When the girl came from morning ritual She brought out my husbands, hot cappuccino but my mocha out iced and I immediately said I don't drink cold coffee and I did an order iced. Instead of being apologetic, and stating that she would change it, she just snatched the iced coffee and walked away. That was such a strange encounter. It was rude and I got no apology, nor did I get any explanation of what would happen next. I let my server know to ensure I was still going to get a coffee because I can't live without my coffee in the morning! When my Moca loved her honey, oat milk, coffee came I took a sip and was glad i didn't flip out and say "forget the coffee" (as I was already done with breakfast by the time in arrived) because the drink was delicious! That's great for inclusivity I just had another idea in my head of what the situation might be like. The space is rather small without much seating so for trivia we had to get there early to grab a seat. The coffee bar has a lot of tasty offerings but the book selection is pretty limited and not the broadest selection but I'm sure for those it's aimed at it excels. The space is very cute and there's lots of ample parking outside. This is a lovely addition to south Durham which is lacking in coffee shops and third spaces.

The crepe itself was tasty, and honestly I'd come back to try something off the sweets menu. But the fillings didn't land. The steak was a little chewy, and the mushrooms were cut too thick for a crepe -- they made it hard to cut cleanly and felt out of place. The add-ons I'll leave alone since those were my call. Overall the dish felt fairly run-of-the-mill against the hype. One note: this might be a dish better served by not allowing customizations, to keep it consistent to its intent. What threw me is that "steak and eggs" is the menu item, yet they also offer a carne asada crepe with no eggs ...so the only real difference is eggs placed on top, which doesn't change the crepe itself. Felt clear as mud after unboxing my meal. The latte I got was standard. Nothing wrong with it, nothing memorable. TL:DR this read as a solid fallback breakfast more than the must-try the reviews promised. The dogs I saw at the outside tables kept this closer to a 3.5 than falling on the other side of 3.

Wasn't sure if it was just that drink so I went back a couple days later and got a banana latte and was underwhelmed by the lack of espresso and syrup flavor. Drinks were watery across my 3 experiences. Service was great, baristas were nice and offered many recommendations.
