One of the first things I noticed was how quiet this complex is. The complex has 24 units which makes it feel like condos. There is plenty of street parking for guests and a private parking spot for the tenant. Some of the amenities include beautiful units, washers and dryers inside the complex, a jacuzzi and BBQ set. And, what I feel is most important, is how clean, Nori, the property manager has the complex and how fast they are to respond to any question or concern. The complex is located conveniently to anything you would need. There is a variety of restaurants, department stores and grocers walking distance to Ventura Blvd. Craving sushi, Mexican or Brazilian? You're covered. Need to go to Home Goods, TJ Max, Ross or the post office? How about a Gelsons, Vons or Ralphs? It's all right around the corner. My wife and I have decided to relocate because of our growing family, however, this complex was the perfect place to start our family. We can't think of one bad experience we had in our time at the Terrace Apartments.

It is a very working class community of young to middle aged adults. Nori is very nice and is a great property manager. This is a beautiful neighborhood and most of the neighbors are quiet and clean tenants but I don't like the tenant in the back corner lot. He's a prick and complains about my parking even though it's within the lines because the shit head has a giant truck and claims he can't get out of his car. I started parking closer to the wall then he complained that my muffler was burning his fence and that smoke was going into his house. So now they don't want me to back my car in so he doesn't bitch. That asshole aside and the apartment building next door being a bit of a slum I still love it here. I highly recommend it. I lowered my review from a 5 to a 4 on May 31, 2018. I was there for one year and two months. I left the place relatively the same as it was when I came in. The apartment was like 275 sq ft so when my cleaning bill cost me about 550 of my 1000 dollar deposit, I was very disappointed. The itemized billing was clearly over-billed. FYI, don't expect to see the whole sum of your deposit come back. I still recommend the place but one thing about that neighborhood at large is that it waxes and wanes with large contingencies of transients and undesirables. They often rummage through the trash at 4 AM and at times that woke me up.

With a spacious 2 bed/2 bath unit with vaulted ceilings, 5830 Reseda was our oasis in the (wonderful) chaos that Los Angeles provides. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day by the pool, a bit of exercise in the nicely furnished fitness center, or even playing some billiards with your neighbors... you won't be disappointed. The complex was recently repainted, which combined with the efforts the team has put into landscaping and lighting, has made for a comfortable and delightful place to call home. Rental rates are in-line with Los Angeles and it was always some comfort knowing that the complex was rent-controlled... so, no unexpected hiking of rates when lease renewal period came up. The only (small) complaint I can offer would be that it is located right on Reseda Blvd., so traffic noise is constant, but nothing that you can't get used to. After a couple weeks, we rarely noticed it anymore (save for the occasional siren from an emergency vehicle, but that's par for the course in LA.) Finally, something uncommon for LA, we actually became friendly with several of our neighbors, which certainly added to our experience living here. It was always nice coming home from work or a trip and saying hi to everyone walking to check the mail. Most places I've lived, it was far more common to just shuffle past one another with a head-nod, if anything; but here everyone was friendly and willing to engage in some conversation and provide a hand if you needed anything. If you end up living here, introduce yourself and you'll find that it really can provide a community feel... something we can all benefit from.

"Giving a five-star review was the most natural thing I've done in a while from start to finish…read more My experience with Amy Castillo, Property Manager at; 5830 Reseda, has been nothing short of tremendous. I have lived here at the apartment complex for several years now and never once had experienced an issue that was not "quickly" and "professionally" resolved. Even on Amy's days off, she makes herself available and goes over and above what she needs to, to make sure that all issues are addressed and immediately taken care of. This was a first for me, as I've lived in many high-end luxury apartments in the past, but never experienced personalized service like this. As for the apartment complex and its property surroundings, it's like a "sanctuary." Pristine gardens, always clean, and very safe. Amy turned the garden area into a bird sanctuary, tranquil, and serene. It's nice being able to wake-up in the morning hearing the sounds of birds chirping and seeing hummingbirds outside my living room window. This is a wonderful place to live!

I was really sad to leave this place. I also want to mention that I kept the apartment in great condition for the full two years, and I truly appreciate that they were fair and returned my full deposit. That is rare these days, especially in California, and it says a lot about the honesty and professionalism of the management. Overall, I had a very positive experience living here, and I would absolutely come back again. In fact, I hope to return in a year. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable home and a management team that genuinely cares.

The maintenance crew does excellent job and works hard to keep things nice and clean, despite some neighbors who leave their garbage wherever they want. They manage to keep the place spotless. The complex is new and is build very well. Also worth mentioning is that our unit is incredibly quiet. We don't hear any noises coming from the neighbors or outside. That's not a rounding error, that's straight-up false advertising. Management knowingly lies. Jennifer Wunderlich and Jacob have misled tenants about unit size and continue to double down when confronted instead of taking responsibility. It's deceptive, unethical, and frankly outrageous. If they're willing to lie this easily about something as fundamental as square footage, you have to wonder what else they're hiding. Do yourself a favor and stay far away -this is not just poor management, it's deliberate misrepresentation.

I have been a tenant here for 25 years, and throughout this time, I have consistently experienced…read moreunfair and biased treatment from management. Despite always paying our rent on time and being respectful, responsible tenants, our concerns and requests are routinely ignored. For example, we've repeatedly asked for our carpet to be replaced due to its poor condition. Management replaced only the living room carpet, and the job was done poorly. Additionally, a mold issue in our unit was never properly addressed--rather than resolving it, they simply painted over the affected area. Meanwhile, we've seen other tenants--some with a history of late rent payments--receive new flooring and other upgrades without issue. It's hard not to notice that these tenants are treated preferentially, raising serious concerns about fairness and possible discrimination. Many long-term tenants here share similar frustrations and feel that management is dismissive and unresponsive. As a result, a number of them have chosen to move out. It's also worth questioning the validity of the positive reviews posted online, as they don't reflect the reality we've experienced. Most recently, we were informed that our assigned parking space is being taken away and given to another tenant. Just another example of how we are treated. If it wasn't for rent control we would've left a long time ago.

My review should have some weight since I've been here so long and have seen changes. All the managers I've dealt with as well as maintenance were very good- an 8 out of 10. I can honestly say that Donnovan has been THE BEST manager, and Eric has been THE BEST maintenance man. I give them both an 11 out of a 10! Donnovan is very professional and friendly, prompt with his responses and addressing any issues, and really, really cares about the community. The tenant events that he holds (e.g. breakfast in the elevator lobby, building an Easter basket) is very much appreciated, and makes tenants feel like they're valued. Eric is also very professional and friendly, knowledgeable with fixing things, and is efficient. I can tell that when fixing things, he takes pride in his work and wants to do it right the first time. I really can't ask for a better manager and maintenance man, and I hope that both Donnovan and Eric are recognized for their work. Regarding Thomas B's review, I feel that Donnovan did his best to try to resolve the problem tenants. My parents are landlords- and I can say that evictions can take some time when dealing with problem tenants because of the process. The problem tenants are now gone, and I think this building is the best it's been in a long time with the type of tenants that are currently living here. Security does check on the building multiple times a day, and they too are doing a good job handling various issues in the building. It's not only security, but also the tenants that are doing a good job watching out for each other.

His dedication and professionalism made a big difference in our daily lives. While we've enjoyed other places we've lived, this last apartment felt the most like home.
