Worst Target ever. I was in line with cashier Araceli and bought around $85 worth of stuff. I asked for $20 cash back and asked for it to be given as two $10s because I needed to give my daughter money for a field trip. The cashier said she didn't have any so I asked her for four $5s instead. She took out her fives (of which she had way more than 4 to make my $20) and said she couldn't because then she might not have enough and then proceeded to give me a $20 bill anyway. Then, I went to their customer service counter to break the bill and they proceeded to tell me that unless I made the purchase at the register, they couldn't exchange the money for me. Like...WHAT?!? I told the girl at customer service that that is exactly what I did/tried to do and she just told me sorry, that's our policy and said I could go to ANOTHER STORE and get change for the $20 that I JUST GOT FROM ONE OF THEIR CASHIERS. read more

Okay so there are people everywhere that have been looking for specific products especially with the circumstances taking way right now. However, this was the only store I could find that had something I have been looking for, I live about 30 minutes away and was on my way. I called the store just to make sure they had the product, the guy for that section answered and said they had 2 left, I informed him I was on my way and asked if he could hold it, at this point I was 20 minutes out. Do to the circumstances he informed me they could not hold it, fine I get that and it is totally understandable. Here was the problem, I get there and walk in and go to the counter and it's the guy I was on the phone with, I ask him about the product and told him I was the one who called...he then proceeds to start laughing and says no I just sold it, stops looks at me and then laughs some more shrugs his shoulders and just walks away. read more

It's really upsetting that I have to write this review. I love target and spend way too much of my time and too much of my money on them, specifically this location that is very conveniently down the way from my home. I've never really had a bad interaction here until today. I do believe my boyfriend and I were profiled because of our appearance. I try not to go anywhere looking rough but today was just an off day. I was in gym clothes and my boyfriend was still in his construction clothes so yes we definitely looked a little rough. We used self check out as always and as we were checking out I could see a member whispering not so discreetly into her walkie, I had to run off for something and when I got back she was asking my boyfriend if everything was ok. When I got back she asked if she could check our cart and bags cause she didn't think everything had scanned . I personally scanned everything so I knew I had but of course mistakes happen and I have zero issue having anyone look over my things. She then stated the very specific item that was not scanned and continued to look through the screen and scroll up and down to find it. She did not "find it" and in a condescending tone started to say that it "was ok" that "these things happen." Well being the one who scanned everything I knew I had so I started to scroll down the screen and very easily point out the 80$ item that was scanned... would you look at that. She quickly said that that particular brand didn't "always scan" That they had had problems with that very specific brand so she just wanted to make sure... ok. Whatever I get it people steal but I've never had this issue before just the day we come looking kinda rough. You should really have your employees take the discrimination course again cause they are very obviously failing on that. read more

Can't get enough of Target-ever. I'm here at least once a week, if not more. I love this target, it's generally very clean. Pharmacy staff is very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have about this target (I guess all Targets seem to have this problem) is that they lack cashiers. There seems to always be a really long line. Other than that, this Target is great! No solicitors waiting outside the front door to hassle you. read more

Great clean store, but as always the parking lot leaves something to be desire. I have a somewhat unrealistic expectation that parking lots are a lot of wasted space most of the time and need to be beautified more...add more trees, plants , etc please. It would be most awesome if Target understood the appeal of parking beautification or proper tree care. OK, back to the store review...love target for some of their markdowns (shoes, clothing, etc.) and basic home items and pantry stuffers. But their clothing is hit nor miss because of the materials or the ultra trendy cuts more geared toward women whose body types don't include the birth of two children. The toys section is our most visited area. They have a decent selection of things Lego's and cool kid's helmets. The lines are longer than I would like to see at times. I am not sure why Target hasn't learned how to improve the checkout process yet. Also the location is somewhat of an issue from a driving point of view. Hate how the roads are so close to the freeway and the directions I always need to go seems to always be difficult due to traffic at the intersection. read more

Listen..... I LOVE Target and I would always go to this Target, but a couple weeks ago me and my Fiancé came in because he needed headphones since he was going to be on ship for 3 weeks. He found the last pair of headphones and we left. After I took him back to base and already left he calls me and says it looks like the headphones have been used so I told him to check for earwax or any signs of usage and he was right. Headphones completely used earwax in them and everything AND they didn't work. *he didn't put them in his ears he plugged them in and turned up the music* so I tried getting ahold of that Target because he left to get on ship the very next day and he had all the information. I called to let them know what was going on and no answer. I then had to call the customer service number and they were very helpful they told me to just get the receipt from the store and they would give me a gift card in my email. So when I finally was able to get into the store I went to the customer service area where the lady Andrea I believe her name was, was really rude. While we were trying to figure out how to get my receipt I was standing right across from her while she called another employee and said "well tell her we cannot issue a refund or get the receipt if she doesn't have the product" ???? I was standing literally right there so I was confused why she called someone else to tell me that? Anyways the guy who helped me and the other lady were very nice to me and helped me out a lot. I then called customer service and gave them the receipt and a picture of the headphones and they told me I would get a gift card within 3 days. It's been 3 weeks.....! A Target is a Target... you know what you're gonna get. This location, however, is slightly subpar. #1. There is always a wait/issue at checkout. And by "always" I mean "often". The weird thing is that it's not the same issue repeated, but there's always... something. #2. Dealing with anything out of the ordinary is useless. Customer service usually tries, but I've never had a problem settled by them. The Escondido location is a prime example of a service desk who not only knows their stuff, but goes above and beyond. (no, I don't work for/know anybody at Escondido!) #3. The morale is low, and the workers let you know. They gripe to customers in line -- usually about being short-handed. This means either their gripe is legit and management should look into it for the sake of the customers and employees... or else they're not good workers and the work only SEEMS like too much. Either way, the customer shouldn't get dragged into it. That said, the Starbucks is a good one -- much better than the Escondido branch (told you I wasn't a shill!) -- and it's usually quite clean. If they could just tighten up on their interactions with customers, this could be a super branch. read more

My 12month old switched from breastmilk to Ripple pea milk (unsweetened) since she can not have dairy and they are always out at this store. Tried to ask if I could request them to get more and was told no nothing they could do about it. I have always been a fan of Target. My sisters and I like to go to other Targets in other cities just to check out what they have. They always seem to have everything I'm looking for and I always seem to send a little more then I planned! I go to the Target off Sycamore a lot mainly because its the closest one to my house. But its a good location. I've always found that the customer service is good. When it comes to clothes shopping. Sometimes you have to search but its totally worth it. This review is specifically about the PHARMACY at this Target. A few months back, I switched my husbands meds from Walgreen's to Target hoping to eliminate the headaches and frustrations. I am happy to report that this has been the best decision yet! I've switched my whole family over to this pharmacy and haven't had a problem since. Not only is the staff cordial and professional, the pharmacist is friendly and doesn't have any problems conversing with the customers outside of consultations. In fact, the pharmacist that is there on most weekdays was the one who answered all my questions and helped me transfer all of my prescriptions. I am so used to pharmacists at other pharmacies acting as if they are superior than the customers and even their coworkers. So I was pleasantly surprised and felt at ease here. The pharmacist that I feel deserves recognition for her awesome customer service and kindness to clients and staff is Kinjal Patel, PharmD MBA. Thank you! I need to take note of the other ladies I've talked with who work at the counter who always are kind and professional. These ladies are so on top of things. When I have a question about my insurance or authorization for any of the meds, they are happy to help and never seem put off by my questions or concerns. Great work Target Pharmacy staff! read more

Conveniently located off the freeway, this is a pretty big Target and it's usually pretty clean. They have fruits here that serve as their produce, but I'd rather go to a grocery store for that stuff. I've never had a problem with selection here, and you have other stores not too far away that you can compare their prices to. Staff at the place are nice enough, nothing outstanding. I have never taken the time to write a good review or a bad review. But people really need to know who they are giving their money to. This Target has some employees which choose to show favoritism to certain members of the community. They don't follow their own policy about arguing with customers about pricing. I went in tonight for the Halloween clearance items. They had some cat treats that were marked down by 70%. These Halloween treats were marked at 18.99 and the sign says it was 70% off. The employee a supervisor with the name of Norma said that not all Halloween items are marked down and she would not give the item to me for the marked price. This goes against their own policy about having any kind of issues with customers. She said she would absolutely not give me the mark down price. I choose not to shop at this store in the past because of the employees. I choose not to shop at this store in the future because of the employees. They have to do better. And they really need to pay attention to these complaints. This complaint is not because of the cat treats it's because of the way I was interacted with because of the cat treats. Your discounts and pay scale do not give you a pass on treating certain people like crap. read more

I've had really great experiences here, but on Monday February 26, 2018 a male cashier took care of me and although he was very nice I didn't like how much he talked about religion with me while I was buying a few things. It wasn't just a casual thing, it was 7 to 10 different words that he used to create acronyms that pertained to his religious views, which made me feel very uncomfortable. I know that he meant well, and I believe he may have had some type of disability (I apologize in advance if this is not accurate), so it's probably not even fair for him to have me writing this, but I think somebody should probably have a conversation with him privately about it so that he knows that not everybody that buys things or comes in may have the same beliefs he does nor want to hear what he has to say about such things because not everybody would be as nice about it as I am. read more

I frequent this store because it is very close to my house. However, I am always surprised at the mess that I find. Their baby section is always in shambles. It seems like they have not stocked their shelves in ages. One time I went to check out and they did not have any staff to open the full service lines. Like any Target shopper I left with items that weren't on my list, but I'm happy about it....especially the customer service. I saw a patio set on display and quickly flagged down Steven/Stephen (?) to help. He was incredibly helpful, polite and hardworking. He took care of taking the patio set on display, getting it on a cart and moving it to customer service for me. From there Andrea at customer service helped me navigate the store policies as I didn't have our truck with me. She did this kindly and optimistically. I don't typically write reviews on big stores like this, but these two employees were so incredible. There were also a few others that were helpful as buying the last of an item that is on display in the store took some communication amongst the staff. Well done Target! This is my FAVORITE target! The staff is super helpful and the store is always clean and organized. I love how the team members walk you to exactly what you need so you're not wandering around. Usually I have nothing bad to say about this particular Target, everyone is so friendly every time I come in, but KARA made me yelp them. I am a loyal guest to target. I honestly go like once a week. Look I get it your busy, especially right after the holidays. But don't be rude, if you get overwhelmed don't let it show. Well, unless you consider loudly berating employees about how they stock butter while making a scene and blocking an aisle rude. Which now that I think about it, I do. I have actually complained to the corporation before about this store. Not only will they berate employees in aisles, they'll do it at registers and on loud walkie talkies. The managers storm around the store, yelling and making scenes. It's so uncomfortable! As someone who used to work retail, I don't know how these poor souls do it. Over priced. Keep shelves stocked but not in proper spots. So it's not until u pay that u find out. The employees are all over the store but so busy cleaning that they don't notice or don't want to help customers. The few times I have shopped here its always same thing. I've always been a fan of Target and have shopped at this location since they opened about 12 years ago. Granted they can treat their people like indentured servants but many people are thrilled to work for them and they do offer lot's a people a great stepping stone to the next better job ... so for that I salute the organization. My problem is with this Vista Store. Tonight one of the cashiers forgot to give me one of my grocery bags filled with frozen items. You should know it's December 15th and the store was busy. No harm, no foul. I discovered I was missing a bag when I got home and tried to call the number on the receipt. The line was busy for 20 minutes. It's the holiday season so that's understandable. What was NOT cool is that the woman answering the phone, upon hearing my situation, transferred me to the Twilight Zone the first time. And then when I called back she (I could hear her voice talking on another line) proceeded to hang up on me 6 times. That's unforgivable. I wanted to just ell them I'd be back tomorrow to pick up my items. I never got the chance. I was so pissed off I drove all the way back to the store in heavy traffic and went to the clerk and he remembered not giving me the bag and had it "saved" for me at customer service. So basically my bag of frozen goods sat on the customer service counter for over an hour. I explained to the very kind woman that helped me (Ming) that I did not want melted goods and warm half and half. She asked if I wanted to go pull some new items and being short on time I declined and just asked for a refund. So it took me close to two hours to "fix" their mistake a about a gallon of gas. They lost the now warm frozen goods to "perish" and made a 20 year customer feel like never going back. Boo. read more

The customer service at this Target SUCKS. I have shopped at this Target two times, and both experiences have been bad in regard to customer service. On the first trip, I was buying about $500 worth of merchandise. It was around 9 PM, the store was getting ready to close, and I had a fussy baby with me (trying to wrap up birthday shopping). Well, the cashier scanned one item, a $56 blanket, twice. I didn't catch the error at the checkout because I was in a hurry, and I ended up paying for 2 blankets and only getting the one. When I got home and discovered the error, I called customer service later that week. They told me to come into the store to take care of it. When I came into the store, the customer service department told me they had no way to prove that I had only bought one blanket. I suggested they run inventory on the item; they should find that they had one more in stock than they were supposed to. They would not do this. They called the security guard over! He said they couldn't do anything for me and implied I was trying to scam them! I ended up losing my $56 and being treated like crap. The next time I had to go to Target, I really didn't want to go to that store because of my experience there, but I was on that side of town and desperate to get another birthday gift for a friend. This time, I had the world's weirdest cashier. He seemed to be maybe autistic or something, I'm not sure, so I was polite to him. However, he started rattling off a bunch of weird sayings about Jesus and telling me that I needed to accept Jesus into my heart and go to church and stuff...he had a very Rain Man approach to all this, as he recited weird catch phrases such as "C.H.U.R.C.H. Christian's Home Until Reaching Christ in Heaven" and "2 boards + 2 nails = 4given" etc. It was really uncomfortable and unprofessional. In short, I'm not going back to this Target. They are unprofessional, incompetent, and will accuse you of being a criminal when they overcharge you. read more
