I love Target!! It's true what they say... you go in to buy some socks or a pack of gum and you walk out having spent your entire paycheck. Don't come here if you lack self-control like I do! :) I've shopped at countless Target locations and really like this one. It's close to where I live, located in a big lot that also has an Old Navy, Michael's, Hallmark, Game Stop... so many choices. Across the road is another huge lot with a Walmart in it, but I avoid that place like the plague. This location is always clean, organized and easy to navigate. The dollar section is right at the front, perfect for stocking stuffers around Christmas time, Easter basket trinkets and other fun stuff. The sale section is big with a lot to choose from and the shoe section is right across the way with whatever you're looking for, and usually a good deal on some flip flops. I've shopped here for wedding and baby registries and things have always been easy to find, with an employee nearby to help if you need them. There's a Starbucks inside too! Came here to get a few necessary items and was honestly flabbergasted by the number of people not wearing masks. One group of four - again, all without masks - weren't even respecting social distancing, let alone personal boundaries. When I called to ask about this, the employee informed me that Target as a company cannot challenge guests who don't wear masks. That's outrageous - No Shirt, No Shoes, No Mask, No Service. Thank you for having early hours for seniors and those with compromised health. During this pandemic, it is stressful and I have noticed local neighborhood posts from others about this store not enforcing social distancing at the checkout lines. Some people will need to be reminded and for the sake of everyone in that area, please do this!! There are still many people who refuse to wear a mask and then they get in line and still will not distance from the person in front of them. For the sake of your customers' health, kindly enforce this. Apparently some are getting very nasty with others who are trying to keep distance. I'm a loyal Target shopper. I can be right outside of a Walmart but would rather drive down the street to do my shopping at Target instead. I'm there sometimes several times a week getting something seemingly, in every department. My credit card statements each month confirm this. The Target stores that I frequent most are the Vista location off of Business Park and the Encinitas location. I chose to stop at this one since I was in the area and I instantly regretted it. The parking was nuts on a Thursday afternoon and the shopping cart that I was supposed to put my toddler in and my intended purchases was filthy. I had to search through the line of carts for a cleaner version. I had to settle as they all seemed a little past their prime. I was grateful I had extra wipes (purchased from Target, of course) in my purse because they were also out of the courtesy wipes at the front. This store is a complete wreck. First off, they were out of my Seventh Generation laundry detergent. Only had the lavender scented. I was able to get the cleaners I needed at least. When I got to the Halloween decorations, I could barely get the cart through the aisle. Stuff was everywhere. I ended up not even browsing. I can't shop in that kind of chaos. Last stop was the children's clothing section. I didn't need anything but always like to browse to see if there's something I can't live without for the little one. Again, the Cat and Jack tables (my daughter loves their shirts), was tossed through and in complete disarray. It looked like no one bothered to fold it in days. I just kept going. Even my little one said, "Mommy, what a mess!" If a 2-year-old says that out loud, you know it's true! I only ended up with a few items on my list and realized I needed to cut my losses, abandon ship and head to my preferred target store. So, I put the 2 items back, returned my dirty cart and headed to the Vista location where I was able to purchase ALL my items and then some. I still love Target but I would rather pass on this location and head a few miles down to the other Vista location where bathrooms, carts, and aisles are clean--and I can 9 times out of 10 get everything I need. 095 / 100 - 2017 YELP 100 CHALLENGE. Target always has great decorations for holidays and they ALWAYS have in-store pick-up, which cuts down on the cost and makes life so much easier. Since my husband and I recently purchased a new house, we were really excited to decorate for Halloween. We went online and looked at their different items and found a few that we really, really liked. So we went ahead, made sure they were available for store pick-up, and then ordered them. I got here around lunch-time on Friday and it was pretty empty! Lots of parking, which is great, but confusing to get through as half of it was under construction. People get really antsy and forget how to drive when lots of areas are blocked off lol. The store itself is pretty big from what I could see! Definitely a lot of stuff to check out. I needed to pick up some makeup and hair spray, so I only went through that area. Everything was organized and put together from what I could see. I found my stuff and checked out, which took about a minute with self-check out. Nice! After that, I headed to the customer service section to grab our new Halloween decorations. There was already a line when I got there, but the two employees were very quick and professional. They checked my e-mail and were off to find my stuff immediately. Wahoo! Once they found everything, they let me look them over to make sure they were in good condition. After that, I signed off, and we were done. I did everything in about 30-45min I think. A majority of that time was looking at all the eyeshadow palettes and debating on what kind of hair spray to get lol. Back in March 2021, I purchased several packages of Ensure, I carry one to work every day. The first few times the Ensure tasted a little off but I thought maybe it was because I had never tried this flavor before, but I poured it out every time anyway. The next package I drank about half when I noticed it wasn't quite right. When I got home from work, I checked the packages and found that they had all expired in September 2020, a full 6 months expired! I also ended up with what I believe was food poisoning that night! Not my favorite Target in the area, but it is right off the 78 freeway, somewhat clean, usually have items in stock, has a larger DVD section than some of the other targets in the area, pretty decent size parking lot but whoever designed it was not the best designer, very hard to get in and out of the parking lot. Muchbetter than the one in Escondido on Auto Park Way but not as nice as the one in Vista on Business Park Way which is super convenient, clean, easy to get in and out of, and not very crowded. I'm only giving 2 stars because they price matched for me. I went in to see if they would price match some beats headphones. The guy in electronics tried to do it but his mobile POS (point of sale) kept freezing, so he brought them to the customer service/return desk. I went up to check the price when I was done shopping and the girl was very rude. When I asked her if she could see if they price match from amazon, she said 'I don't think we can' and I told her the guy told me they could at least check at the front, just in case. She continued to push back and say 'well I don't think we price match Apple or beats products'. After I asked if she could at least check, she got on her phone, not even the mobile POS system. She then checks it on the register and WHAT DO YOU KNOW?! THEY DO PRICE MATCH THEM!!! All the way down to $174 which was less than I was looking to get matched. I then told her I wanted them and she stares blankly at me and says 'ok'. Since we were at the return line I expected to have to bring them to the register. She never told me she was going to ring me up and looks at me like I'm a idiot. Well excuse me but how am I supposed to know, I fully expected to get in another line and had no problem doing so. She then bags my stuff and leaves my empty basket sitting in front of me with all my stuff, that was already paid for at this point, closer to her. She didn't even try to hand me my bag. After trying to hurry up and get away from her, I forgot to use my cartwheel app. And even said 'oh shoot I forgot to use my cartwheel' she stares at me silently, doesn't even offer to return and buy back or help me further. At that point I didn't want her help. The acting manager did offer to refund me for my cartwheel coupons which was nice. But damn do some of their employees need some MAJOR customer service education! I've been in retail for almost 8 years and I would never treat a customer the way she treated me.....I'll be sure to take my business elsewhere next time. read more

This Target has its perks. I love that this location closes later because of the fact that it is a more popular location. One of the things that really saves my booty is when i'm normally shopping at the Business Park Target location is that they don't have the stuff I am looking for because they aren't a "popular" location like this one. read more

Customer service at the registers is mediocre at best. Every time I go back to this store I am reminded of why I don't shop here. This particular Target sells expired food items. Do not purchase any food items without verifying the expiration dates. I have noticed it over a period of time and it is consistently an issue. I stopped purchasing items needing refrigeration some time ago, however the other day I purchased beef jerky just to get home to find it expired last year! I registered at this target location for my baby shower. Staff is friendly and helpful. The baby selection is big. Had a lot to offer compared to my location in Escondido. Unfortunately it is a bit messy. All the strollers were unorganized and had no prices. The store associate was helpful finding what I was looking for. Overall good experience. read more

No matter what I am returning or how nice I am, I am always treated terribly without fail. Abigail at the returns desk is HORRIBLE!!!!!! She is so mean, rude and downright awful. I visit this Target at least once a week. It certainly is the messiest Target I've ever been to. Are they short on help or just don't care. I shopped and proceeded to self checkout. The card-feader would not accept my Targer redcard. I made several attempts to pay with my redcard, unsuccessfully. The employee at self - checkout also tried with no success. She told me that I had to call the number on the card to find out why the store was refusing my card. I left my items that I had wanted to buy in the cart. This is beyond ridiculous. I have had this credit card since 1998 and had just paid the bill balance, on time, on December 23. I was told on the phone, in my car, that a bill had been returned to them because of a wrong address. This is crap as I have lived at the same address for 31 years. No way do I believe for a second that the US post office returned my statement to Target, for any reason. There are too many competitors in the world to accept this garbage. read more

This is a HUGE target. They seem to have a much bigger stock than the Oceanside location. I came in looking for an elusive bench. When I went to the furniture department, it was nowhere to be found. So I found the nearest phone and called for assistance. Firstly, I had no idea this service was available. I'm used to wandering until I find a red shirt, but last night I decided to use my eyes and saw the sign behind me for service. Sure enough, within 60 seconds I had someone here helping me out. There was no item number on the target website, so we just did a word search for it. We still couldn't find it, so he said he'd go in the back and grab one for me. As I waited, I decided to check "see collection" on the website and discovered it's a holiday item, which it sure was hiding. Long story short, the employee didn't find what I needed, but he was so nice to bring out a couple of benches for me to choose from. I don't blame him for target's poor organizing and referencing ability, but I commend him for how hard he worked to help me. read more

I want this store to be better cuz it's in my neighborhood, but after a dozen visits I have to admit it's a 2. 1. Carts everywhere in the parking lot 2. 1 bagger at 5pm with 5 lanes open 3. Very small selection , if any, of local products. San Diego has lots of local growers and producers but they are rarely carried here. Not even Moto coffee! 4. NA beer selection is O'Douls. I like this location because its a Greatland and is bigger. I also like the hand baskets you can carry to put your stuff in. They're new and the handle is nice and big so it doesn't dig into my hand or arm like most of those one's with the metal handles do. Anyway, I love target period. I deducted a star because there's less clearance markdowns here and because there's a Starbucks inside when there's one in the same exact lot. Literally. One in Target. So as I brought the bike back and show the employee the handlebars were detached she instantly gave me a refund I asked to speak to the general manager she was not there and was told she called me the next day I never got a call so I called her told her what happened and she called me a liar and also said she watch the video of me returning the bike and said I never pulled the handlebars off the bike that was a lie she said I have since reported This and sent it to the corporate office we shall see if anything gets resolved this general manager is nasty she does nothing but lie and yell and accuses customers of lying I asked the corporate office please pull the video so they can see who is telling the truth read more

I wish there was an option for zero stars. I filled a prescription at the Target Pharmacy here. I hadn't used the medication before, so I had to meet with the pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician was very nice, but then the Pharmacist, instead of coming down to speak with me, started yelling at me from behind the dispensing bench. She found my prescription for cholesterol meds and said, and I quote, "Just take them at night". Didn't come down to the counter to speak with me privately, didn't talk about any drug complications, just said to take them at night. When I asked about complications with statins and grapefruit she said "You take them at night. You don't eat grapefruit at night, do you?" These people are incompetent, and dangerous. You should avoid this pharmacy at all costs: their lack of professionalism will put your life in danger. read more

I am not a happy camper. We went looking for the Frozen Elsa doll and as per their website, this was one of the stores that had stock. Oh happy days!!!!! Or so we thought. We get there and battle to find decent parking. After nearly being run down a few times we make it inside. The toy shelves are half empty. No staff to assist. We finally track down someone who we think can help us. He says that the Anna and Elsa dolls have the same part number. So what we see online isn't a true reflection of what they actually have in store. Is it just me or is that not a massive FAIL?!?!? What's the point of having all these nifty things on your website if they aren't working?!?!? I guess it's an ok store overall but this store has left me feeling disillusioned with shopping at Target. Time for a website overhaul, perhaps?!?! read more

I have been shopping here since this Target first opened up. I hate the new remodel they did. Only ONE entrance/exit instead of how they had it before with two at each end of the store. Also they put the entire right side(when you walk in, to your right) of the store for food stuff, and there is no middle isle going up/down the store, so you are forced to walk the perimiter, or cut thru a section. I rememvber a "Greatland" being on the outside of this store before the remodel, but I dont think it has the logo anymore, just says "Target." Parking is a pain, I suggest going to the end by the only entrance to the store, and turning right and parking along the side of the store. Not a lot of people know there is more parking along the side. Their prices are pretty good especially with DVDs and video games. read more

I will never order anything online again from Target. Three times I have ordered from them only to have my delivery date pushed back each time. It you don't need it for a month or two then go for it, otherwise good luck. My purchases in all cases, though in stock, sat for more than a week in Target's warehouse in OH.
