I needed to pick up a box of powdered dishwasher detergent , and decided to look for it here. The isle was marked , so it was not difficult to find. And the price was a good bargain. Then I proceeded to look for sliced cheese in the dairy section. Sadly there were no packages of sliced cheese to be found. But while I was wondering up the isles an employee asked if I needed help. This Target location is pretty awesome, per usual for most Targets. Specifically it has a great cookies and crackers section, back right seasonal variety section, indoor home goods selection, and board game variety. They are definitely not understaffed and usually have multiple lanes open at a time for checkout. The parking lot is huge so no issues on parking, ever, any time of day! The bathrooms are average, not crazy big or clean but definitely doable. And they have a Starbucks up front to the left next to the Return corner. Things I think this location could improve on is their sandals selection, Juniors clothing variety, Gluten Free options, ice cream flavor variety (I mean come on, no coffee ice cream?), and dollar section size. It would also be nice to have a card brand in there that's watercolor or modern funnies and not have it break the bank. I come here most often were indoor home decor and necessities, cosmetic and shower materials, protein shakes, men's sales, and baking supplies. I also just love walking through the aisles, getting ideas for things I could make and/or invest in in the future. For instance, their rugs are to die for but almost a half month's rent pay... a girl can dream! read more

I love love love this Target. There is a large selection of clothing, food, and more. It is drastically better than the Jax Target based on the selection. However, their markdowns do occur on a different schedule. I purchased a dutch oven in clearance at the Jax store and when I was at the ilm store the dutch oven hadn't been marked down as far yet. Another plus is that this store has added the Starbucks! They have a great section of snacks and beverages to enjoy while shopping. The only downside is exiting this shopping center during a busy time. read more

I would not recommend this Target to anyone. My husband and I were regulars here and are absolutely disgusted at how we were treated on our most recent visit. We love so many of the products Target had to offer so we were always willing to put up with the general disorganization throughout this store, sometimes messy/dirty bathrooms, and very long lines that are 20+ minutes the majority of the time. But after our last experience here, that was the final straw. We stopped in to this store a week ago specifically for an item that was on sale for 40% off. The Target app showed inventory of 6 of this item in stock. There was only 1 out on the shelf. We asked a staff member for assistance and they said they did not know where the other items were but if we went to customer service they would give us a rain check. Customer service said they would honor the price if we came back within 14 days as they were getting more stock of the item in a couple of days. They had us screenshot the deal to show customer service on our next visit along with our receipt reflecting that we only were able to purchase 1 of that item. On our next visit today, customer service told us that we should have been given a piece of paper for a rain check and they could not do anything to honor it despite showing them the time stamped screenshot and receipt from our last purchase just as customer service told us to do. So because a Target employee screwed up and did not do their job and give us a piece of paper, we were the ones penalized for this. We made a second drive out there special for this item and lost out on gas, time, and $64 we should have received from the discount. With how much we had always shopped at this store and being loyal customers, we are beyond appalled at the way this was handled and have no desire to ever go back. We prefer to shop at businesses that actually have concern for their customers and will make things right when they drop the ball. While Target has a lot of nice offerings, it's not worth it to shop here at this location. It's disorganized and messy, and the employees clearly do not care to do the right thing or treat their customers in an appropriate manner. Just save yourself the trouble and order online or shop somewhere else that sources better talent and quality employees. read more

I absolutely love this target! Every time I come it is very well organized so I can find everything I need quickly. The employees are always friendly and ready to help. Did a complete target run today with the family and needed paper towels among many other things. They are still doing an outside line to get in the store (which is completely understandable due to the current pandemic situation) However, when we went to go check out we were told we were only allowed to purchase ONE pack of a TWO pack of paper towels because it's one per person. This didn't make any sense to me because they also had a 6 pack of paper towels for purchase. I get that there should be a limit to paper products at this current time but a two pack of paper towels for a 4 person family is ridiculous. You're almost forced to buy their brand for more money. They lady at the register was also not very pleasant when explaining this. I do love target and come here often just this particular situation was strange to me. read more

You've been to one Target, you've seen them all isn't true of this Target. I believe this store is better stocked, has better selection and is cleaner than most. My most recent visit was on a Sunday morning and I spent well over an hour looking thru the clothing and housewares. I was really impressed with the home accessories and the large selection of towels. I was able to find towels that coordinated perfectly with the rugs I wanted for my bathroom. They look great together. I was also able to find some really great wood accessories and glassware. I was surprised to find an expanded grocery selection here. I found some interesting sauces in the refrigerated section and look forward to trying them. Another plus with Target is getting a Red Card so you can save 5% in your purchases. read more

It is just your typical Target store. It is nice, clean, plenty of cashiers, and well lit. One thing I found out was that if you bring your own bags, they will give you a discount on your purchases. This Target isn't the best I've been to, and it's barely better than going to Walmart, really. The parking lot and store are always packed, which can make parking and shopping a hassle. While I really like their holiday/seasonal section and cleaning products section, the women's clothing, shoes, and girls' clothing leave a lot to be desired. Selection isn't great, especially if you're just looking for some classic basics. The cashiers are always friendly and helpful, even though there are usually at least 3 or 4 customers checking out with full carts at each register. I went to this location with high hopes and I feel like I was let down significantly. I actually live in a different city and go shopping in Wilmington when I visit my family there. Went to this Target like I said with very high hopes and I was let down significantly. I found the grocery section to be dirty in certain spots. When you were in the produce section I saw stuff that was going bad. My biggest complaint was the customer service. I don't want to be constantly asked do you need help or anything but I passed at least 10 employees there was absolutely no interaction. No hi how ya doing? No hellos? And they all looked absolutely miserable. No smiles. Nothing. I did appreciate they had separate lines for self checkout and lanes. That's something I wish my Target would implement. read more

The employees are really nice and helpful... and when I need to ask for help, which is rare as I pretty much know the entire layout of every Target store in the US [mostly because they are all the same] but once in a blue moon I do get stumped and have to ask for direction and the Wilmington peeps did not disappoint. Shopping for personal care products with skin allergies can be a nightmare. Target makes it a lot easier though! They have an entire section of personal care items for people with sensitive skin issues carrying items like Burt's Bees, Yes to, Acure, Tom's, and several others. It gets even better, because they carry green lines of household cleaners - things I can't find in my local grocery store. Having a place nearby to pick up these kind of items is a huge relief and much easier on my pocket than having to special order. read more

It's your average Target... Well minus the Starbucks. Why this Target doesn't have one is beyond me. This location's Team needs MAJOR work. They are not all on the same page. Misinforming customers isn't cool. I was told by the young lady working the self check-out lanes (who was texting and ignoring everyone unless you approached her and startled her) if I would have the option of returning an item. I was on the fence about a particular product but she assured me that I could return it, no questions asked. I bought it Hated it. Tried to return it... The sassy older woman at the Guest Relations counter or whatever they call it, was beyond rude. She didn't even let the previous customer get her life together (put her ID back, put her wallet in her purse, grab her other items... Ladies, you can relate) before she waved me over. "What do we have here?"... I mean, maybe I look for at least a "hello" but hey... Whatever. Dryly states "Federal laws states you cannot return this". Uh, okay. She just kept repeating herself. Didn't explain anything. Dry, rude and in need of a different position. I can handle not being able to return something as life WILL go on, but damn lady... At least fake an empathetic smile or something. So I told her to keep it, throw it out, I don't care... She dropped it on the counter and pushed it back "We CAN'T take this ma'am". LOL. I gave the product to someone standing in line cause I really didn't have any use for it. This is NOT how I want to be treated by anyone in life so hey, I shall tell everyone about how rude and unknowledgable the staff is at this particular location. Get it together people. This Target is the same as any other Target I have been to, but this is one of my favorite chain stores. If you have never been to Target, it is like a WAY BETTER version of Walmart. Target sells clothing, grocery items, kitchen supplies...just about everything you can think of. I especially love their decor & school supplies. More towards the side of college-aged decor, but they have nicer items too. Every associate I have interacted with here has been nice (another reason to shop here instead of Walmart). There is not a large refrigerated foods section (small amount of meats & produce). But there is a fairly large selection of cereals, canned goods, etc. I also really like the selection of beauty supplies here...there are very good brands for a lot cheaper than other stores. read more

The newly added Starbucks inside of the target absolutely sucks. As someone who traveled here for the holidays from Atlanta, we went inside and there food options were low. They barely had anything on display, and some of the food options weren't on display or shown. I ordered a Venti Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher, with no ice, caffeine, and replace the water with lemonade, a drink i have order many times in various states and locations. Not only did they not even fill the entire drink, but they added caffeine. When me and my family asked why did they not fill the cup up since I paid for a Venti, she claimed she could not finish the drink, like every normal Starbucks does anywhere, had a nasty attitude about it, and didn't want to fix the problem. read more

The Store itself is much smaller after putting the "Food" (mostly frozen) in. There maybe a couple items.... The shoes were taken out (There used to be at least a dozen rows front and back of marvelous shoes... children's shoes were fun when they were little. Two (2) rows now,complete. When Replacing the Snack bar of Icees and junk food (hot dogs) With Starbucks, I found it quite sad... that Icee goes a long way with a 5 yr. old.(even a cranky one) I found it NOT to be Child Friendly Once Starbuck's came in. I did see other complaints that Starbuck's wasn't in Wilmington. (They've been in for a couple years now.) The Shoes and crappier & less misses clothing .... forget about the petites I actually wear. Even Belk stopped carrying dresses for short gals. The store always seems a mess, as the parking. That Cherry Icee is missed on those warm,hot,muggy summer Daze. :( ~~ Julia S. read more
