    the washing machines never work, been here 8 years, they went from coins, to app/phone, costing more than twice, and still just about every time I go, I am taking a chance I'm robbed money because it doesn't work, and who am I gonna call on weekends for 2$ maybe ? plus out-of-order paper all over the place with hundred of people in line, it's really bad, "THE WASH/DRY" stuff sucks here, they must re-do the maintain this and change company to get it maintained right instead of choosing the cheapest thing out there, the positive is they changed management, and the latest guy is cool, but the previous managers were horrible for years, hopefully the last guy stays.

    All type of cockroaches and disgusting insects you can imagine in the building hallways floor and walls at night time

    I'm not going to sit here and explain my horrific experience moving into this dump of a place. I will let the photos I took of what was in the apartment unit I was leasing for 6 days had and what the building hallways was filled with do the talking. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother wasting your time l, not even with the so called apartment manager who will sweet talk you into this filth. Definitely needs to be shut down by health inspectors. Enjoy the beautiful photos. Oh and PS to those kissing ass to the apartment management saying there isn't any roaches or bugs LMAO! The photos speak for themselves idiots. Smh.

Despite always paying our rent on time and being respectful, responsible tenants, our concerns and requests are routinely ignored. For example, we've repeatedly asked for our carpet to be replaced due to its poor condition. Management replaced only the living room carpet, and the job was done poorly. Additionally, a mold issue in our unit was never properly addressed--rather than resolving it, they simply painted over the affected area. Meanwhile, we've seen other tenants--some with a history of late rent payments--receive new flooring and other upgrades without issue. It's hard not to notice that these tenants are treated preferentially, raising serious concerns about fairness and possible discrimination. Many long-term tenants here share similar frustrations and feel that management is dismissive and unresponsive. As a result, a number of them have chosen to move out. It's also worth questioning the validity of the positive reviews posted online, as they don't reflect the reality we've experienced. Most recently, we were informed that our assigned parking space is being taken away and given to another tenant. Just another example of how we are treated. If it wasn't for rent control we would've left a long time ago.

    DO. NOT. LIVE. HERE…read more The worst. I lived here for 3 and a half years on the 3rd floor facing the main street. This was the LOUDEST experience I've ever had living somewhere. So much honking and sirens throughout the day and the lights from ambulances/fire trucks would fully illuminate my apartment. The first 1.5 years were great b/c Denise R. was the manager. She was always attentive, looked out for tenants, and ensured the complex was maintained. After her time ended the complex was full of domestic violence incidents (I regularly heard/saw my female neighbor being beat up by a boyfriend) and loud parties. The police were constantly somewhere in the complex. There were more accidents on the main street (Reseda Blvd) than I can count including head on collisions and t-bone collisions. There's so much gang activity, violence and tagging all around the community. From my balcony I literally saw a teen pull out a gun on the corner of Keswick & Reseda and shoot towards the Denny's at a moving vehicle. There are SO many shady characters in complex and neighborhood, tenants going through the trash cans, etc. One night around 2am an irate male tenant attempted to physically beat down the door of a woman whom he accused of parking in his parking spot and causing his car to get towed. He beat her car with his golf club and faced LITERALLY ZERO CONSEQUENCES from the office/management! Come to find out the next day, she was in her own parking spot and had nothing to do with it! It was terrifying and happened two units away from me. I know it's Northridge, but it was always so unsettling feeling just how much the building shakes. It was very unnerving during earthquakes! There were visible cracks in the wall seams of my unit that always reopened after maintenance would just come and patch them. The leasing office was always unresponsive, or very late to respond and just plain not helpful. You have to stay on them for simple requests. Security was ineffective if they even showed up at all. I once called about a loud party by my neighbor around 3am and literally caught the security making out with her when he showed up! Like you gotta be kidding me! The complex is just dirty period, the surrounding grounds are dirty. The pool is just not something you want to swim in anymore, it's just crumbling apart. The walls are beyond thin between units, you can hear neighbors conversations at all hours. Corporate is entirely unreachable. Adam has replied to an email maybe once or twice and then became completely unresponsive. Calling corporate doesn't ever connect you to a live person. There are unsafe dogs throughout the complex. My dog was viciously attacked by a German Shepherd and had to get stitches. No one from the leasing office staff showed for my pre-scheduled move out inspection, I had to call them, and the guy sounded like he had no idea despite on-going correspondence from me about my move out. This place is kept clean, the manager, Paola is helpful and knows how to do her job well. Any concerns get taken seriously. Everything gets addressed right away and with full transparency. So refreshing! Honestly and integrity are deal breakers in my book and that's what I get here. Thank you for the job you do each day to keep our living experience positive. You are appreciated!

    READ CAREFULLY BEFORE RENTING THIS PLACE!!!Another terrible experience with the manager and upper…read moremanagement regarding the extreme charges on the deposit check. It was fine to live at this premise but leaving the place was a huge headache. First of all, the management did not arrange any pre and post walk through with me as a tenant which is against the Ca law. I had to return the keys to the leasing office which is also the manager's home since no one had showed up for making the walk thru and explain the possible charges they may have. When I returned the keys the husband of the manager, he told me that his wife (manager) was not home so they will contact me to do the post walk thru which has never happened. In addition to not be able to get communicated by the manager to inform me the possible items they would excessively charge us, I was super shocked to receive the $1350 of charges for paint, bulb replacement, shampoo cleaning, etc... in the statement. When I brought the violation of tenant rights in terms of the official walk through and concerns for the extreme charges to the manager, the supervisor of the on-site manager Doron from the managing company Alon Global contacted me. I was hoping that we could get some resolution with him but it was completely an opposite experience. He was very unprofessional by saying that "What do you want?". When I told him you violated my rights with not doing walk thru he defended himself that they do not have to do it. When I told him by law you have to do it in person and failed on that he said it was not my fault. I explained to him that it is your manager's fault which would carry out to the upper management since you are in charge of the operation. He was saying that they charged me $700 for painting because there was a hole on the wall which was normal wear & tear. Also I had lived there long enough (3.5 years) where by law they can not charge the tenant for paint. Anyway, I just realized that we could not make any progress with him, since he was very argumentative and rude on the phone, I informed him that I will take a legal action on the small claim court. Again the long story short, the place looks good but the way how the management team handles operation is super unprofessional and not tenant/customer friendly. I was the tenant who paid all the rents on time but this is how we get treated. As an evidence you can see the deposit statement below and think twice before renting if you don't want to experience the same situation, stay away from this place as there are more complaints from former tenants in the comments here...

    The actual place is great but when you leave they are super unprofessional. It has been about 8…read moremonths since I left and I have yet to receive my deposit back. There have been a lot of miscommunications on their part, they told me only to pay for 8 days of July (since I left on July 8th) but they are forcing to pay for the full month. They never contacted me to settle this at all, instead, they sent me to collections over a total of $388 when they actually owe me almost $1000 from the deposit ($1650 - paint, carpet cleaning, etc). I am not one to owe anyone money, I have an 800+ credit score, I have a job, and I had paid every rent payment on time. I am now in a situation where if I pay, I admit fault for collections and it will go on my record or I get it resolved with Alon Global (the company that owns and manages Casitas). If I don't pay it could affect my credit score. Like I said before, the living situation was great, but the aftermath of living there and trying to get my deposit back has been a huge headache. I strongly recommend considering this place if you care at all about getting your deposit back and maintaining a good credit score. At this point, I am regretting living there. To management, the ones that won't call me directly, I will happily remove this review if you guys would show me a little more respect and give me a call. I've tried to call to speak with you many times and for some reason you won't give me a call back. Hopefully this gets your attention.

The Complex is beautiful and well kept. I have stayed here because the units are spacious and some include a washer and dryer. Our apartment has a fireplace and feels cozy during the rainy season. The pool and BBQ area are freshly renovated and the gym is clean. The location is in a prime area conveniently close to the local mall, Costco,Best Buy, Restaurants and coffee shops. The maintenance team and the office staff are prompt at resolving any issues in the unit and the building.
