Saturday the Fourteenth of February after Six O'clock to be exact. I came in with a family member looking for something but what we found was a bad attitude and really bad customer service. I'm not one to write one star reviews but this is one I can't let go. The employee or should I say the girl running the shop looked really unhappy when we walked in and that we just ruined her night. She did get off her chair to go through the motions of helping us but sat back down looking miserable. I did try to joke with her but she wasn't having it. We couldn't find what we were looking for and we were leaving and that's when she became helpful. Yeah, because we were leaving, not cool. So to the manager or supervisor, if you think I'm making this up? Look at the cameras inside the shop. Zoom in on her demeanor and her body language. Again I'm not one for giving one star reviews but as you know when you mess with a family member and you're there to witness it? There's no way you can let it go. I like the location in Claremont because of how friendly and helpful they are and I think this shop Needs that really bad. The man is an absolute beast of an artist, with over two decades of experience under his belt. He's tattooed high profile celebrities like rappers and football players so yes he is pricey, but it is worth every single penny. So much so that I flew all the way from Baltimore to go see him (no regrets at all). Roman specializes in realism and biomechanical pieces, so if you like either of those styles (or both), he's the guy you want. Aside from being an amazing tattoo artist, he is also a super chill guy and a caring father to his kids. When I got to the studio I was instantly treated like a star. His wife Kaitlyn is super lovely and one of the most amazing hosts ever. She helps Roman out while he works and makes sure his clients are comfortable and well fed. When I had my second session for my sleeve I was feeling very under the weather and she would make me hot tea and even fetched a blanket for me. These people really make you feel like home. On both my days there they fed me lunch/dinner and supplied snacks and beverages too. The aesthetics in the studio is a site to behold as well, especially if you like HR Giger art or anything biomechanical related. I look forward to finishing up my tattoo with Roman. If you want a sick realistic biomechanical piece, hit him up when you're around San Bernardino!

When I arrived, I immediately noticed how clean and beautifully maintained the studio was -- such a good first impression! Lacy at the front desk was so patient and sweet. She took her time going over pricing and all the jewelry options I was considering and never made me feel rushed. I was pretty nervous, and I had my husband and two boys with me -- the staff was so warm and welcoming to my kids, which meant so much to me. SYDNEY WAS AMAZING!!! She did my conch piercing and stretched one of my old industrial piercings, and I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was professional, thorough, calming, and so incredibly kind. I told her how nervous I was, and she made me feel completely at ease. She walked me through every single step, which helped so much. My conch piercing was super quick and way less painful than I expected -- maybe a 5/10 at the peak, and then it faded fast. Honestly, right after it felt like 0/10 pain! Stretching my old piercing was a little more "spicy" but still totally manageable. Sydney's technique was top tier. Pricing is slightly on the higher side, but absolutely worth it for the quality, professionalism, and overall experience. Make sure you ask all the questions before you make an appointment. The cost of the piercing is separate from the cost of the jewelry. Jose is great for piercings and jewelry changes! He's done a few of my piercings in the past and today helped change some jewelry for me. He even did my mom's septum and nostril piercings a few years back. Will also does some kick ass tattoos! I've gotten four custom pieces by him so far, and probably more to come. Cheryl did my brother's first tattoo, and it came out soooo cool too! I know there are some other amazing piercers and artists here as well, who I have yet to work with, but I've seen all their awesome work on Instagram, and can confidently say they are just as good.
