This location displayed a wide range of brands and firmness options, but the two we wished to look at first were Tempurpedic and Sleep Number. Tempurpedic was well represented at Sleepy's. Our sales rep was on his first day after training, but was polished, informed, generally helpful and thoroughly professional. Unfortunately, there were no firm mattresses to audition, and frankly, we found nothing that was particularly notable about the Tempurpedic experience. We were also shown a high-end Simmons mattress. After answering many questions, we decided that a visit to the Sleep Number store in North Plainfield would give us the opportunity for intelligent comparison. The Sleep Number experience was an instant love affair, and we purchased their mid-range model for $1k less (with pillows and all accessories included) than the Temperpedic and Simmons models at Sleepy's. Bedding systems are a purchase where individual tastes and preferences weigh heavily, and the variety and professionalism at Sleepy's made it a good first stop.

We shared multiple online reviews of this mattress that described our exact problem repeatedly and said we were not comfortable with his solution and asked if we could choose something else. The store manager was dismissive and condescending about our concerns and said replacing with same mattress was all he was willing to do. His associate calendared a follow up call with us to see if we were satisfied with the replacement mattress. No call .. same problem with the replacement mattress. Mattress Firm has zero customer service and I would not recommend dealing with them.

As of this time, it has been three weeks, countless hours of calling and waiting on long holds, nearly a dozen emails... and still, no mattress. Not even a scheduled date for delivery. Will I ever receive it? Who knows. I have a herniated disc, and was advised by my doctor to get a firm bed as soon as possible. Had I been told the honest truth that it would be likely over a month (longer?) before receiving the mattress, I would have gone elsewhere.
