It's shocking to see everyday items like deodorant and underwear locked up while the process to access them is unavailable. My kid and I stopped by on a weekend and were met by various different items "secured" behind transparent plastic and no employees around to help. Even more surprising was the missing call button to call someone. The time and aggravation just aren't worth it, especially since Target already wasn't the best value option. Not my preferred location, however I was looking for a specific item in the travel section (which barely exists). The website said it was currently in-stock. Of course, I drive here and it is nowhere to be found. The 3 star rating is for the employees who were pleasant, patient, and intentional in helping me find what I was looking for. Sadly, the item was not there; in fact, the website was incorrect. They need to work on that! Also, when an employee says "check aisle D51" and the aisle numbers/labels are small and not positioned to be easily seen - it doesn't make sense. I recommend the location in Clark for more variety and better organization. read more

I typically avoid this Target because it's a mess but this recent visit deserved a review. It started with trying to get a shopping cart. The first few that were inside the store had trash and half-eaten food lying around in them. When you walk through the store, you see random Starbucks drinks that look like they've been sitting awhile. The shelves look disorganized and most of the merchandise in them are wrongly priced because whoever stocked them put whatever wherever. The seasonal section is unshoppable because, with less than three weeks left til Christmas, there's still aisles blocked by unsafely stacked pallets and carts. One bump will send the entire thing cascading on top of you, which is a lawsuit waiting to happen. There's never a salaried manager on the floor to address these concerns and the employees who are on the floor seem despondent. You can also walk by various sections of the store and see carts of loose merchandise being tucked away to make the floors seem cleaner but it's obvious that merchandise needs to be on the shelf. The store has been in disrepair for a long time but whoever is running this place now needs to go. If you're looking for a good Target to shop at, go literally anywhere else. read more

I came to this Target because it is the lowest rated Target in the area, and I wanted to test the bad reviews about this store. The 4 Things I based my review on were the following - Product Avalibility and Accesibiilty - 3/5 - I came in looking for 3 specific items, and I found 2 of them, and one of them, I found the last one available, many things were locked up though. Staff and Customer Service - 3/5 - While one employee led me to the wrong place for an item I was looking for, besides for that though, all employees were very nice, and were happy to help. Cleanliness and Organiztion - 2/5 - Many items were in the wrong places, and many shelves were disorganized, and also many things were misplaced, and there even were signs on the floor, and especially the seasonal section was very disorganized, and because I was coming 5 days after Christmas, I expected any Target to be messy and disorganized in the seasonal section, but this Target had an especially messy seasonal section. Overall Experience, Expierence Shopping - 2/5 - There were some longer lines, especially at the customer service desk, and also many things were locked up and harder to get, for the first time ever I saw someone checking reciepets at a Target, like it usually happens at Walmarts. Besides for that the store was very big, but too big for the staff to efficiently manage the entire store. And then, when I was leaving I saw 3 police cars outside, and I saw the police arresting someone from Target and taking him into the cop car. Overall, it is below the typical standards for a Target, if I could have, I would have given the store a 2.5 stars. read more

Last minute back to school supplies and clothes. They were well stocked and had a good selection of clothes and school supplies. The prices were pretty decent as well. Some checkout lines were faster than others, unfortunately the one I was in was very slow. I think the registrar was just having a difficult time keeping the line moving quickly. I have finally been convinced to no longer go to this target. I got SCREAMED at by an employee for politely asking them to open a fitting room. All of the fitting rooms were locked but I could hear two customers inside, so I asked the attendant if she could unlock a room for me. She immediately answered in a hostile manner, she screamed at me, did not unlock a fitting room. When one became available she screamed at me in front of other customers for going to enter it??? The fitting rooms were not closed people, she said herself they were open but apparently I'm just not allowed to go in it. Idk if this was racially motivated or what but no one should never have to experience this for simply trying to shop at a store. I wrote feedback to the manager about this crazy experience and never heard back. They know there employees act like this and they don't care. It is not worth the terrible experience and ruining your day just go to Clark or a different target. read more

This time at the north Union location it was 2 of the 6 items I purchased. That's 33% of my purchase that you're overcharging me for, Target. Friendly staff are there manning the plentiful cash registers, so we didn't end up waiting too terribly long on a Saturday afternoon. Also, there was a good amount of parking, and it's right next to a Best Buy and a Whole Foods, so it's a convenient location too. Also the place is best described as scruffy. Janky even. Random things were completely out of stock. The only store brand cheap pasta I found was macaroni and spaghetti. All the others were fully out of stock. This isn't covid anymore guys. Where's the stuff? Aside from having swathes of stuff randomly out of stock, a bunch of the aisles were left looking messy, with random stuff on the floor. This isn't Walmart, people. This Target has been redone but so many shelves are half stocked. This pandemic has really put a glitch in their supply chain. We found everything we needed however- just had to go with different brands and more. The one negative was that the receipt seemed high so when we checked the bill, we saw that we didn't get the sale price on the vitamins. There was a huge difference and that made me upset. We did self check out so wondering if that's why it happened. So we had to go back and get it adjusted. Target is Target wherever you go. Basic items. Standard Target but a fair number of missing items and half empty shelves. The wait for order pickup wasn't too long and they have parking spots for drive up pickup. Some cleaning supplies but disposable gloves, peroxide, isopropyl alcohol, and disposablr masks were absent; cloth reusable and hand disinfectant was available. read more

My local Target is the one located in Linden, NJ, which is pretty much the Target that the corporation has given up on. It's grungy, rarely stocked well and the staff often has an attitude. This has sent me to other locations in the area so I generally wind up going to this location or Menlo Park. In heavy contrast to my local store, this one is a dream. Large, organized, clean with a very helpful staff, this is the Target I *wish* was closer to me. Even the staff at their newly renovated Starbucks counter is nice and efficient. My primary buying habits at Target involve action figures, home cleaning supplies and supplies for my cat with some occasional groceries. Every time I have come to this location I've managed to find something in those categories. Well worth the trip! read more

Place always looks like there was a battle fought there, shelves in disarray, nothing where it's supposed to be size wise, im sure the staff mean well but the store is understaffed as it is and these people are already too busy. Self checkout seems to be the new wave but when you have customers who arent equipped mentally to work a self checkout, you need someone there to help, which there isnt. I myself scanned an item twice and waited about 5 full minutes before walking to a nearby associate who told me they werent the person i needed to help me but they didnt know where that person was, so i left. This particular target is one i would only visit as a last resort but now, thats no longer an option. read more

This store sucks!!! I bought a gift card and deposited $60, wanting to give it to my child's teacher as a holiday gift. I didn't end up giving it away so I went to the store to spend it myself, only finding that the card was not successfully loaded! Imagine what would look like if I did give it! I was asked to call the gift card help line on the phone and was told I needed the receipt. Now I have to go back to the store to try to retrieve the receipt. Jesus! This store sucks! read more

Total mess. This has to be the worst Target I have ever been to, So bad until I don't even shop at Target anymore at all, no matter the location. Never enough registers open, Self checkout line isn't much better. Drive up is a waste of time as they pick and choose when to come out. They never answer the phone, and often times the Drive up crew is peeking out of the side door at the many cars waiting. Zero communication. Store is always unorganized and messy, Everything is locked up and it takes too long to wait for an associate to unlock. Grocery is almost always spoiled, Expired fruit, meat and everything else. Not sure who manages this Target but they seriously need to get a corporate visit. If it wasn't for the color red I would swear I was in Walmart. read more

I was in the Target at Vauxhall Union and was not happy with what I saw. I was looking for the Hanukkah display. I saw a few menorahs but couldn't go up close because there was boxes blocking the very few menorahs. This shows me a lack of total respect for those who celebrate. read more

It's alright here. The selection is pretty decent so when I come I usually get what I need. It's very convenient so and just as good as the other Target out on Route 22 albeit a bit smaller. The best thing about this target is there is always a fair amount of cashiers ready to check you out and on top of that there are few self check out registers to further help this along and even a staff who is watching it so if there are any problems it doesn't create unnecessarily long lines while the problem is fixed. I've never had any problem returning anything but the customer service attitude could be a bit better. It's not bad, but could be a bit warmer. Overall It's a decent Target. Convenient, ok selection and good check out speed. Nothing amazing but fulfills a quick run in saving you from going far out to Route 22's Target and or Wal-Mart. read more

This is an OK Target location. Large store, but not always well stocked.

Came here for some Starbucks Madeleines cookies, but the my closed early. However decided to go grab a few tees. Place was clean and well stocked. They didn't have anything in the end for me. But overall loved that they were stocked and the staff was nice to me. read more

Target is one of my favorite places to be. I love that this one is right next to whole foods. However, I forgot my wallet and keys yesterday at a self checkout and I called this morning at around 8:22am. I spoke with a woman in guest services i was put on hold because she said she will look for it. Then my call was transferred and I had to describe my item again and she said they didn't have it. Fast Forward to 2 pm i drive over there and my keys and wallet were in a drawer the whole time. read more

This Target location was okay. I was in need of some travel size items for an upcoming trip. Once I arrived, I saw a long customer service line ( that is never a good thing). CDC guidelines were enforced and social distancing was certainly in place. lOne thing that burns a nerve is rude employees. I pride myself in being unproblematic and if I can help myself, I usually do. I asked a staff member "where can I please find your travel items"?She said, "oh its right there". I said "where"? Since she was pretty much pointing to a wide range area. I mean if you can't walk me other there cool, but atleast be more specific on directing me. In comparison to other Targets, this is a very good location. It is always well stocked, the aisles are wide and keep clean, and staff is generally helpful. Lines are kept to a minimum because registers are well staffed throughout the day. Carts are kept in good repair and moved from the parking lot inside at regular intervals. They also keep seasonal merchandise rotated at good intervals. Basically, everything you would want from a Target store and their bathrooms are usually clean. Hooray. read more

I had a great experience while shopping at this particular Target location last night there were two associates who were very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer about the items I was shopping for, especially when the products was not on the shelf. I must give a special thanks to Darryl and Kay they were very helpful; these two associates went the extra mile. When an item was not on the shelf they both went to see if the item was in stock. I asked a few associates and I was told if the items not on the shelf that means we ran out. But when I went to Darryl or Kay and ask them about a product they both went that extra mile. With their help I found all 50 items on my list. If anyone needs have finding items on your list at this particular Target seek out Darryl or Kay, they will make your shopping experience wonderful! I was very happy when Target opened this store several years ago. It is not on a main highway but is still extremely conveniently located in a center that also includes a large Whole Foods Market and a Best Buy. It is usually pretty well-stocked and runs regular sales on all the home-cleaning items I usually go there for. The newly expanded and renovated food section is pretty decent. You can get Driscoll strawberries a lot cheaper there than from the Whole Foods a couple of stores down. They have some surprisingly upscale food items among the ho-hum stuff (i.e. Dubliner cheddar cheese and good Greek-style yogurt). It also has a full-service Starbucks inside the store. read more

I called this location with questions about in-store pickup for online orders, and the customer service that I received from the "store's operator" on 7/28/18 at 2:52pm (didn't get her name... add it to the list of rudeness) was awful. She was rude and unhelpful about answering my questions, said that guest services was too busy to take my call, and then when I asked for a number to call them at in order to be placed on hold, she did not respond and simply switched me over to a hold line. I was prepared to place a very big order, as I am moving into a new apt, and I will now be finding items elsewhere I truly can't believe how I was treated by this staff member. read more

Springfield. Ave, Vauxhall, NJ. Has a pattern of functioning well for a few months and then the management falls apart again. Too many shoppers for the cashiers. Doesn't consistently have carts. Often has had only one cashier and then the 6 self checkouts. Went on a Saturday evening to fetch childrens benadryl for grandkids and waited 40 minutes for self checkout. Then this Saturday morning I abandoned the shopping cart after waiting on line over 20 minutes. Sign posted asking for exact change or card due to coin shortage ?? The employees seem fine, there just aren't enough cashiers. Needs more mature and insightful management. read more
