We went in to the Tavern to watch the Bills game and were pleasantly surprised to find that the Tavern offers brunch on Sundays. Jackie was our server, and she was terrific. The ambiance was classic tavern style, with several TVs throughout, making it a great spot to watch the games. We started with the fried deviled eggs, which were surprisingly good--a unique spinach twist on the classic deviled egg. I would definitely order them again. We then ordered the bagel charcuterie board, and it was delicious, featuring a great variety of fruit, nuts, and cream cheeses. Our waitress told us about another special (special braised beef taco) we tried and it was devoured. I saw a pizza go by our table and wished we had room to try one ! So irritated I ordered off DoorDash and spent $40 on lamb chops, mashed potatoes a salad and red velvet cheesecake rolls. The lamb chops were overcooked, mashed potatoes tasted so gross. I can't even understand how they can mess that up. And I didn't touch the salad because I was pissed by that point. My wife got the cheesecake rolls and they weren't the best but a 6/10. We have eaten there multiple times and there food was good, however on 3 separate occasions we noticed roaches which I brought to there attention each time. The 3rd time was our last time and I told them I was turning them in. they don't seem to take it seriously! That building has a serious roach problem. read more

Can't be good at everything. I figured they couldn't mess up a burger... Boy was I wrong! Not being very busy when I went in, I was surprised at the length of time it took for the burger. Until I had my first bite I finally realized why. Bland as bland could be the only thing I could taste was the ketchup not to mention it was a dry crumbled mess decent size burger decent looking burger, but looks can be deceiving. The french fries had a decent seasoning but they were burnt crispy. Some of them were cold. It was pretty random. I ate about 20% of my fries. This is a one & Done kind of a place never again. I really wanted to give this place a better score, but... This is the sort of vibe and definitely food that belongs in a bowling alley. If I had been bowling, and the kids were running around having a ball, it would be great. It's mediocre bar food at best. It sounds amazing on paper. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the cheeseburger egg rolls, but there was a whole lot of oil and minimum flavor. So disappointed. PROS: Fried Cheese Wedges, Tator tots and Pimento Cheese Mac and Cheese. Our server was very sweet. CONS: Everything else we tried, and then learning that it was half price pizza night as we were leaving. One more quirk: the cigarette smoke from outside flooded the restaurant every time the door opened. I'm a Gen X'er so it doesn't bother me (Smoking or Non-Smoking was the first thing we were asked dining out as kids/young adults), but I had read prior reviews that mentioned it and thought I would add that it has not improved. I tried this place when it first opened and they had a great cook he knew what he was doing alot of the customers knew if he was working their food was going to be perfect tall white guy with guages. But im positive he is gone. If i could give zero stars I would. The food is trash for the price now. Ive been in the food industry and Fastfood restaurant have better quality food than this place. If you're going to charge what you do for the food you got . get better quality. Im willing to bet money on all this food comes from GFS. What this restaurant owner is doing is sad for the industry. Hes trying to push low quality food for a huge profit. Thats called greed and there is nothing worse for a restaurant than a greedy owner.
