So it's a long time coming for me to post this review but it's well deserved. My husband and I went into this Macy's store back in the fall of 2018. We were in the middle of a long and emotionally draining renovation. We were give multiple move in dates and always having to push our delivery date. Our salesperson Nick (furniture) and John (mattresses ) we've found out there no longer with the company, sadly! They were both helpful and great to work with! Because of them and the entire staff there we'd recommend anyone to this store because they go above and beyond with and for their customers. Debbie is always welcoming and informative. Yani (i believe the store manager) is very helpful and courteous. I say this today because we wisely purchased Worry No more (furniture protection) and Bedcare(mattress protection plan) . Well for some reason or another we never received a mattress pad/cover you're supposed to get with the protection plan. I found this out after having taken my mom there to purchase her own mattress. I called recently to get this fixed. Yani went above and beyond to assist me in getting this matter fixed and she did that for us!! Looking for new furniture go to this store, just solely for the customer service they give!! Also the delivery men were super professional and respectful of our home. read more

Entered the store and I was the only customer there along with four salesmen. I told the first Salesman what I was looking for and he pointed me the direction I needed to go. I passed three more salesmen as I tried to find what I was shopping for and none of them acknowledged me at all. I really needed assistance and decided to leave and go to Lazy Boy. Two salesmen watched me walk out as I left. Horrible customer experience. I was completely ignored. read more

A wide range showroom featuring: furniture, rugs, mattresses, bedroom sets, patio sets, etc. Did not buy anything, but got a feel for what they had in stock. I would have liked to been able to bargain some of the prices down, or make some kind of deal. read more

I purchased a matress from Macys furniture outlet in Springfield N.J. The mattress was scheduled to be delivered today 7/14/2022 at 1 PM. I'm am not so nieve to actually expect the delivery to happen at the actual scheduled time (unless its Amazon). However it's currently 5 hrs late and it's still a no show. This is totally unacceptable. I received a notification that the delivery would be delayed by 1 hr. I've had other furniture stores deliver within an acceptable window delay ( ie Ashley, Raymore, and Bobs) I had to reschedule my business schedule beware of this delay. I rather the dispatcher notify me and just state that the delivery is not going to happen today and request a rescheduling. Dont leave me in limbo and waste my time and inhibit my activities. I will not purchase furniture from there again. read more

Absolutely unhappy with their delivery timing and service. While they have tried to make it better with discounts and free shipping. I'd rather pay a million dollars to have received my couch in a timely AS PROMISED manner. Completely awful experience. read more

My family and I traveled an hour away to this location to walk into no greeting, help or interest in sales at all. When we asked a white associate a question we were given a close ended answer and were told rudely there were two more people ahead of us (store was pretty empty from my perspective). Instead of directing us to another associate who was free we were ignored. There was clearly another associate sitting in front of a computer doing nothing. We sat on one of the sample couches for a good 20-30 mins until another associate approached us and asked if we were being helped. What could've been a 10 min visit by answering two simple questions turned into a half hour long visit with no resolution or sale. We were ready to purchase a sectional unit and left with nothing. Never again will we make a trip to this Macy's outlet location. Extremely unprofessional and racist. read more

Delivered mattress as promised. Delivery men and sales staff were excellent!

Their "White glove delivery" is a joke. I purchased a mattress at the Rt 22 Springfield location. When the truck arrived I could see one of the two gentlemen smoking inside the back of the truck. When they brought the mattress in they removed the plastic and continued to handle it with their dirty work gloves. I called customer service and was told that they use independent contractors to deliver, so had no control over what they did. And I paid for this service. read more

The sales rep was nice (Annie I believe) when I was making the purchase, but when I went back to payoff my bill, the white associates were EXTREMELY racial towards me. I am a well spoken, respectable black male. When the white male associate was asked to take my payment, I said how are you? He looked right at me and did not answer me AT ALL!! A young white woman helped me and was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. She asked me what I wanted to pay, I said the entire balance, she replied well what is it? I said can you not see it on the screen? I gave her my receipt then I made the payment. If you are a black person do not expect to be treated properly in that store. Will not go back!!!! read more

I am extremely upset and aggravated with this store and their communication with their vendors and warehouse. Back in August my husband and I bought our first home. Keep in mind we have no furniture. We went to Macy's on rt 22 and were torn between two couches. Wendy told us the difference in price and that one would take 4-8 weeks and the other would take 10-12 weeks. We loved the couch that was going to 10-12 weeks a little more but were worried about when it would come in becayse we were hosting Thanksgiving with both our families. We figured out the time frame and when 12 weeks would be and Wendy reassured us that it would be in time. Even a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. So we went with that couch. It is now 12 weeks later and still no couch. I contacted Macy's and they told me it won't be in the store until November 24th because there vendor is backed up. And not only will it not be here until November 24th but then we can't schedule the delivery until 7 days after that. So we WON'T have it for thanksgiving. We never even got a call. Would never have known if I did not reach out to them. Plus, we would've went with the 4-8 weeks couch instead. And all they can say is sorry. NOT EVEN A CALL! and your furniture isn't cheap So I spent all this money and your employee Wendy promised it would be in and here we are. The worst experience buying furniture of my life by far. First, the sales rep talked me into opening a Macy's card to get $100 off. never happened. Second, just received the bill and I also noticed that the rep added their furniture protection policy without my authorization. when I called her to inquire what the $276 charge was, her response was" I thought it would be good for you". Third, the sales rep insisted that the couch would be delivered within 2 weeks. turns out that the couch wasn't in stock and it will be at least 6-8 weeks till it arrives. Their sales reps work on only commission, so you have to be very careful when shopping here. They will apparently lie and deceive just to get a sale and then give you a runaround. read more

I loathe sales folks because of stereotypical strong arm sales tactics. Over the years there have been a few pleasant furniture sales experiences, however today at this Macys was not one of them. We went to buy a bed for our guest room. Obviously we weren't looking for a top of the line bed as it would be used infrequently. We told the sales guy what we wanted and approximately what we wanted to spend. We found a bed that was more than we wanted, but that was fine, we want our guests to be comfortable. We get to the register and the salesman has tacked on, or failed to mention, additional charges. For example, he asked if we needed a split box spring or one piece. We said split. When we got to the register, that decision had cost us $150. There were several other similar upcharges. We decided we didn't like his sales tactics and we would see what Sleepys 1/2 a mile a way had to offer. At Sleepys, we saved $200 for a similar mattress and didn't not have a creep as our salesman. read more

Was on my way to another store to buy a rug for my apartment and stumbled upon a sign that advertised, "Macy's 75% off Clearance Sale on Rugs". Ummm...I didn't have to think twice about that. I pulled right into their parking lot, and walked into their furniture "gallery". They have nice furniture and rugs and the staff is friendly. I walked over to the rug department and was greeted by Debbie. She took her time to show me their vast inventory of rugs. She has rugs at all price points but most of their rugs (which are hand made, good quality rugs) are on the higher end of the price scale. But they are definitely worth it if you can afford it. I initially was going to buy one rug but ended up buying two. I couldn't resist. I am very pleased with my purchase and I am also very happy to have gotten them at such great prices. Much better quality than what I would have gotten at the other store. read more

My boyfriend and I just purchased a couch here and had a great experience. I forget the sales person's name but he was so helpful! We came in on a whim on a Friday evening and found a couch we loved, but wanted to look at other stores. He was not pushy at all. We came back a day later and the same gentleman was able to get us set up. He told us it was in stock, and 4 days later we have the couch! Price was better than most other stores we went to for the small sectional that was purchased. Would recommend. read more

I'll leave a quick review.... recenlty went here and was shopping around for a bed frame, decent selection,decent prices. The only complaint was that the bed frames we wanted were not in stock and would take approximatley two months for delievery( that wasn't even confirmed)... But our sales rep Hugh, was really nice, very personable, AND NOT PUSHY IN ANYWAY he was looking out four our best interest... I enjoyed working with him and wish the delivery would have been quicker, we would have walked out with a bed... read more

I purchased a mattress set. My experience in the store was fine and the mattress is good. My problem was with the delivery. Macys sent me several emails and called me at least twice to remind me of the delivery date. They do not give you a time until the day before the delivery date. They gave me the window of 1:30-3:30. The mattress was delivered at 5:30. They did not notify me of the delay. I had to call them at 4 to find that out. That's not how I want to spend a Saturday in general and my family had to change our plans due to macys poor customer service. read more

Had an amazing experience from Macy's - their delivery was quick and flawless - they even cleaned up after themselves, covered their shoes, rolled out a carpet so my floors would stay clean. My TV stand came damaged and they were able to deliver a new one to me within 4 days! Great prices as well - got a huge, beautiful sectional for under $2k! read more

My first mistake was ordering furniture (an entire sectional) online from Macy's website and not from Macy's furniture on RT 22 in Springfield. My second mistake was dealing with Macy's phone customer service!! (First 2 attempts put me in a call center in the Phillippines, my last 3 put me in Cincinnati where i was continuosly disconnected) It was at that point i decided to take a ride to Macy's furniture on Route 22 in Springfield. Not only were John & Wendy incredibly nice and helpful, they managed to fix the entire cluster f(you know what) I cannot recommend these 2 enough. Very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. I cannot wait until we get new bedroom furniture because i know where i am going. So impressed with their customer service that i invited them for my Super Bowl party. And not only were they terrific, the choices of furniture in the store is terrific.....and we went everywhere. Thank you guys!!! read more

The store has the laid back atmosphere of a small town bookstore or back country antique store. We bought our sofa here a few years ago. The sales rep was polite and helpful. Out of the entire stock we liked the leather corner sofa made in Italy. We thought it was the smallest and most elegant piece in the entire store. A perfect fit for our small living room. We have been happy with the sofa and never had to use the furniture protection plan called Worry No More. Judging by what the users on Consumer Affairs website have to say about this plan that would be like expecting snow in July. I called them to get the money back after 7 years as promised by the rep, they took down the information and we never heard from them again. This is simply a fraud and any rep who tries to sell it to you is a criminal. You can find good furniture here at an ok price, just don't buy their fraudulent protection plan because then you'll never have to worry about that money again - it'll be gone like the dodo bird. 5 stars for the couch, 0 stars for the furniture protection plan = 2.5 stars total. read more

Loved my experience with Macy's in route 22. Debbie was very personable and sooo helpful. We got furniture, a mattress and a rug. The only bad thing is that we had to do three transactions since the furniture is separate from the rug department and that is separate from the mattress department, but overall very pleased. Everything was delivered at once, and definitely with white glove service. These guys knew exactly what they were doing, covered their shoes with booties and we're very nice! I had an amazing experience purchasing a leather couch from this store. The sales associate was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me find a very high quality couch for a great price. He was able to order the couch so that I could take advantage of an upcoming sale and to coordinate the delivery with my busy schedule. Even after I placed the order, he called me several times to check in and ensure that I was happy with my product and the service. And, the couch is great. It is amazing quality and I cannot get over the good deal that I got on it. I got superior quality and service for a price that was not much more than one of those "discount" furniture stores. Had a great experience at Macy's with three different sales people. Jasmine, in the furniture department, was patient and helpful. Jackie, in the rug department, went beyond to find me the exact right rug. And, Naresh, in the mattress department, found me the right mattress and box spring. I've had three different deliveries from Macys's and each was courteous, fast, tidy and on time. All in all, I can not recommend them highly enough. read more
