Five Daughters is a cute spot for a pretty good donut…read more This location is takeout only, but the center area of The Factory has some tables and chairs. The shop is cutesy with pink walls and a little social media worthy photo op on one of the walls. Lines are hit or miss. I either walk by and nobody is there or it's a long line. I can't say service at this location has ever been noteworthy. It's more just moving people through the line. They offer mini and regular sized donuts. I love, love, love that they offer mini donuts. I've never been a big fan of their donuts, but the winter donuts may have changed my mind. My favorites have been Sugar Cookie and Gingerbread Latte. I enjoyed the buttery, flaky layers. I also grabbed an iced sugar cookie and that was delicious. For drinks they offer coffees and a case with sparkling waters, juice, and canned coffee. Five Daughters is worth a try if you find yourself near a location.

This is my review for the bakery:…read more I really wanted to support this small bakery, but my experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. When I first visited, the owner, Steve Bledsoe, asked where we were from. After I said California, he told an employee to give us the "California discount." When the total came out to $40 per pie, I was shocked and asked why the price was so high. I was given a long explanation about premium ingredients and homemade quality. Feeling awkward and wanting to support a family-owned business, I went ahead and bought four pies. The next day, when I came back to pick them up, I noticed on the register that another customer had been charged $25 per pie. That was a big red flag. To double-check, I later called the shop as a new customer and was told pies are $25. When I asked to speak with the owner, his answers were inconsistent and unconvincing. I'm extremely disappointed. especially in a local business that relies on community trust. I left feeling like I was charged more simply because the owner thought he could get away with it. I will not be returning, and I hope the business reconsiders how it handles pricing and customer interactions. On top of the dishonesty. The pies were not great. I could have supported Costco and bought larger pies that tasted just as good, if not, better.

Great vibe, super service, and awesome baked goods and coffee. What more could you want.read more

I visited with my dad and my young daughter, and it ended up being the highlight of our morning. We ordered the quiche and bacon, and both were outstanding. The quiche was savory and delicious with the perfect texture, and the bacon was thick-cut and cooked to perfection. The coffee was excellent and paired beautifully with the meal. The atmosphere is charming and inviting -- rustic brick walls, cozy seating, and a buzzing local energy that feels authentic, not manufactured. It's an ideal spot for families, breakfast dates, or anyone who simply appreciates well-made food in a place with soul. Merridee's is the kind of place that earns its loyal fan base. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

The salad was fresh with clearly house made dressing and an abundance of super chilled toppings. The pastries are fresh and delicious and I don't really think we can go wrong. I got mine warmed which was totally the right decision. There are tons of places to sit at and its a seat yourself kind of thing after you order at the counter. Servers are friendly and food came out quick.

Don't forget the comfy japanese light cheese cake and delicious pie! Then running the astronomically good deal of a discounted cake cookie when purchased with a delicious boba drink that blows Crumbl right out of the water (and Crumbl is actually next door! Sorry Crumbl). Warm and soft on the inside, and a nice crunch on the outside. Ambiance: The restaurant itself is a little hole in the wall, and oh boy, does the revenue that is not spent on a bigger place go right back into the products. If you see the PF Changs next door, pull into the lot and make sure to say hi to Wilson! Have a lovely lunch, a delicious smoothie or boba, and grab yourself a fantastic quality little treat...for the road ;) Enjoy!

As luck would have it, we celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday with a towering custom cake from IveyCake. And let me tell you. Owner Ivey Childers makes a mean cake! They are literally works of art made by a creative decorator who demands perfection and uses the finest ingredients. The cake is very dense, what our family considers to be the ultimate texture for a cake. The frosting is super thick and very sweet. You can't eat too much at one time, which is probably a good thing. We had hoped for some sort of confirmation email to let us know the cake was finished. So we showed up on faith alone hoping the cake was ready for our celebration, and there it was! Whew! And not only will IveyCake create your beautiful custom cake, but they even sell cupcakes and small cakes on a daily basis in their adorable little shop. Go check them out!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had thumbprint cookies. I'm a huge fan of thumbprint cookies. There's something so nostalgic about them from when I was a child. What makes their thumbprint cookies the best is that they make them with caramel! Most bakeries don't sell thumbprint cookies and that ones that do, I've never seen them with caramel. These are little amazing nuggets of goodness! If their shortbread was a little more tender, it would probably be the #1 bakery item, I've ever had. The magic is in the caramel! It's so soft, gooey and perfectly sweet. It's the perfect pairing with the lightly sweetened shortbread. Since I had the cookies, I haven't stopped thinking about them. Came back into town for the day with my kids and I made sure this was our first stop! I will give you a heads up that the parking is a little funky, but nothing major. I'll be back soon!
