We keep passing this food truck in front of Carver's and finally stopped today. I think a good food…read moretrucks keeps their menu simple by offering variations of the same dishes and they've done a great job of this with 7 or 8 different burgers (including a chicken tender sandwich), fries three ways and 5 shake flavors. It was all great. I probably wouldn't stop again for the shake alone (although the presentation was fantastic), but it was a nice combo with the food. Get the rosemary parmesan fries, you won't be sorry! Fyi, the rice crispy treat shake has chocolate and caramel in and on it which I didn't expect.

This place a soooo close to a 5 star but has some improvements to make. First off the child's…read moreburger was in the same box as the garlic Parmesan fries. The fries are AMAZING! But are loaded with garlic and I was scared my child wouldn't eat her burger due to the garlic on it. She didn't like the garlic fries which would made me even more scared in anticipation. I cleaned most of the garlic off of the burger that I found and put it on a different plate before she noticed and thank god she was just fine. I'm sure other moms can understand my fear haha. Her kid burger was huge! If you have two kids you could probably cut it in half. I got the bourbon burger which was fantastic beside the yucky wilted lettuce on it. My boyfriend loved the Cajun, I like spicy food but it was far too spicy for my liking. The shake presentation was AMAZING! The toppings on the shakes made up for the lack of flavor. The beignet itself was delicious! The shake it's self lacked flavor. McDonald's vanilla has more flavor unfortunately. Same goes for the caramel waffle. The waffle on it was delectable, but the shake itself was average. Both shakes tasted like they were just vanilla with a hint of berry and caramel, maybe haha. None of us could tell. Also no fruity pebbles or trick we're mixed in with the berry beignet like states on their website. I wouldn't care about these minor issue if it weren't for the steep prices. $7 a shake, $10-$12 for a burger with no side, and $4 fries. I don't mind paying that but the item should be held to a high standard.

Staying in town for several days to visit the amazing KBS Miniatures Collection (the Louvre of dollhouse miniatures - highly recommend!), I had the opportunity to eat here a few times - it's only open until 3pm or I would have eaten here more! The food is highly creative in its mix of ingredients; so fresh and delicious! One lunch we were lucky enough to score the Mussels in Spicy Broth special. I love mussels and I can't remember the last time I had such plump, perfectly-cooked mussels. The best I've had in ages! I can also recommend the KY Classic Salad that comes with two slices of the crispiest fried green tomatoes I have ever had and a slice of Babz signature cornbread, cut into 1"x4"x1" pieces and refried so they are brown and crunchy on the outside, moist and delectable on the inside. Service is excellent as you would expect in a family-owned and run place. Barbara is the daughter of the locally-famous chef Babz, for whom the restaurant is named. Barbara has clearly inherited her mother's genius for cooking and hospitality. Barbara's husband Al is there too, making all the guests feel special, while doing a great job serving the fabulous food. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor tables catching a nice breeze from the Ohio river, three blocks away. In short, this is the best, and healthiest, place to eat in Maysville. Do come, y'all!
