During our trip to Puerto Rico, this place for tapas and drinks is the best so far. My husband and I ordered several tapas, and all were delicious. The salad was nice and crisp. The Arancini was a treat! I loved the oil and basil. We followed that with the ravioli.. Let me tell you that coconut basil sauce is money! It's so addictive. I dipped the seta into it.. And we enjoyed the sautéed mushrooms and the lagosta en mantequilla. I didn't take a picture of the lobster because it took me two seconds to demolition. But it's definitely worth it. My favorite was the Don Pito. I'm a fan of a good martini espresso, but this is another level. If you enjoy bourbon and coffee, be prepared for a party in your mouth! We will be returning for dinner and dessert during our stay here. The chef deserves two thumbs up, and the service was definitely on point. I loved that our plates were not served all at once.. We were not overwhelmed, and that bartender was just shaking it the entire time we were there. 10/10 read more

Came in for anniversary dinner on a Thursday night. Service was a bit disjointed and the vibe was sterile but the food was some of the best we had in PR. The restaurant was mostly empty this night but then we couldn't get a return reservation because the weekend was fully booked, go figure. Crudo was super good, jalapeños were spicy and perfectly fitting for the dish. Burrata salad was fantastic and I wanted another serving, same with the beet and goat cheese tapa - we talked about how good it was for days after. Pulled pork sliders were dry. Pulpo was great. The desert trio was our cherry on top - great end to the meal! Decently good wine list, but the cocktails weren't a stand out for us. read more

We walked by this place and were immediately drawn in by the ambience and the menu posted outside. We were seated promptly even though the place was packed. Our server was really good... brought us some samples of the wines so we could decide on a bottle. We were excited about trying too many things on the menu so we opted to just share some tapas instead of going for the main entrees. The food itself was good but like many mention here the tapas portions were ridiculously small for the price. I saw some of the main dishes come out and those were more reasonably portioned. A little disappointed. Where should I begin The service is very very slow. I think, they might have only one grill or something because it took them forever to get the food. When I say forever, it was like, 45 min to an hour. also, they didn't bring all the food together for our party. They kept bringing plates one by one, same for other tables too. So, two of us got our plates first which took about 40 min and the rest three were watching them eat. This continued for about 15 min. Then the other two got their plates. We got the 5th plate nearly 25 min after the first plate came. Needless to say, all four folks had finished the meals when the 5th plate came. Also, they had undercooked one of the meals and we had to return and get a replacement which again took forever. Overall, the food was, let's say 3 to 4 stars. But with the crappy service and the time it took to get the food and also no planning on getting the food together, completely ruined the experience for us. Also to add, they under cooked one meal that we had to return. We were there nearly for 1 hour 45 minutes, with 5 of us, spent $180 (no alcohol) and I was soooo very disappointed. The drinks were okay. The first tapas with tuna was great. But the shrimp tapas tasted off and the shrimp disintegrated when I tried to get a bite. I didn't think it was safe to eat. This restaurant is phenomenal!!! Went there with a party of four and we each loved our dishes. I ordered the Pechuga De Pollo Rositzada (Airplane Chicken Breast and Carbonara pasta dish) also added shrimp for an extra charge and it was phenomenal! I really regret not taking a picture of it. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection, shrimp very fresh, the pasta was to die for. Both my parents tried it and they've travelled to Italy multiple times and said this might be the best pasta they've ever had. The service was great. Other dishes they got: brisket sliders (very good), filet mignon puff pastries (worst dish of the night), duck breast entree (my sister loved it), Fish filet catch of the day (very good), and a thanksgiving special butternut squash ravioli (mom and dad loved it). We ordered four different tapas; pulpo grilled to charry perfection w mashed potatoes and tapenade, setas sauteed mushrooms on toast, here I found the bread too soft and white bready would have preferred something a bit more toothsome. We had filete w foie gras which came on some shredded root veg thing that was sort of tough, the filet was cooked just right rare like we ordered it, I think there was too much meat to foie ratio. And lastly the duck tacos absolutely outstanding! They came w oniony jam, chevre and a taro? Taco shell, so good we had to order another round as they were smallish. The ambiance was pretty good, complaints about the stupid large extra tv in the back corner - why? Also needs a curtain or screen between mens toilet and restaurant area, and put cleaning piso mojado signs out of sight of dining area. Service was polite and attentive. Prices for food quality service level and ambiance seemed fair. They had a nice wine list that wasn't overpriced. The French pinot was wonderful with the filete foie plate. I hate to leave a bad review, and even hesitated to do so but I think it's important for business owners to understand the importance of taking care of clients to ensure they return. We recently visited this restaurant at around 8:30pm. We were a party of 7. The hostess informed us that the only large table available was about to leave and that once they did, that table would be ours. We were told to wait by the bar. The party at the table took longer than 20 minutes initially estimated. They finally got up 45 minutes later. The staff took a while to clean the table and when they finally did, a waitress escorted a group of 5 that had just walked in. When we complained to the hostess of the mix up, they confirmed that it was a mistake and asked the just seated party to leave (explaining the mix up). They refused (really classy of them!). Instead of doing something about it, the staff allowed them to stay and then told us we would have to wait longer for some other party near an empty table to leave so they could put them together to make a table for us. The service at the bar had been terrible while we waited, so this felt like insult to injury! My father got so mad he just left back to our hotel. We stayed simply out of fear that at 9:20pm no other restaurant would serve us. They finally sat us and then informed us we had to rush our order because the kitchen closed at 10pm. The food was ok, some dishes were better then others. When the bill came they did nothing to make up for their mess up and in the end we didn't even get an apology. As you can imagine, we will never go there again! Sadly, the experience was so jarring that everyone in our party has been repeating the story to all our local family and friends. Had they bothered to go above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of after this unpleasant experience things would have been different! I hate to mess with anyone's habichuelas, but that was just absolutely not right. read more

We (3) showed up without a reservation on a busy night during the dinner rush. The hostess was delightful and accommodating. She took our cell number and called us when a table became available, about 25 minutes later. That gave us just enough time to check out the ART WALK in the town. Local artists set up tables and sell hand made paintings, jewelry, etc. There was a jazz band playing in the restaurant which brought the ambiance to another level. It was as if I had stepped in and been immediately transported to a jazz club in the states. Taste has a great bar with a wonderful wine selection. They have local beer on tap and many options for mixed drinks. The menu is tapas, which I love because you can taste many plates. We ordered Atún, pulpo salteado, ceviche de dorado, albóndigas de Cordero, tres cerditos & trío local. Every dish was amazing! My favorite was the Tuna!!! The presentation and the attention to detail in every dish is something I had not seen in any other restaurant in Rincón. This restaurant is definitely above the rest. I hope I get to go back and I recommend the place to everyone who visits this small quaint town in the west coast of Puerto Rico. You will not be disappointed! read more
