I'm not from around here so I found this place to be hard to find. Go INSIDE the school and ask…read morearound. On the plus side, there are a number of eating venues in this building so if you want a salad and your bud wants a burger, you can both be happy. Salad or Bust specializes in it's namesake. There are eight or 10 options. Plus they have chili and a soup of the day. The hubs and I both had the Mediterranean, which was special because of the little dolmadakia on top and the tasty olives. Plenty of dressing for all those greens, too. The hubs liked his side of chili (which, like the salad, had a bit of satiating quinoa). I appreciated they had Perrier (instead of only boring flat water), and we enjoyed our meal on the sunny patio. I appreciated the quality, fresh ingredients and I was fine to pay a premium price for them but I didn't tip, even though Square gave me the opportunity, thank you very much, BEFORE I even tasted my salad. I placed my order at the counter, had to pick it up when it was ready and I bused my own table. If anyone earned a tip, it was me. Sorry, not sorry.

The menu was promising, but we might have just been there on an off day in terms of the actual…read morefinished product. The antipasto salad was missing the mozzarella balls, and both it and the taco salad had a scant amount of dressing provided and the lettuce/topping ratio was not great. Order at the counter and you'll get a text when it's ready for pickup. We did love the cool setting in Ivywild school. May try another option there instead next time.

Kinda disappointed. Unique spot and the drinks were good. However, the only food item we got were…read morethe Brussel sprouts and they were not good. Still had a good amount of inedible stem on them and were not fully cooked. We could barely eat them. Paid $45 for 2 drinks and 1 inedible appetizer. It was honestly a waste.

This time there were cocktails and a coherent artistic vision. They really commit to the theme, and it looks fantastic. For a moment, I forgot there was an entire normal city upstairs where people were renewing vehicle registrations. We made a reservation about an hour beforehand and got in without trouble. I believe it was a Wednesday afternoon, and it wasn't particularly packed. Plenty of room to enjoy the atmosphere without feeling like we were being processed through Wonderland. Started with the bread, which was perfectly crisp. Then the skirt steak appetizer, which had great flavor. Could've happily kept eating that, but we had other business to attend to. Specifically, gourmet mac and cheese. An unusual entrée choice for a themed date, perhaps, but apparently you can lead a grown man into a subterranean fantasy world and he'll still ask where they keep the noodles. It was excellent. My wife and I both wanted more afterward. The White Rabbit cocktail was excellent too. Toasted marshmallow on top. A tiny campfire snack hovering over my drink while I sit underground eating fancy macaroni. Whoever planned this afternoon understands my needs better than I do. Highly recommend for the entrance, the atmosphere, the food, and especially that cocktail. Walk downstairs. Let The Rabbit do it's little thing.

As soon as we walked in, the staff welcomed us, making us feel right at home. The staff really knew their stuff and suggested the French toast as a must-try, while my fiancé went with the turkey sandwich. When our food arrived, it looked amazing! The French toast was so fluffy and perfectly cooked I'd give it a solid 10/10, especially with the fresh fruit and maple syrup on top. My fiancé loved his turkey sandwich too; he couldn't stop raving about the freshness of the ingredients. Overall, our quick stop turned out to be a delightful experience and really set a positive vibe for the rest of our day!

Drinks are going to be drinking, Not that I've gotten that out of the way... I've always heard such great things about Bird Tree Cafe. And I hadn't gone until yesterday! Figured I'd go before the farmers market across the street in Acacia Park. I got the bookworm latte and it was so good. I was worried it would be too sweet (it was a little sweet), but the brown sugar cinnamon syrup they make really balanced it out. It was so good. It was creamy, dreamy, and the caramel was decadent. I didn't get any food--just the coffee unfortunately, but I do plan on coming back! $7.25 (I think) for a latte is a bit pricey, but the drink is really good. So if you're gonna spend a bit extra, go there for a coffee instead of Starbucks. Service was quick for a long line and the hanging plants and lights made for such a great vibe. I cannot wait to come back and try their breakfast and more lattes!
