I'm a cookie lover through and through -- and Taylor Chip is an absolute gem! I've been telling everyone I know about this place because they just get it right. The cookies are always warm, soft, and gooey -- it's like they were just pulled from the oven, no matter what time you walk in. My favorite is the Chocolate Chip Biscuit. They're huge, but I never want to share. Worth every penny, especially since they use quality, wholesome ingredients you can actually feel good about. The vibe inside is so cozy and cute, and I love the little touches -- like how they stock travel-size oat milk in the fridge. Super convenient. Almost all of these reviews are for their shipping but we actually visited this location and it's adorable! And the COOKIES?! Do you seem them?! Amazing. We were told this location opened up in March but it looks like they just moved in. Barely any signage and the inside is pretty empty. But the cookies themselves were very inviting and the staff was so friendly! It thought it would smell more like fresh baked cookies so I was a little bummed it didn't but the cookie flavors were INSANE! Anything from S'mores, PB Fudge, PB&J, Fruity Pebbles, Salted Caramel Pretzel and of course the classics like Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin and more. They were all very good but definitely better if you warm them up a bit at home! My family mentioned the toppings didn't look very appetizing but once you tasted it, it was great! Definitely need to add more spice to the shop but can't wait to visit again on our next trip to Lancaster. read more

When I was recently visiting my daughter and her family, I had a box of 12 (assorted) cookies delivered to her house for us to share. Like some other Yelpers, I had the same circumstances presented to me... cookies arrived broken, some of the fillings had oozed out onto the wrappers, the cookies with frosting, the frosting had entirely evaporated into the cookie. While the cookies arrived in a box, they were not held in place. They were just laying there smashed together, and while I'm quite sure the box got bounced around in transit, because the cookies were not secured in any fashion, the cookies also got bounced around... and thus, broken. I saw in others' reviews that they tried to deal with Taylor Chip about this, but I did not. I wasn't happy with what I first viewed, but I figured that as long as we could still scrape together any filling, or bite into any broken pieces, we could just move on. Unfortunately, things did not improve from there. First of all, let me add that PRIOR to the box of cookies getting shipped, I was hit with a follow-up email from the company that the ONE flavor of cookie that I was most hoping to try, they were out of them. They weren't out of them when I placed the order, but supposedly, the very next day after placing the order, they ran out of the FILLING to the cookie I wanted, and they stated, they had no idea when the filling would return. Frankly, that sounds very strange to me because if you run out of something, you make more.... but they clearly order a pre-made batch from somewhere else. They, themselves, do not conjure up this filling. Whatever. They gave me the choice of waiting for an unknown amount of time... or choosing a different cookie and continuing with the order. I sadly ordered a different cookie because I wanted the order shipped while I was staying with my daughter. Okay, so this was my first disappointment. The cookies arriving broken was the second, and now for the third and final blow. I can state with sweeping generalities that the cookies I tasted (only 5 of the 12)... were all way too sweet, so that I could only take a bite or two of a cookie. The cookies were also all way too soft... as if they had been underbaked, and it's my opinion that the overly soft texture helped cause the breakage... along with not packing with more attention to holding each cookie in place. The third blow was that for all their fancy cookie flavor and combinations of ingredients, I couldn't really taste any of the specific ingredients because they were so cloyingly sweet. I saw peanut butter and jelly, granted... oozing out of the cookie, and while we tried to scrape it back onto a cookie piece, it just didn't matter. We just tasted cookie dough..... and the cookie dough was the same for each cookie. For the cinnamon bun and carrot cake cookies, they should have had icing on it, but when I saw the cookies, it had evaporated or melted off..... not sure which, but there was clearly NO icing on top of these. The ONLY cookie that had a chance at winning me over was the PB Explosion, but again, it was still way too sweet. I at least tasted the peanut butter and chocolate. The salted caramel pretzel cookie offered STALE pieces of pretzel, and I couldn't see nor taste any appreciable caramel drizzle, such as the picture of the cookie showed on their website. As for the remaining cookie flavors, I didn't bother. Nothing had impressed me with the 5 that I had tasted, and they were just too sweet. My daughter and son-in-law tried a few more but said the same... too sweet, underbaked and couldn't really tell what they were eating. We ended up throwing out most of the cookies. Such a huge waste of A LOT of money for nothing great. I have NO idea about these rave reviews on Yelp. Maybe they were all or mostly in-person purchases. Maybe those are better, but I'm sure they'd still be way too sweet for my liking. Anyway, I won't be ordering from this company again. read more

I had an assorted box of cookies delivered to me. They arrived quickly and in good condition. I tried the gf/vegan chocolate chip cookie and it wasn't good at all. There was absolutely no flavor and the texture was gritty. My kids and husband tried the cinnamon bun, cookies n cream , and lava cake cookie and said they were awesome with lots of flavor. The cookies all arrived broken and melted or incredibly stale tasting, and I was told by their customer service that broken cookies are FedEx's fault vs. their fault due to poor packaging. And if your cookies arrive broken and stale tasting, you'll have to wait for them to submit a claim with FedEx in hopes you'll get a rebate? None of the cookies we tried had any distinguishable flavor and none were labeled.. they all tasted relatively the same, which was similar to cheap sugar and stale chocolate. If someone comments that the cookies aren't good, they respond with "lots of people love our cookies". This is a weird, poorly run company with a very mediocre product. On the plus side, I ordered on a Tuesday and had my cookies by Friday afternoon (west coast). The cookies were big, the packaging was decent with plenty of bubble wrap, and nothing was broken. They completely met my expectation of shiping and delivery. I had some friends over and we sampled a number of the cookies, and none of them were bad. Our favorites were the peanut butter, snickerdoodle, walnut chocolate chunk, and the "Brookie." The "smores" sounds awesome, but we found it cloyingly sweet. Our least favorites were the sugar (very dense) and both the peanut butter fudge and double chocolate brownie were a bit dry/chalky. I was hoping for a blast of lemon in the lemon lavendar, but it just wasn't there. Overall, this should be a 4 - 4.5 star joint. Why only 3 stars? Because at almost $75 for a dozen (shipped), they just don't stand up to the $6.25/cookie price. I can get cookies at any local bakery that are fresher and quite honestly, have better taste and texture. I ordered these cookies for the first time because it was half off with "View Your Deal." I couldn't believe how expensive they were, so I thought this was my one chance to try them. (Even at half price, they're a lot!) I also live less than an hour away, so I thought they'd come relatively fresh. They were shipped through the USPS, and I watched tracking in dismay as they were first shipped to another state and then sat for nearly 5 days, losing all chance at them being fresh. Despite this, I'm giving 2 stars because most are still edible when microwaved--though some are rock hard. For the extravagant price, I expected more... bigger cookies, better tasting, and faster shipping. They should know better than to use the USPS for fresh baked goods. So, I guess they're ok if you can buy them right from the store and are fine paying $6 a cookie, but I would not recommend having them shipped unless they change their shipping method or you're willing to pay even more to make it priority shipping. read more

We stopped here last Friday after seeing all their photos on Facebook. We were in town for the weekend so we got a dozen to try the different flavors. I happily paid the $42.50 and was so eager to try them because they looked so good and that's where it ended. The flavor combinations sounded great and the cookies are huge but each flavor lacked something. They were dense, dry and had so much sugar. Also as the young lady was filling our box she broke the Brooke cookie into pieces and put the big part in the center of the box and the broken pieces in the corner instead of replacing it with another. I gotta say I'm torn by my experience at the Hershey Taylor Chip Cookies. I've spent a great deal of my life exploring the foodie travel destinations in the U.S. I've had my fair share of sweets and to be honest two places have surprised me that boasts great products. First there was Gideon's Bakehouse at Disney Springs. Total waste of calories, cash, and my time waiting in line. I then travel to Hershey to try these wonderful looking cookies that my wife is going crazy over on Facebook. Here's the thing, paying over $4 for a cookie is one thing if it's a mind blowing masterpiece. Sadly, this isn't the case. Yes they look wonderful on Facebook videos and in the display case. But, they taste more like an over abundance of sugar crammed between some chocolate chips and butter. I purchased a six pack of mixed to get a variety of flavor profiles. I had to have the S'mores, chocolate peanut butter, stuffed peanut butter, and the essential chocolate chip, my wife picked out two more. We purchased these early Saturday morning at the Hershey Fresh Market building. I tried the S'mores first, along with my coffee I had high hopes for my breakfast cookie. This thing was so sweet, with a hard marshmallow center, I could barely finish half of it. I started to pick around the chips and marshmallow so I could get a taste of the cookie dough itself. All I could taste was a gritty graham cracker and sugar consistency that was recognizably contributing to the excessive sweetness. I finished half of my coffee and decided to dive into the stuffed chocolate peanut butter. This cookie had a somewhat decent brownie like texture and taste to the dough. Unfortunately, when I took a bigger bite the cheap generic flavor of canned peanut butter was so overwhelming. It brought back memories of the metal can peanut butter from my childhood. Those cans that were silver with black writing, you waited in line to get from the back of a government food truck. The ones with s thick layer of oil just laying on top and you couldn't stir it in. Yes, I'm a JIF fan I admit it, but I do prefer fresh roasted peanuts ground into peanut butter. With this particular cookie I found that I enjoyed it best with a big bite of dough and I tiny bit of peanut butter. This resulted in pretty much half a cookie being left uneaten, two cookies in and both Taylor cookies half eaten. I decided to save the rest for later, I then had a double chocolate cookie with my wife. She loved it and I must say that it was better than the chocolate peanut butter stuffed one. So here's the straw that broke my back, I woke Sunday morning, grabbed a coffee, then the box of cookies. As I grabbed onto the chocolate chip cookie I noticed the chips on top were already discolored and worse yet the cookie was as hard as a hockey puck. I bite into it and was totally disappointed in how stale one day could make it taste. Overall, I will never again pay over $4 per cookie to a hyped up Facebook advertising company. My wife agrees that these cookies hold no comparison to homemade cookies, let alone a few mom and pop shops locally owned. These places like Crumbl, Mrs. Fields, Gideon's, and Taylor are not worth the hype. I'll stick to what I know best, grandma's recipes. read more

Not Impressed!!! Ordered on the 3rd. Didn't get them until the 19th. Delivery guy left them out where the dogs got them. They ate half the cookies. Contacted them and their response was they would file a claim. I just wanted them replaced or refunded. Then when I tried them holy buckets! Excellent cookies. I appreciate the quality ingredients they use. Not crazy sweet, they are just right. The instructions on how to warm them up given the size should be 6 minutes instead of 3-5 minutes. We tried that with the ones we had left tonight and that was the right amount of time in my opinion. Don't know what the other angry reviews are about. Think it might be a mixture of some crazy consumers who expect way too much and maybe some growing pains as a business. I recently ordered from Taylor Chip for my Wife's birthday after seeing that my Wife was following them on Instagram. I thought it would be a fun gift to try and something different. I ordered them on the Monday before her Birthday and after shipping on Tuesday it only took one day to arrive a few days before her birthday. I went with the half dozen option in order to sample different cookies that they offer. Out of the six we picked the Brookie, S'more, and double Chocolate we're our favorites. When you get them I would recommend storing them in the fridge since they are about half a pound each and it took us some days to go through them. Once we put them in the oven for a few minutes tho they were perfect. I would highly recommend ordering from Taylor Chip and I'm sure we will again in the future. read more

Visited this location with my GF and was very underwhelmed unfortunately. We ordered online and were under the impression that the cookies were baked to order; hence us ordering 15mins out since we wanted to ensure they were fresh. Upon arriving, we quickly realized they were anything but. The cookies were hard as a brick. Pushing my thumb down on top didn't even make an indent. We're giving it three stars because the customer service was nice, and the cookie's flavors were actually pretty good once warmed up at home. The cookies were pretty good, but not worth $5 a cookie. I was disappointed by the s'mores cookie. The ad on Facebook showed them filled with cream or marshmallow which is why I ordered 3. They only had 1-2 mini marshmallows on top and nothing in the center. read more

I saw Taylor chip on Instagram and being a cookie connoisseur I wanted to try the cookies consider another 6 ounce cookies and have various flavors. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement! These are by far the absolute worst cookies that I have ever had. I have had cookie shipped from several of the most famous bakeries around the country and I have received all of them without any issue. The shipping, customer service, and quality of cookie and product that Taylor chip is putting out is by far subpar. Especially considering the price point that they're asking. You would expect that these cookies would be appropriately labeled package and some sort of a tin or sustainable packaging and shipped without damage that's far from the case! The cookies come in some sort of plastic that it's not even like a cellophane it's some sort of cheap plastic wrap and in the plastic wrap are the cookie which any ingredients like a peanut butter and jelly or the pretzel cookie it comes covered in the topping from the cookie which is smeared across the plastic...very unattractive to the eye! I ordered a dozen cookies that cost nearly $70 and when I receive them 10 out of a dozen cookies were damaged broken crumbs broken half and that was just a beginning of the issue. All the cookies have a very odd granular sugar texture to them on the inside as if though the sugar did not melt or cook in the bake. I suspect that this Baker or not so much of a baker, does not cream their sugar when they blend there a cookie dough or batter. This is the only thing that could explain why there's actual sugar in every bite of the cookie and I'm not talking sugar cookies. Chocolate chip, peanut butter cookie, oatmeal every single one of them is just sugar in each bite... absolutely disgusting. The cookies are also slightly under done which is fine considering that they actually tell you to put them in the oven for a few minutes but even when you do all that does is dry the cookie out further making it for more crumbly as opposed to chewy. I'm not sure if the cookies that they post on their website are actually their cookies as what I received here were flat non-raised cookies that were again broken, under done, and full of granulated sugar! When I contacted them via Instagram I was given a bunch of excuses and disclaimers and then I was told that I would have customer service reach out back to me and they never did. They also deleted my honest comments on IG which is very dishonest and shady! I ordered these as a gift for a business client and I can't even give it to them. I should've went with a bottle of wine! Live in learn do yourself a favor save yourself the money and don't order these cookies they're just gross! read more
