of you. They will be patient with you. They'll make you comfortable in every aspect. read more

Joe and his staff are amazing to work with at Bill Brown Collision Center, they do very good body work and I would not bring my vehicles anywhere else. I've brought multiple mustangs to them over the years and they've treated my car like it was their own returning the car looking brand new and clean inside and out. I've been to other dealer body shops in downriver and this place is by far the best to work with. They are honest people and each time I've been there they have gone above and beyond to help me. Great customer service comes from great management that cares and they have treated me like I was more than just a customer and that level of service is hard to find these days. My wife and I have been getting our leases at Bill Brown for quite some time.Our last three cars and my wife's company fleet vehicles were leased/bought through Bill Brown. Normally we've not had any problems, but this time around my wife leased an F-150 Lariat edition. Virtually from day one the car had issues. Three days into the lease my wife's car started having transmission issues. It took them roughly a week to finish it and give it back to us but they couldn't tell us what was wrong with it. Now here we are, 6 months later, and her car has a complete gear shift malfunction. Now we're being told we can't even get a loaner car, they don't know when they'll have the part in to fix her car, they expect us to still pay the lease unless the repair goes over 45 days, and we must pay for a rental car ourselves and won't get reimbursed back anything but $60 a day after the repair is completed (Per Joe, the service advisor) Keep in mind both my wife and myself last three cars have been leased through Bill Brown and my wife's personal business buys all their fleet vehicles from Bill Brown. You would think this would mean a little bit more in customer service and loyalty. My wife is especially upset because the service advisor who's working on the case for my wife's car is rude, does not give her feedback about developments with the car, and just kind of blows her off because they have more important customers. I do believe this might be our last time leasing with Bill Brown if this is how Ford treats their customers in general. We might have to just start going back to driving KIA cars. read more

The "Can't Do" Dept. is certainly hard at work at Bill Brown Ford (BBF). We went in to look at a 2017 used vehicle. It had a few minor issues, but nothing major. I had a number in my head that I didn't want to go over, and made an offer, and even a secondary offer that was reasonable and acceptable. The salesman allegedly went to see the 'wizard behind the curtain' upstairs (that process is SO old, they should be embarrassed they still use it) and came back with (another embarrassing) counter offer. Ummmmm, $200 off instead? No thank you! And to make matters more embarrassing for them, he didn't even attempt to direct me to another vehicle - he just let us walk out the door - and right down the street to Ralph Thayer! I got no positive response nor did I get anyone to help me out. First guy argued with me and didn't want me to lease a vehicle. Said it was a bad idea. And just to buy. Worst experience ever! I walk in and a short older man with AirPods in asked if I had an appointment. I told him no and he started looking around like he wasn't going to be able to help me which I found very off putting. Then he says he'll talk with me briefly since he had a second. When I sat down I told him what I was looking for and he gathered some information he needed. When he typed a name he said " oh it looks like you're in somebody else's name" I told him I'd never been inside that dealership and just talked with somebody briefly over the phone.he then acted like he needed to pass me off to somebody else since this persons name was on my file. I simply asked why it mattered and if we could get back to talking about the vehicles available to which he replied " that's just how we do things". Then when we started talking vehicles he said that Ford doesn't buy vehicles although two other ford dealerships told me they would be happy to buy mine. I simply got up and left. I saw more workers on their cell phones and hanging around joking than any of them working on cars, that just sat there untouched. Scheduled an appointment to have a recall fixed and an oil change. Arrived the afternoon before the appointment to drop my vehicle off because that's when my ride was available. I showed up at Quick Lane because that's the only place that I could park and the only place indicating service. The manager Chris said I was in the wrong place and then asked if I had purchased my car there. I told him no and he started to get an attitude. He said to go to service "back there" and pointed behind him. I left and went to the other building. Given Chris's poor attitude and poor customer service I asked to speak to a manager to explain what has occurred and to explain that no one notified me where to take the vehicle and that it's hard to find anything at this dealership. The first thing he does is say "well if you had purchased your car here we would when explained everything." I asked if buying my car at another dealer was an issue and if he still wanted my business. He stated he did and I explained to him that I didn't want heads to roll nor did I want any gratuity as I was just wanting to let him know what had occurred and see about making sure I didn't waste my time again. I told him I wanted to get my car taken care of by Bill Brown but that given how I was treated and the constant issue of not leasing my car at Bill Brown, I would probably not return. Shawn the customer service manager then gets upset and states "well if that's the case you should probably just leave now. We don't want to service your vehicle!" After telling him that was an asshole move I left and called the general manager. The general manager called me back and explained that Chris at Quick Lane messed up and that never should of happened. He offered me a free oil change but I again told him how I wasn't looking for a freebie and that I feel the fact I didn't lease my car at Bill Brown was an issue to them and I thought they were a Ford dealer and should be fixing recalls. He stated "well we are an independent business" and "we choose who to do business with." I'm glad to see the manager finally tried to make things right but this after he argues with me and tries to deflect things on me. If there wasn't an issue of where I leases the vehicle WHY DID 3 MANAGERS BRING IT UP??? I wonder if Ford shares the same response to their customers when they try to fix a mandated recall? Offering someone an oil change, which costs the dealership pennies in the scheme of things, doesn't replace treating customers so they want to return and do business there. My wife and I have had multiple oil changes and some minor issue at the body shop but apparently that doesn't warrant Bill Brown to want our business. My issue was super minor but think about my experience when you are deciding to spend your money. Lots of other Ford dealers and service departments in Metro Detroit will gladly take my money and yours! read more

We have been long time Bill Brown Ford customers -- TOO LONG (like 30+ years)... it has gotten to a point that they see an easy sale and do nothing to facilitate it. My brother works at Ford and seems to do all of the leg work. Dave has literally screwed up more deals and doesn't seem to care, AT ALL! Our family does all the work, finding cars they want from other dealerships - Dave just can't see past his nose and parking lot. Most recently with my 80yo mother - it's all about the sale and commission. Even my other family members have started to go elsewhere. A dealership should be the 'Frontline Face of Ford' - Bill Brown Ford has turned many of us off and we refuse to even buy any Ford product! Customer brand loyalty is one thing - but their loyalty to customers is completely different... it's all about the bottom line, not a satisfied customer. read more
