I usually go to a nail salon in Olney, I had a lady there that did my nails to perfection each time but the last few times I went she f*cked up badly and I was so disappointed. So I decided to part ways and try out new nail salons in West Philly. One of my coworkers suggested Diamond Nails which is a few blocks from Tarina's. I tried it once and I liked it, but it was mad pricey. And the day I went they were closed. Luckily Tarina's came to the rescue. To be honest, this may be my new go-to spot. They're smaller inside but the prices are way more affordable and what I'm used to seeing and the nail techs are nice and attentive. I had Lin/Lynn do my nails and she was amazing. She made my nails just the way I like and painted them perfectly. Not one single flaw. Definitely gonna be my new go-to place! read more

Tarina's Nails - White acrylics on my real nails - Waxing Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

My manicure was not great. It lasted substantially less than most others because it very quickly started pulling up at the cuticles. That doesn't usually happen with SNS for me, and especially not within a week. It kept getting snagged in my hair because it was so pulled up. It's also cash or cash app only which is a pain. The ladies there were sweet though, but I wouldn't go back. read more

I used to live in this neighborhood & I happened to be in the area & needed a pedicure-so so stopped in! Walk-ins are welcome & the staff were knowledgeable and friendly! The staff presented my options & when they began the pedicure-they made me feel comfortable. My foot massage was so great and the pedicure was well done! I feel this nail salon is worth checking out! read more

Tarina's Nails - They did a good job - Waxing Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As a lady who takes pride in her nail game and manicures her nails on a biweekly basis, I am also very particular about the salon as well as the technicians. With this said, I am happy to report that randomly falling upon Tarina's Nails has been such a gift! I love that the salon is small and intimate and there's generally immediate availability with minimal wait times (I like to schedule appointments - really for everywhere I go lol - but an appointment is not even necessary!). The staff is really nice, especially Lynn & Miss Tina who do a stellar job on your nails while also engaging in conversation which shows their genuine interest in their customers - their doing more than just a job but rather providing an experience. Prices are reasonable - I got a pedi and SNS gel mani for $50. Payments are Cash Only and if you forget to pull cash before arrival there is a Sunoco gas station directly across the street with an ATM. So happy I found this place. It definitely has become part of my regular nail rotation! read more

Tarina's Nails - Interior of Salon - Waxing Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Just horrible quality of work, both myself and my friend experienced. They were friendly and the place is clean. I like the location and the quietness of their space and that's where the things I liked end... I got a manicure and my friend got her nails and toes done, no design, not even tips (they forgot... whatever that means) and it came out to $80 and still tipped to make it an even $100. I've been a bartender before so I know the life of tips so usually anything that requires tips, I tip well just as a good seed planted but this one hurt. Her nails just look bad. They were supposed to add a tip (and apologies if I'm saying things that are wrong lol I don't know the nail salon lingo) and they didn't. That alone is like what? How do you allow a person to leave without doing the work you were requested and still charge? Just different... and my nails began to crack just two days later. I didn't get a photo of her nails but below you'll find a photo of mine. I'll never go back and I wouldn't recommend it. A woman came in maybe about 15 minutes before we left and even the way they treated her and handled her nails was poor. I see they have good reviews but from this one experience, I didn't see it. One and done for us. read more

Great experience here. $30 for a manicure and pedicure. CASH ONLY so just be sure to plan ahead (ATM across the street). The space is small - only three pedicure chairs and I think four for manicures. I came on a Saturday morning though and only had to wait about 20 minutes. I had a basic mani/pedi with polish. My technician was so thorough and did an excellent job. It has only been a few days since, but nails still look perfect. read more

I was so excited when I found this place. The staff is friendly, the shop is clean and the service is fast; unfortunately that all means nothing if your nails don't last a week. I've been here 4 times the first time things went great a refill and pedicure and I was impressed, I'm not sure if that was to assure my business but every time since I've had my nails lift if not pop off within days. They said you likely need a fresh set I said ok no problem, BIGGER PROBLEM now nails are chipping and 3 nails are off within 4 -5 days. Not to mention the horrible overlay that was done on my one nail!!! The nail is left thick and misshapen. A total waste of money and time!!! Extremely disappointed because it's so hard to find a good place. Guess the search will continue. read more

The establishment was CLEAN, it was QUIET, and the employees were so so so nice to me. This is rare for a nail salon in my opinion. Prices were great! Most importantly, my nails were great. My nail tech was named Lyn (hope I'm spelling that right), go to her! read more

Did an excellent job on my acrylic nails, the shape was perfect and the nail tech was very sweet and cordial.

They do quality work at this salon. My gel mani lasts for a full two weeks or more--no chips or peeling as I've experienced at previous salons. Though they recently began accepting credit cards, the machine has been down at times. You may want to bring cash just in case. read more

I came in on saturday for a mani & pedi and was super excited. the man doing my nails upsold me on getting gel as it would last longer. i was just excited to be treating myself as it's been a while. upon leaving i noticed gel all over the tips of my fingers which eventually peeled off. by monday 4 of my toenail polish had come off and 2 chipped. my nails were chipped and lifting as well. i had to go back to the salon twice (monday & tuesday) which the lady there redid my entire foot polish (every single nail easily peeled off) and redid some of the finger nails that chipped and lifted. today is wednesday and yet again i have another chipped nail. this is ridiculous. i spent $100 for the service and i'm extremely unsatisfied. i don't have anymore energy to go back again to get the nail fixed. i've already been back there twice in less than 4 days. i thought gel lasted 2 weeks. i have a desk job and haven't done anything strenuous since getting it done so i'm sure it's not me. thanks to the woman who toke the time to redo them but i don't recommend. read more

Absolutely love this place. They've only been open for a few months so I can usually just walk in without an appointment because no one seems to know about it yet. The owner, T used to work at Diamond Nails and then she and her husband opened their own place. I've had pedis from both T, Linh, and John and they've all been excellent! Just a heads up - they are cash only, but there's an ATM right across the street at the Sunoco. read more

this nail salon is the TRUTH. they take their time and care about the customers. pricing is definitely worth your nail set. would highly recommend 10/10!' cash only though but there's a gas station across the street with an ATM, $2 charge to take out cash. read more

Thy (pronounced "Tee") did an excellent job on my dip nails. She is surely one to pay close attention to detail and make sure you are satisfied with your nails every step of the way. I highly recommend! read more

So I've lived in west philly most of my entire life and have had a hard time finding a salon to call home. This place is my new nail salon home! The salon itself is a bit small. BUT the service of the staff is great and my nails came out exactly how I wanted! I got a full set and pedicure and my wait time wasn't long at all (like five minutes). It's been over two weeks and not one nail has fallen off. I don't even look like I'm ready for a refill yet. I will def. be returning and check it out! read more

Came here on a Monday around noon w/out appointment, & walked right in. My toes look great; the pedicure was very gentle but completely thorough. Will wait to see how it lasts (I expect a month out of my pedis), but based on my experience alone, this is a full 5. Super relaxed atmosphere, clean, friendly - remember CASH ONLY ! read more

I got a pedicure here the other day and my toenails look great. I also like the price ($20, but remember to bring cash). I don't think I'll be coming back, though, because of the strong smell--it's probably a combination of the ventilation and the products they use, but the place *really* smells like chemicals, more than other nail salons I've been to. I started to get a headache within five minutes, so I can't imagine what it's like for the people who work there. read more

The owner and staff are so sweet but unfortunately I will not be returning. Had an upcoming trip to Vegas Monday evening so we made an appointment for Saturday morning. I got a refill and a few fixes on my thumbs and index fingers. Monday afternoon while LITERALLY taking off a shoe, my thumb broke in half. I went back and they did fix it for free but two days later, the other thumb had a crack in it and an index finger felt wobbly and loose already. I ended up taking them all off by the following Monday because one by one they were all popping off. Didn't even last one week, forget about lasting the estimated two weeks. It is a very small shop and may be less frequented than other shops so my guess would be that they're acrylic may be old as a result of not being used often I don't know but I did nothing but waste money here. read more

The employees were really nice and did a great job while I was there. However, less than 24 hours after I got my manicure and pedicure, my nails were chipping off like crazy. I was not doing a lot of hands-on work as I was sick. Now it has been two days and I feel like I need to take off the nail polish or fill it in with my own! I hope their gel manicures are better because I will not be spending my money again on a basic manicure here when I could be doing a better job at home. read more

New to area. Just walked in without any prior knowledge. The people were very nice but the place smelled like a mixture of cigarette smoke and incense which really bothered me (the cigarette smoke more so than the incense). The manicure was nothing special. Would not go back here. read more
