We can't thank Tayler and Daniel enough for their guidance, training, and support with our reactive dog, Maple. We rescued Maple in 2022, and quickly noticed she had a handful of triggers that we were unsure how to address appropriately. We turned to books, Youtube videos, and our vet, but nothing gave us or Maple the confidence to overcome and work through her triggers. I worked with Tayler and my Golden Retriever Bodhi. Bodhi is a very special dog, he was self-taught to alert his original owner's daughter of health concerns and protect her against Autistic outbursts. However, Bodhi turned his protection into aggression, attacking a small dog who also lived in the house and lunging and growling at people. The owner ended up rehoming him due to the fear of being liable for an accident. I contacted Tayler when I saw him and asked her to work with him. She saved him from certain euthanasia from going to the pound. She worked with the owner to build a lesson plan and had him for two months in her board and train program. Tayler delivered me a completely different dog. Bodhi will always have his quirks however, he lives in a much more stable of and environment. I have a cat he's befriended and I have an in-home business where he now enjoys greeting my clients. Tayler focused on identifying his triggers and teaching him proper reactions as well as teaching me. Bodhi learned advanced obedience training to allow us to continue at home without fear of him hurting others. If it wasn't for Tayler and TaylerMade training we wouldn't have our best friend. Tayler and Daniel are truly amazing! You can tell that they genuinely love dogs and want the best for them. We got our 6 mo golden puppy Summer from Tayler's 2021 litter. Tayler puts a lot of effort into her litters to make sure they go to their new homes confident and well socialized. We have since used Tayler's services to board and train our puppy while we went on vacation. We asked her to work on stays, listening and walking better in public, stop barking at dogs on walks and dropping things on command (tough list for a 5.5 mo puppy, I know!). During pickup, Tayler spent 2 hours going over everything Summer learned in the two weeks. We are so amazed at the progress, especially in a crowded setting! She ignored other people, never barked at other dogs even when they barked at her, she stayed in place until released amid all the distractions and dropped things on command. Safe to say that we are happy with the results! They are also very thoughtfully sending us a write up of everything so we can continue to reinforce her training at home. I've known tayler for just over 5 months now and in that time she's been training my dog Riley and I. As a person who has lived with dogs most of my life I thought I had all the tools and skills I needed to be a good dog owner. I learned rather quickly trying to train a puppy for the first time that it isn't as easy as I thought. Riley was pretty well behaved but there were a few things that I wanted to correct. Trying to do that on my own was requires alot of patience and it was wearing thin and I became frustrated at my lack of success. Tayler was there for me the whole way. With a new baby on the way my husband and I decided we wanted to teach our dog some manners and sharpen his skills. TaylerMade Training was recommended by several people on the local Facebook page for SYV so we gave them a call. The consultation was great, Tayler was very informative and took plenty of time to answer any questions I had. Our first 4 training sessions have been focused on obedience, commands, correction and Daniel has been our Trainer. I like that they offer changing locations for our sessions to expose our dog to new surroundings to help him deal with distractions. Daniel has given a lot of good advice and has been very patient. Their after lesson follow-up with a recap and homework for the upcoming week is great, they include diagrams and videos for reference. If you put in the work, you will see a difference. Tayler is amazing! My 1 year old Golden, Poppy, lived with Tayler and her 3 Goldens for 2 weeks of board and train. Our ultimate goal was to train her as a service dog. Tayler updated us every day and even did video lessons so I was being educated while Poppy was. Poppy was so well behaved when I picked her up. She was the same crazy puppy off leash but had learned appropriate manners at door ways, on a leash, at feeding time. She was wonderful in public too. I just flew from Santa Barbara to Portland with Poppy in the cabin. She made us very proud on her first in-cabin flight. Poppy and I plan to continue our training with Tayler as often as possible. (It is an hour drive for us to Lompoc.) We both learn something new every time we meet. Tayler senses what we need and how we learn together. I got two Rottweiler puppies and last thing I wanted was two crazy Rottweilers running around Lompoc. So I wanted to get them into training as early as I could. I did the 5 lesson in studio training for both of them. And TaylerMade is very adaptive to your needs. One of the dogs is really chill so he got moved into the Good Citizen class with other dogs, while the other got the individual attention he needed. The studio location may look "sketchy" but it's is not bad as it seems. I worked with Daniel and how he doesn't have his own dog training show is shocking to me. I would come in, tell him the issues I was having, and he'd show me how to overcome those issues. Walking my dog went from, taking 20 minutes to get 30 feet from the house, to going on hikes through the woods. I would 100 percent recommend this training to anyone reading this and wanting to get your dog into training. read more

Daniel provided my dog, Chip, and I with the tools to correct reactivity to others dogs, leash manners, and environmental distractions. We completed the hybrid package including five sessions. Two sessions took place in their studio and the remaining three took place at Beattie Park in Lompoc. By the fifth session, Chip's behaviors had improved tremendously. He is now more aware of our expectations of him and able to self-correct often. Daniel provided consistent and thorough education behind the purpose of each training technique. As the owner, I was informed of how important it is to be consistent and clear with my expectations of Chip. Daniel also provided me with corrections for myself, which have helped me become more aware of my own behaviors. I was told about TaylerMade by a friend of mine who said how great they were...I have to tell you, she was not wrong. We got a new puppy after our last dog died and I forgot how much work puppies are...we were kind of spoiled after our last dog. We did a package of in home lessons that Daniel and Taylor both tag teamed. They are/were amazing in essentially training ME (haha). They met us at the park, in our home, and at my place of work for various pieces of the training. They are accommodating to our needs, professional, friendly, and above all GREAT TRAINERS. I highly recommend them. Our dog at 7 months has an irrational fear of small children and yesterday was the first day (after the training) where she walked up to kids and didn't show any fear. Besides being an awesome trainer, Taylormade Training store has a variety of good stuff for our four legged kids. Healthy snacks like lamb sausages, turkey sausages and lots of other tasty pet snacks (no, I haven't tried them yet:) ) and healthy foods, both canned and dried. They also carry some really cool games for dogs like puzzles with hidden snacks where your pet has to spin or slide to unlock a treat. Really cool folks and really cool store. They also have stuff for other pets -cats, canary's, and more - but I'm a dog fan, and they are now my dog Cisco's favorite toy store. I started the month subscription in early December. I have done two full training sessions with Tayler, and have been nothing short of impressed. Not only is she great with the dogs, she is a fantastic person to work with as well. She took my timid and shy Australian Cattle Dog who was terrified of the treadmill, and two short sessions later, he was confidently walking/jogging on it. As far as the pet supply portion of the store, it is awesome. Offering a wide variety of mentally stimulating dog toys, puzzles, and treats. The kind of stuff you can't find at your average pet store. I couldn't recommend this store and trainer enough. In January we celebrated our goldens first birthday. Moxie is our third family golden. My husband and I have reached retirement age and really thought hard about the needs another Golden requires. Tayler is an amazing dog trainer. Her own dogs she's trained as service animals. They're very responsive to her call. She raised our puppy for the first 8 weeks of his life. He came to us completely crate trained and not once whined at night. Rarely had an accident in our home after we brought him home. Since then, she's worked with us on playing fetch (returning the ball), puppy guarding, teaching my son how to stop the puppy biting, and proper beach play. Tayler has worked with me and my puppy since the day I got him. He is 7 months old now and I get so many compliments on how well trained he is for a 7 month old puppy. Two of the big things we focused on were his demand barking and resource guarding. After a couple sessions and some practice exercises that Tayler recommenced, I no longer have a problem with either of those issues.
