This was such a cute and clean hobby lobby! We've been to hobby lobby's closer to home tang are just super unorganized etc. we came in for needlepoint supplies and found everything we needed plus got great art decor that was super on sale! We walked away with great deals and prices and could have spent forever scoping out the holiday decor etc that just got put out! Cashiers were fast and friendly too. Customer service was absolutely awful on 6/6/26 at 4:30pm. Both managers were completely useless in helping a mom at her edge with a child that was losing it. All I needed was to make a quick return before a meltdown and instead they both pointed me to the back of a LONG line. My daughter then squirmed out of my hands and we lost two more places in line. I then hold my 1.5 year old to avoid losing our place in line and she proceeds to lose it. Everyone working near me gave me the most judgemental looks, including customers. Not one person said "we will be right with you", "can I help you", "sorry about the long wait", or god forbid someone say "hang in there, you're doing great!" I left in tears! No mom ever should be a spectacle or judged for doing their absolute best in a tough situation! Shame on you Al and Jill (the managers on duty). read more

Will not shop here again and I recommend others skip it too. They do not honor their posted and advertised prices and when you ask the manager, she is rude and unprofessional. You can find a better selection and better prices on Amazon and not have to stand in line for extended periods due to understaffed registers. Went with a friend who needed to pick up something. I browsed around and found a few things I liked. Lots of sales. The cashier at the checkout greeted me and was very friendly. The wait in line at this location is absolutely ridiculous. They have eight checkout lines and only two were open. The old lady in front of me with her one hundred plastic/silk flowers visibly got older. Hell, I had to go home and shave the new beard I had grown waiting in line. So I left, no purchase. It makes me wonder how much business you have actually lost that simply could have been corrected by opening another checkout lane instead of standing there, unpacking boxes, and watching the line grow. Bought a frame from the "frame shop" and asked them to help me put my poster in it because i didn't know how. They said they couldn't help me because "company policy". Sounded like a made up policy to me, and poor customer service. I would have paid to have it done, or even would have been nice to show me how to do it. There is a young lady that works here / used to work here who is great in the frame shop. She always helped me out and i wish she'd been there today. read more

I cannot even begin to explain how grateful I am to Tim over at Hobby Lobby. I just opened up an online store to sell my travel photography and while I have a good amount of knowledge about photography it doesn't extend yet to frames and printing. This is where Tim came to the rescue. We came in about two hours shy of closing on a Friday night and Tim explained all the different style frames, mattes, etc to me and my assistant aka girlfriend. We had 4 8x12 photos to put in frames and 1 12x18. Tim did a great job of helping me choose attractive frames and putting the photos in, cutting the mattes, and sealing the backs. Even when closing time came he insisted on finishing our job without hesitating all the while being super nice and personable. I am 100 percent sure I will be coming back to get more prints framed and I hope Tim is there because he is an all-star. I don't know much about frame costs, but the total for 5 frames, 5 mattes, and glass was $170 dollars which my girlfriend says is a great price. Stopped at hobby lobby today to get some wall decor for my farmhouse kitchen. When I learned that all wall decor was 50 percent off I was soooo excited! Found a perfect little picture to add to my kitchen. It was so cheap but super cute! You can't go to hobby lobby without finding an incredible deal. All throughout the store were different sales. The only downside to this particular location is there are only a few registers open at any given time and they move pretty slow. Otherwise, great place and great deals. read more

A great selection, but I'll never know why they only have one cash register open when there are 15 people waiting in line, while employees stand around giggling over their cell phones. It's very frustrating to wait in line so long to buy one item that cost $4. read more

I love hobby lobby but I spend too much money in there. It's a crafters heaven no doubt. I was a bit sad to see they had thanksgiving and Christmas stuff but no Halloween, I'm addicted to Halloween. I love the prices and of course the coupons they give. The employees are pretty friendly, there's plenty of parking but it can get packed in there so quickly and the lines get crazy long. If and when you visit go straight to the crafts you need or you could get lost in the store or even end of waiting forever. read more

Over the last year or so, Hobby Lobby has doubled their prices on most items and then perpetually put them on "50% Discount!" where you actually pay full price. It's Black Friday every day at Hobby Lobby! This shady ass practice can go to hell. Went there with two pictures whose frames had been damaged or destroyed in a recent move. The repair work by Louis was extraordinary, both restored to new in just a short time. When I first arrived there were only two ladies working with a building backlog (I was one of them). They paged for another person to come to the frame shop and Louis appeared to fix me up. Cheerful and efficient, everyone at the frame shop showed a level of professionalism and skill that guarantees that I will return. read more

I love the things that Hobby Lobby has in stock. But do not stop here if you're in a hurry. Every employee moves at a glacial pace. And the kicker was the lines we long, the cashiers moving like they were trying to prolong their shifts but still FOUR other people just stood and watched instead of getting on a register? FINALLY there is a Hobby Lobby, not only in North Carolina, but within a decent driving distance. I used to go to Hobby Lobby ALL the time when I lived in Austin, and then I took my husband a few times when we were in Texas and he, too, became a fan. So we were both equally stoked when we heard that they had set up shop in Wilmington. Question, what do you like to make? Decorate? Craft? Sew? Scrapbook? Cause this store has everything you need, plus some, for that exact thing you love doing, AND the prices are SO cheap you will not mind going crazy buying stuff. The frames always seem to be 50% off and there is always some crazy discount or saving on top of that. If you're a teacher, or part of a church, they'll give you another discount, but no military discounts. Anyways, I love Pinterest and I'm always pinning several DIY projects I want to do, and now Hobby Lobby will be my go to place to make all those nifty ideas come true. read more

Love love love all of the stuff in this store, there is sooooo much to choose from and again they almost always have a sale or coupon floating around. Rude unhelpful non existent customer service. The manager in the morning (a guy) is a real rude JERK! I got there a few minutes early (and GULP...had a return) before opening and waited outside (obviously). Others were waiting too. He unlocked the door and I was like "sorry I didn't realize I was so early". By the time I got to the third word he just gave me a dirty look and ignored me while walking away. Screw him and screw hobby lobby! Maybe it was annoying to have people already to rush in but don't be a d*ck! Then after my return I needed something else...I asked and they just pointed toward the back and says "back there". Ok whatever, this stupid store is huge so a little more direction would've been great. Plus it's not a store I go to often. If I had more time on my hands I would've left...I can get glue anywhere. But whatevs...I won't be back. Hobby lobby is a joke. read more

Place is clean and there is a lot of selection there. The stuff that they carry is cheaply made though.
