I feel like the quality in items declined. Bought some brown limes a few days ago for delivery and the potatoes were soft with ugly spots. I feel like I should start supporting Trumbull west instead. A lot of people are boycotting for lent because of the company's shift away from diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies. Today I walked in because it's the only thing open at 8am, to get my daughter a last minute green shirt for her schools spirit day, and the manager had on a Target pride shirt. Probably old promo from that collection that got pulled off the shelves immediately 2 summers ago. I don't think that's going to help but at least he tries. read more

I have been shopping at this Target Hawley Lane since it opened. All the employees are always so helpful and cheerful as well. Until, today and I must call this young lady out. She was working the self check out around 12:15 on 5/18/2025. Unfortunately, I had a few issues and she had to assist me. Not once, did she greet me. Not once did she acknowledge me. Not once did she say thank you. Of course, not once did she say have a good day or anything at all. Please retrain this young lady to be customer friendly. A smile goes a long way. read more

Total chaos brings it down to one star. The lines were so long people are trying to cut - one woman with a disabled child tried it with me, and guilt overrode my usual, "Don't even think about it." Then there was a pile on when people saw I was a softy. The cashier I did finally get to was personable and cheerful, even dealing with a line as long as Mt. Everest is tall. God bless him. Boxes were everywhere, blocking just about every aisle, with no observed staff cleaning them out. At $15 an hour for a Fairfield County job (the most expensive place to live in the country), that might explain having only two cashiers working during a lunch hour. They've moved the Starbucks kiosk next to the entry, with boxes blocking the now narrow passageway. That was another horrific traffic jam. Get it together, people. read more

There is no service because Walmart is a big con. They told me they had a hard drive but it was a lie. A woman who sells clothes for Walmart took pity on me and looked up hard drives on the store's computer and they had none. Everyone in the store were poor people being ripped off or trying to get their money back, fat chance. read more

I have been in really big Target Stores in the south. For a store in the Northeast this one is huge!! I easily found what I was looking for. We toured around and headed for checkout. Anthony the cashier was a trip. He checked us out with a smile. If I ever get back to Trumbull I will bring my shopping list and buy what I need at this Target. Store is constantly in disarray. Items out of stock, all kinds of items being stocked are left in aisles. The store in general is always a mess. Employees look exhausted and unhelpful and all seem to constantly be in their cell phones instead of actual working. Like many other of these types of stores, the work force is so lazy they enable the store to look like this as they have little to no motivation to actually work. read more

This Target is disgusting. I did two online orders with store pickup (about one month apart). Both times they canceled the order and said that the items were out of stock. Both times I then drove down to the store, picked out the item myself, and went on my way. The laziness of the employees in this location is like nothing I have ever seen...attitudes, heads in phones. The Christmas stuff has been sitting on pallets since October. 3 stars because I like this location a lot, I actually prefer it however, since our new addition I'm slightly annoyed with one department. So my visits lately consist of only the baby section... so if you dont shop in the baby section this review may not be helpful. Firstly, aisle O4 for the last 2 months has not been restocked!!!! Why? Who is in charge of inventory for the baby department. Why are you allowing the shelves to stay barren. For 2 months you guys have not restocked the baby milestone cards or blocks??? Come on do better. Also, every visit the boys clarence rack is always visible and easily identified. Why is the girls clarence rack always missing or in another area. Like today....there are a bunch of strollers and carseats that are 15% off in the area where the rack should be (sale alert lol). Also the shelves along that aisle separating the clothes and all other essentials has not been properly labeled as "clarence". More than often it looks like a junk shelf...a place you just throw things you dont want, things that have been returned, things that were opened, etc. read more

I would have to give one of the store managers, Amy, a five star rating, also security and the corporate office. Purchased a laptop online, and it came defective. For 2 weeks, HP gave me the run around, doing tech support, watching videos on their site on how to troubleshoot. However, I refused to take screws out and open the back, to access the battery.So, HP told me they will not replace nor refund if I dont follow the steps. So five incident case numbers later, they told me to take it back to Target. Although the warranty had expired, corporate office and Manager Amy, went above and beyond, on my second trip to the store, to refund me. Me being an electronics customer for the past 20 years, paid off, and yea, I will never order an HP product again, the customer service reps hang up on you when you request a refund, on the phone and on chat. read more

I placed an online order for a couple items at Target. I get there and I'm pretty much the only car waiting for pick up. I sit there. A couple more cars pull in. And I wait. And wait. And no one has my order ready for me to pick up. For 45 minutes, I watched several cars come and go with their orders. 45 MINUTES. And no one came with my order. Best Target around. I've never had a bad experience here and lets just say I shop here quite a bit. Its very clean and organized. They usually don't let long lines happen, I don't think I've ever waited for than 5 minutes to be rung up, which is saying a lot for a Target store. They also have parking underground, around back if you don't want to walk in the rain or snow. The cashiers and staff are very friendly and helpful too. I've always been able to get help the few times that I need it. read more

This place is literally 4 billion times better than the dumpy ghetto Walmart down the road in Stratford. This place is clean and employees are helpful. There's a good selection of stuff, updated frequently. It has a small food section but you're probably better off at Big Y across the street. It gets 4 stars for not being Walmart. Ok so this is the 2nd time in two weeks that I experienced the worst customer service in history, two weeks ago I purchase a tv upon opening box notice there was no cord nor stand, upon inspection notice a sticker that was slightly covered showing it was a return tv and was supposedly inspected before resale. So they are selling products as new that clearly wasn't qualified to be sold. Took tv back the next day I explained to rude customer service rep what the problem was she just took my receipt and proceeded to refund me, I told her I wanted another tv , her response was go get it and come back here, mind you it's 58in told her no because there is no way I can lift it. Today purchase an item at another target, proceeded to exchange same product for a different size was told I have to go to the target I purchased it from. Mind you I have my receipt proving I purchased this item, so I asked again because it didn't make sense, once again the cashier responded rudely I just told you, that you would have to go back to store your purchased item at. Clearly this store cashiers need training in how to speak to customers, I will not be doing business at this target again left bad taste in my mouth. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a target store. Stopped here to grab water and a few other items. Upon checking out ,the self check out was the only register opened. While checking out I received a message on the screen that an associate would be over so after standing there for at least 3-5 minutes I noticed a girl who didn't have a target uniform or whatsoever talking to someone else and I asked her does she work her and she immediately put her hand up and told me to wait with a very bad attitude. I grabbed my things and went over to the customer service desk. Once there I was greeted by a woman who clearly hated her job. I asked for a manager she staged she was the manager and I explained what happened and she didn't seem to care so I asked for a store manager And apparently he or she wasn't there. Now meanwhile I'm telling her what had occurred the cashier is speaking to another employee in a beer loud tone is saying oh she's big mad. She just kept speaking a whole bunch of slang non sense. She even told me what time she was getting off work as if she was inviting me to fight or something. Just uncouth behavior. I tried to reach out to the store for the past week and no luck. One of the worst Target locations in Ct. They are constantly working on trucks. There are palettes filled with products always out on the floor,blocking aisles. It is the closest store to my job and every Friday,they are working on planograms...whole aisles are blocked. You can't ask for help because they are too busy gossiping or taking to fellow employees. When you do ask for help,they act very inconvenienced. They also seem to converge in the Starbucks area...taking up the tables and being very loud. I have shopped in this location since it opened and it has gotten progressively worse. read more

This is for Target's Pharmacy. This happens almost every time I pick up my prescription. There's about 4 people working and I am the only customer waiting and they make me stand there for 5 minutes before anyone looks up and says "Hello". They all look down like they don't see a customer standing there. The only nice employee there is Emily. I dread going to this pharmacy. read more

I tried to buy a vacuum at Target (Hawly Lane) on 3/3/16 and when I checked out with my Target red card they said it was declined and needed to call the number on the back of the red card. I went home without my vacuum and called and they said that the transaction was approved. I now have been charged and I have nothing...no vacuum...no receipt...NOTHING. I went back to the store to have them call the red card so I could get my vacuum. I spent 1.5 hrs at the store. The manager was not helpful at all. In fact she walked away from me two times. I have called the red card two times since then to find out what is going on (after being on hold for 30 minutes each time) I get disconnected. I HATE Target now. read more

Never enough registers open. Employees standing around doing nothing while customers wait in long lines to be checked out. Very rude employees. The other day I took my family to target around 8 am on a Sunday morning to purchase a few items. One of my children has Autism and did not enjoy being at the store so I left with him to get our car while my wife was in line with our other 7 year old finishing paying for our purchases. I pulled our car up and to the side of the store for all of twenty seconds when an employee (arriving for work), confronted me aggressively saying that I cannot "park" where I was because I was in their fire lane. Keep in mind only my front right tire was touching the fire lane paint and I was not "parking" and shopping, I was "standing" and trying to help my wife and child as she was exiting the building. The guy looked so hung over from the night before as he threw his cigarette butt on the ground. Even though he was not a Manger level employee, I explained my situation to him and being so early in the morning with only 3 other cars in the parking lot, I could move in a second if a fire truck had a store emergency to attend to. This guy proceeded inside, got two other guys to come out and confront me again. As my wife and child exit the building and we begin to put the bags into the car this dude calls the police-cannot make this stuff up. It was like being in the movie "Meet the Parents" when Ben Stiller is waiting at the airport at 4 in the morning and the Desk clerk tell him to "step Aside" when no one else i around.
