This is a bit far from my home but when I get down in Powers, I love to eat at Bird Call. Food is always fresh and hot. Suggestion/ I can see many at those kiosk areas ordering and it can be confusing especially for older folks. I'd suggest there be some one or a sign saying "you can have an associate order your food if you'd like" and maybe the customer rings a bell to get an associate to order the customer's food. I wish this restaurant existed where I live in Nevada. The chicken was so juicy and the tots and fries were delicious sides. The restaurant was clean and aesthetic. I loved that they had Spongebob episodes on the TV and an arcade game table for the kiddos and the kiddos at heart. Ordering from the kiosk was easy, and I loved the minute countdown until our order was ready. Picking the order up in the cubby was convenient. The second one tasted like it but into someone's fridge leftover that hadn't been warmed up in months. It tasted like old beans, ham water and ketchup combined. My sis introduced me to the chain in North Texas, so imagine my delight when I saw on their website (which is where you should order from, btw) that they had a location just up the street from me in CO. I've admittedly never ordered in person or via the drive thru. Instead, I always order online for pickup, and 99% of the time, I've received a text that it's waiting for me in my numbered cubby by the time I arrive. I've also ordered alcoholic drinks, which are VERY strong and come with a fun sticker covering the top. The inside is modern, sleek, and welcoming. I especially love the bathroom decor. My family and I visited for the first time and overall we enjoyed the food. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, we did have an issue with the margarita. After ordering it, we were told it was on the way, but it never arrived. We eventually had to ask again and even stand up to follow up on it. When someone finally brought it out, we realized it was not a freshly made margarita but something from a tap. It did not taste like a real margarita at all. We each took one sip and left it untouched. We considered saying something, but the staff seemed very busy in the back and we couldn't clearly identify who the manager was. Rather than create a scene, we just left it and accepted the charge. I would recommend the food, and my husband's beer was perfectly fine. My lemonade was also good. But I would strongly suggest skipping the margaritas. Overall, good food and kind staff, but the margarita was disappointing. read more

Came here with my wife for lunch. The food was delicious. It is a bit pricy. You pay for everything separately. Sandwich, drinks, sides. 2 sandwiches tots, fries, and two drinks was almost $40. I downloaded the app and when I ordered in store the worker told me that the app and in-store account do not talk to each other. You get a $5 coupon when you sign up for the app, but you have to order through the app to redeem the coupon. Very clean restaurant. They do serve alcohol also. Your name is on 'screen' and how much time is left until your food will be ready. Nifty. Ness let us know they'd dropped me fresh hot tenders, so it'd be +2 minutes. Our food came, sandwich, tenders and an Asian salad. We didn't talk much, only because the food was so good!. We agreed that this level of food isn't 'fast-food', rivals quality of Panera or Mod. Food - Chicken Tenders: 5/5 I have no idea what they put in their chicken tenders but they've got me hooked. Every time I crave chicken, I think about the chicken tenders from Birdcall. Even though they are fried, the tenders are juicy, succulent and doesn't taste oily and the meat to fried breading ratio is fantastic. And don't get me started on the Birdcall sauce - their signature house-made sauce which complement and pairs really well with their tenders (I always try to get more than one because one is just never enough :( ). This place was great! I don't think I've ever been to a birdcall, and if I did, whichever location it was did not wow me apparently. But this location was great. The staff were all so friendly, the place was super clean and quiet inside. You order on these touch screens when you enter and it's pretty easy and painless of a process. They give you your beverages and then you wait for your order. You see it in real time up in a screen and then when it's ready you go pick it up at this window. The sides and drink were an outrageous 2.95 each, so I figured a combo was the way to go... they charge you full menu price for each element of the combo!!! Ok that's not entirely true- they gave me a generous $0.12 cents off the total of menu prices for ordering a combo. WHAT A DEAL!! /s As a fast food value proposition, this place is a hard pass. For less cost and higher value you can get MUCH better tasting food from other establishments, which won't be decorated with the cold, soulless feeling of a European business lobby. Ok rant over.. and to give them credit where it's due- the strawberry lemonade was some of the best I've had in a while. First, the inside is definitely giving a modern vibe, which initially was interesting. You order unassisted on a kiosk screen (well designed graphics/program and there are physical menus handy too). Once your order is placed, then walk over and see your name on the queue with a countdown. When your order is ready, you pick it up at the numbered cubby. Unfortunately, the inside looked like a toddler's play area that hadn't been cleaned. It was just kind of yuck. The floors were sticky in random spots and tables/chairs had crumbs. It was very unkept. We ordered a sandwich meal and Mediterranean salad. I really wasn't impressed. For the price, it didn't make the cut for me, taste-wise. I understand healthier choices like GF are more pricey so I don't fault them for pricing things accordingly in this economy. In fact, I was glad healthier options are offered. HOWEVER...I was quite sick after eating here (I had the salad). All in all, this was obviously a bad experience for me. read more

We really liked the sandwiches and strips here. We are Chick Fil A lovers and definitely think this gives Chick Fil A some competition in our eyes. You order your food from a screen at the counter and then you're placed in a queue, that you watch on a screen for your order to be complete. The screen tells you which number shelf your order is at. We had the Nashville hot (regular) and it was hot! I mean like the hot that I don't even enjoy because I can't taste the next few bites. I can't imagine how hot extra hot is! Have a lot of water close, unless your heat tolerance is up there. The grilled chicken caesar was good. I liked it, but wish the flavor had just a little more oomph. The Buffalo was the best, in my opinion. The flavor of the blue cheese slaw was so good on it. We tried the tater tots. They were just okay. The chicken strips were a good size and had really good flavor. We liked the birdbque sauce the best. We also tried the aioli. If you're a chick fil a fan, this chicken doesn't have as much breading. There may also be less meat. If you were to weigh the breasts, I bet that this would fall short but it didn't leave me hungry. We will definitely be back! read more

There's no question that this establishment prides themselves with great customer service. The lobby is well maintained and great for that afternoon lunch. Decor is definitely a plus and is inviting to the locals that haven't had a chance to step foot inside this wonderful place. The hassle free ordering allowing you to customize your order however you'd like without holding up a line works wonders. Upon arrival I was greeted by Andrew and was given in great detail what options I had available and what I can do to make the experience that much better. This place looked so unique, and I'm a sucker tor chicken strips! I was surprised with how dark the chicken was, but it was packed with flavor. It's definitely well seasoned. I also thought maybe it would be spicy due to the color, but it was not, thankfully. The tater tots were such a nice touch and great side to the chicken. They had a nice seasoning to them like truffle, it wasn't overpowering and tasted great. Their special birdcall sauce is amazing! I do wish you could get more without being charged extra. So I got a chance to visit Birdcall yesterday. I have to start that I know I m a tough customer and reviewer. 3 stars for me means I'm happy with the place and would not hesitate in going again. 4's are outstanding both in food and service, 5's are generally over the top. I say this because that scale tends to mean fast food type places are generally 3's if I'm satisfied. Birdcall started to be the exception. The place was kept very clean. The staff impressed me with the level of service they provided and I enjoyed the food. So the details. We walked in and found a table. You can order on line while in the restaurant and we started to do that, from the app I was not sure how to omit pickles so we bagged that and went up front where they have touchscreen systems. The server came around and guided us through the menu. Friendly and helpful, I was impressed with the customer focused attitude! I found myself thinking this may be the exception and be 4 stars. I got the Nashville chicken sandwich (supposed to be hot) the mango habanero marg. My wife chicken nuggets. Both with fries. The drinks are pre-made and bottled, but they serve it to you on ice in a glass. Again delivered in person with a great attitude (again I'm thinking 4 stars). Turns out it was not my fav drink and I'll try something else next time. But this is not Birdcall's problem. Just not a flavor I enjoyed. Your order status is up on a cool display giving a count down (a small nit, the signs at the table imply your food will be brought to you. But really you go up and grab it). Anyway, when your food is ready your part of the display changes and you go up and grab your bag. For me the chicken was great. Moist, flavorful and good heat. It is a fair amount hotter than chic-fil-a spicy chicken. Great for me. Plus they even have a "hotter" option. I will try that next and expect it to have a lot of fire. I'll also probably try the tater tots just because I like tots. My wife said the nuggets were fine, I think she may go for a sandwich next time. Anyway all was good we will go again. So with all that, .why 3 stars you ask? It was the last few minutes. Two of the staff were at a table having a meal (which is just fine). When the were done they bussed their table. The problem was, the garbage can was already about overflowing. They put their garbage on top of the pile and went back to the back. For me, a motivated/caring employee would not pile his stuff (actually there were 2 employees) and instead immediately address the overflowing garbage can. It probably was a "not my job" thing. So again I will absolutely go back to Birdcall, I considered 4 stars for it, but end of visit experience it why it went back to 3 stars. My recommendation is to go. I believe you will like the place, the service and the food. Last, if you got this far, you get 11 stars, one more than 10 because you know, it's one more than 10 (anyone that gets that gets a gold star too) read more
