This is an interesting one for me. First atmosphere: the place is beautiful. The view of Market St. is amazing too. I love the atmosphere. Second... the staff! So warm and inviting. So helpful in assisting us with our order and "what's good" for us first timers. Fantastic staff. Third... the food. I'm torn and let me be clear. The pimento cheese wontons were to die for. The corn bread amazing. Here's my complaint... the rice was super soggy and the pork had too strong of a pork taste for me. That sounds dumb, and I get it. But those two issues are all personal preference. I'm a heavy eater and unfortunately I couldn't even eat half of this when a normal day I'd clean the bowl. I do recommend giving this place a try. The location, the looks, the staff, and some of the food amazing! And maybe if I go back and try something else it would be amazing too. But, based off this meal, I'll stick to my guns on the 3 stars.

The owners are super friendly and make sure your visit is top notch making you feel at home and definitely wanting to come back. The food is phenomenal. Tried the pimento wontons at the recommendation of one of the owners and totally didn't regret it. Such a unique combination you wouldn't think would work but oh my goodness. The mushroom soup, um, can I say thanksgiving in a bowl! Not only was it reminiscent of turkey stuffing your mom stuffed the turkey with, you leave feeling totally full wanting to unbutton that top button of your pants just like after Thanksgiving dinner. I couldn't eat it all! Well, the wontons and homemade cornbread could have helped with that as well. If you leave hungry I'd be totally shocked! My husband had the bean soup and pimento cheese with bacon grilled sandwich and he brought half the sandwich home. You definitely get your moneys worth. Can't wait for the bakery to open to see what other surprises they have up their sleeves. Such an inviting atmosphere with so much more on the horizon. Wishing all the best and much success to this new business!

In Maysville for a short getaway and we stumbled on this amazing gem. Formerly a food truck now located in the old Masonic temple (the Cox building) on the corner of Market & 3rd. The interior was stunning with fresh flowers and a lot of natural light. We were immediately greeted and told to review the menu then come back to order. Deciding was difficult but we chose the pimento cheese wontons and we each got a bowl. Drink choices were water, tea, or a couple different canned sodas. After the first bite it was obvious you aren't there for the drinks. Fresh ingredients, thoughtfully combined, created an amazing experience. The tofu was sliced thin and fried crispy like southern catfish. Pepitas and apples gave a nice crunch. The Kalamata olives paired with sun dried tomato and smoked salmon in the other bowl had me going back for bite after bite. The homemade "ranch" dressing with the local fried squash was heavenly and not at all from a hidden valley. Fresh herbs were present throughout the meal. We saw a lot of carry out action, probably a homage to how epic their food truck must have been. Every person we interacted with was friendly and engaging and you could feel the absolute love for what they were doing. Next time we won't stumble across this - it's a destination location for an unforgettable dining experience.

If you've ever read "Babz Bites" column in The Ledger Independent (Maysville, KY) you may have experienced mouth-watering visions of the food and cuisine culture she describes for readers. Reading the recipes and stories she tells in no way prepares you for the delightful experience of eating in the charming courtyard of the home in historic downtown. Babz--Barbara, and her husband Allen are friendly and superbly hospitable. I had the chicken salad (her grandmother's recipe on toasted bread with a side of fresh pickled cucumbers. Dad enjoyed the bacon and fried green tomatoes with aioli on toast. I had promised myself to photograph our food before we ate it all. Alas, once we took a bite, there was no photo staging happening. If you've not checked out this back yard food truck yet, do it soon. I believe it will be your new favorite lunch destination. All ingredients and produce are locally sourced by the owners from area farms ensuring a fresh and original menu. I'm already anticipating my next stop for irresistible deliciousness. to Babz and Al.
