This is a beautiful neighborhood and most of the neighbors are quiet and clean tenants but I don't like the tenant in the back corner lot. He's a prick and complains about my parking even though it's within the lines because the shit head has a giant truck and claims he can't get out of his car. I started parking closer to the wall then he complained that my muffler was burning his fence and that smoke was going into his house. So now they don't want me to back my car in so he doesn't bitch. That asshole aside and the apartment building next door being a bit of a slum I still love it here. I highly recommend it. I lowered my review from a 5 to a 4 on May 31, 2018. I was there for one year and two months. I left the place relatively the same as it was when I came in. The apartment was like 275 sq ft so when my cleaning bill cost me about 550 of my 1000 dollar deposit, I was very disappointed. The itemized billing was clearly over-billed. FYI, don't expect to see the whole sum of your deposit come back. I still recommend the place but one thing about that neighborhood at large is that it waxes and wanes with large contingencies of transients and undesirables. They often rummage through the trash at 4 AM and at times that woke me up.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing day by the pool, a bit of exercise in the nicely furnished fitness center, or even playing some billiards with your neighbors... you won't be disappointed. The complex was recently repainted, which combined with the efforts the team has put into landscaping and lighting, has made for a comfortable and delightful place to call home. Rental rates are in-line with Los Angeles and it was always some comfort knowing that the complex was rent-controlled... so, no unexpected hiking of rates when lease renewal period came up. The only (small) complaint I can offer would be that it is located right on Reseda Blvd., so traffic noise is constant, but nothing that you can't get used to. After a couple weeks, we rarely noticed it anymore (save for the occasional siren from an emergency vehicle, but that's par for the course in LA.) Finally, something uncommon for LA, we actually became friendly with several of our neighbors, which certainly added to our experience living here. It was always nice coming home from work or a trip and saying hi to everyone walking to check the mail. Most places I've lived, it was far more common to just shuffle past one another with a head-nod, if anything; but here everyone was friendly and willing to engage in some conversation and provide a hand if you needed anything. Meanwhile, we've seen other tenants--some with a history of late rent payments--receive new flooring and other upgrades without issue. It's hard not to notice that these tenants are treated preferentially, raising serious concerns about fairness and possible discrimination. Many long-term tenants here share similar frustrations and feel that management is dismissive and unresponsive. As a result, a number of them have chosen to move out. It's also worth questioning the validity of the positive reviews posted online, as they don't reflect the reality we've experienced. Most recently, we were informed that our assigned parking space is being taken away and given to another tenant. Just another example of how we are treated. If it wasn't for rent control we would've left a long time ago.
