This place is an amazing find in Montgomery! Delicious food, attentive servers, great wine! The chocolate almond torte is SOOOO good. I'm partial to the filet, but I've never had anything that wasn't exceptional. You can't have kids in the restaurant, but you can have them on the patio (our 4 year old devoured the charcuterie plate). We will be back again and again and again. read more

What a great find! Elegant but informal venue for what was probably one of the best brunches we have ever enjoyed! The attention to detail and flavors were amazing. We will definitely go again. FYI if you are an eggs benedict fan as I am I highly recommend the TASTE version. My husband and I decided to try Taste after reading several good reviews on other sites. I was a little apprehensive because it's a wine bar and I don't drink (very often). We went to celebrate Father's Day/Wedding Anniversary. We ordered the Summer Squash Flatbread (excellent), the Deconstructed Caprese Salad (not really my taste, but I'm sure some people love it), and the Pan-Seared Scallops (I LOVED it), and finally the Chocolate Espresso Lava Cake (really good). Our waitress was really friendly and answered all of our questions and even helped my husband select a beer. We definitely will go back. This is the second time we came here. The first time we decided to have brunch here at 3pm bc there website says it's only open at 3pm. It seemed very odd for a 3pm brunch but there are stranger things. We arrived and were informed brunch was not being served. To our dismay, we ordered our meal and although it was delicious it was not worth the price in the least and the portion size was not filling for the price either. We left hungry and disappointed. We gave it another shot with the right timing and were served out drinks promptly. The drinks were good. The food was lacking again and the portion size for the price was egregiously disproportionate. The swordfish was dry and was maybe a 6oz filet. My friends were disappointed with their meals as well: butternut squash eggs Benedict, bison burger was Ok, and the best value was the French toast. It took about half an hour to served our meals and it was not very busy at all. The server mentioned it was her first time serving brunch and that is a poor management decision. We will not be returning for brunch. It is only a good spot for after dinner drinks due to ambiance and decor. read more

Fantastic wine list and I'm so excited to have visited. We ended up there on a Sunday for brunch and it was quite good! Love the idea that they have a retail license, and can sell bottles! My roommate from college and I came home for the holidays and decided to enjoy some wine and food at Taste for the first time. It was absolutely delicious!!! We got the seafood dip, the fried oyster and wedge salads, split the filet and for dessert, the apple foster!!! Food was ice cold when we got it. I saw it sitting outside of the kitchen for 10 minutes before they served it to us, when I kindly asked the manger to heat it up for us she said "we don't have a microwave sorry". Well you might want to invest in one if you are going to serve cold food. Extremely disappointing, $70 down the drain, over priced and very poor service. read more

Food was delicious, atmosphere nice, service not so great. We were seated very quickly, however, once we asked our server to "give us a min" for our wine flight selection turned into a 20 min wait. It was a little irritating because she was helping tables around us and tables that came in after us but never acknowledged us until we told a gentleman working that we were ready to order. Taste is a wonderful experience. We were so glad to find them open on Monday mid-afternoon. We tried the pear salad and found it unique and very tasty with all the different textures and flavors. We also enjoyed the chicken pesto flatbread. The crust was crispy and the toppings were the right size to enjoy all the flavors in every bite. The lamb chops with butternut kale salad was amazing. The salad was warm with a great dressing. It was a nice portion of grilled lamb that was tender and juicy. We tried the chocolate truffle and it was fabulous. We really enjoyed our experience and look forward to returning. They also have an extensive wine and beer list. read more
