This is probably the best Target I've been in. Huge selection of items, really clean store, and great staff! It's a good store but there is this one employee Shelby she is not very friendly. And treated us with no respect. There was a slight issue and she handled it very unprofessionaly. If you have a question don't ask Shelby you will just be yelled at and feel dumb. I don't recommend! read more

Your typical Target. I've been here a few times over the years, primarily to clothes shop. Overall I've never been a big fan of Target but with COVID-19, that opinion is changing, primarily because of their drive-up option. I did it once last week and once this week; I'm considered "high risk" so I've been trying not to go into stores if possible. Last week, everything was smooth and seamless; this week, it took a little longer to get my order (can't complain though, it's a free service!) and they accidentally gave me someone else's order, so it's a good thing I checked it before I drove off. I alerted one of the employee runners and they went back into the store and got my correct bag. Thank you for offering this service during times like these! read more

Bright, clean, organized. This was a pretty good experience in electronics and menswear today. Prices were displayed clearly and the stock was leveled and folded properly. I am shocked by all the negative reviews this particular Target location has - why is this the case? When I came here, I was able to find everything I needed. No complaints at all. The staff here are fabulous. This was especially obvious when a group of very friendly workers came to the rescue to give me laundry detergent products that were not already on the shelves. What happened was I had gotten a laundry detergent product that looked like it had something that looked like vomit on top of it, but I didn't realize it until I got to checkout. Immediately after I brought the issue up to the cashier, she right away asked a staff member on her walkie talkie to bring up some extra products of the same thing to me. That is a great example of how customer service should be - going above and beyond when it's least expected. Solid work, Target. I'll be back at this location again if I ever need to be in the Troy area for any reason. read more

I would give this Target 3.5 stars but I'll round it up to 4. I visit this target once a week and have the same experience every time. They always have everything I need when I need it and the staff is always friendly. I love how it's near literally everything...Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Somerset Mall, a couple of restaurants...all within 5 minutes. I absolutely hate the layout of this particular location. Luckily I buy the same 2-3 items every week so I know where they are, but if I ever need anything else, I literally have to walk down each aisle to find it. You wouldn't think to find pet supplies where the home goods are. Where you think something is...it's probably not there. The wait to checkout is always long as they only have 1-2 registers open at a time and the self checkout went from 4 to 2 registers because of COVID. Well, when they're marked down to $3.00 from $12.00 you better get them while you can. I didn't mean to, but I bought NINE bags of Hershey Kisses for $0.69 each. I am a teacher, so they are *all for my students* :) I actually spent $42 on Christmas markdowns. 75% OFF! You gotta love it when it says at the end of your receipt "You saved $123.98"! Other than after Christmas, I do frequent this Target every time I am home to see the family. What ever you need, they have. I like their stock of workout clothes. Prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. I went there for can recycling first the team member called another teammember in gust service,she came want me to recount all the can and she told me they don't take back just the one target sale she was extremely rude I told her I work in anthor target and we don't even re count the cans because we trust or guest, she said go to the other target in a very bad manner. This is not the Target I go to usually, I was just in the area and needed some items. The layout of the store is odd and confusing. I had to walk around the entire store several times to find the aisles I needed (why would they sandwich candles between two party supply aisles??). They were also poorly stocked in just about everything. This could be because of the pandemic, but Target is one store that's been pretty reliable so far in remaining well-stocked through Covid, so I was disappointed. I spent over an hour here and still didn't get everything I needed. They do have a better grocery section than most Targets and one staff member was very helpful in checking stock on an item and retrieving it from the back for me. read more

The electronic employees are wonderful, the store neat and organized as expected for the Target brand. The restroom is the complete opposite from the barely flushing toilets, the overflowing trash, dirty floors, punctured walled stalls where the toilet paper holder used to be and only one of the two paper towel holders had paper towels. I never have a good experience when I use the online services. My orders go to different states. Items are missing out of order. No one answers the phone when you call. Today my experience was no different, except for a diligent Sales Associate by the name of Kiianah. She was both pleasant and professional. She was ever so patient. I like this Target location due to its proximity to my house, it's updated and has ample parking. It is also a great location with nearby Kohls, Home Depot, Kroger, Old Navy, etc. However, I find that a lot of items are not carried at this particular location for some odd reason, you either have to go to the Southfield location (not a fan) or order online (annoying). Store employees seem perplexed as well, the store is quite large so it seems that most items should be sold in store. However, this store has a large grocery selection and plenty of household items and clothes. They also have a Starbucks and a Pizza Hut inside if your thirsty or hungry. The customer service is always above average and checkout times are usually pretty quick, especially since they opened the new self-checkout lanes recently. read more

I've been to a grocery store once in the past 4 weeks and 2 days. Today was my second trip because 1) it's my son's Birthday and 2) I had run out of toilet paper and a few other essentials. As I was exiting the Target location in Rochester, MI, security called me over and asked me to do him a favor and tell the nurses that I work with that we aren't allowed into Target anymore because someone called and made a complaint about my presence. I love this Target...it's as good as they come. Unfortunately it's out of my way so I only drive up here if I'm going to be nearby. I feel like the people are little nicer here, the selection far more vast and they have the grocery section that looks pretty solid though I haven't actually put it to use as of yet. I was there today looking for new kitchen chairs on a whim, hoping I'd find something as cheap as IKEA without having to venture there...to no avail but I still prefer this location over any others. This store has totally changed since they stopped the over night stocking crew...shelves are very empty...stocking carts and baskets clutter the isle ways..employees are not as nice..which I can understand they are now stocking the store..they are even complaining on the sales floor while working.......I do feel very sorry for them..however we the customer pay their wages by buying the products in the store. The very best area of the store is the CVS prescription area..they are so very nice..and extremely helpful.....thank you Bathrooms are not very clean at all......snack bar area has some very nice girls working there..however the credit card machine is very dirty..cleaning is a very large part of this stores problem.... grocery area..has out dated food items..such as the pre made salads..either they have no date or expired Very hard to find someone on the sales floor to help you... I shop this store because it is so close...... Management: If you felt payroll was too much with the over night crew..you did yourself and your customers a disservice....retail is one one of the hardest jobs to have..I know, almost 50 yrs of retail myself....treat your staff well and they will work hard for you...don't cut back on hrs. these associates need their hours and a good paycheck to live...... I had a terrible experience today at Target. Two items (of which I managed to notice) on my receipt did not have the price as it was marked in the store. I went directly from the cashier to the customer service with my receipt to get my money back. After much deliberation, one item was returned and I received my money back but there was an unnecessary and inaccurate statement made by the employee to me regarding the price for the second item as it was advertised in the store. Please instruct your employees that the customer is always right and do not make statements to them which are untrue. After my bill was adjusted to the price I told them was advertised at the front of the store where the item was retrieved I went back to check and re read the sign. The Target employee (Britney) stated that the price I quoted was for on line purchases and pick ups only and this was stated so on the sign next to the item. This was in fact not so. The sign stated only the name of the item and the sale price which I stated to the employee. I have not been to or purchased anything at Target in years and after today's experience, I will never return again. Your store does not have prices that are marked with the items in the store match the prices when rung up at the cashier. This accompanied with poor customer relations is a toxic combination. read more

Staff is rude & unhelpful. Even after showing bank statement, plus my credit card along with the gaming card I purchased. They made it a hassle to get a copy of my receipt to be able to use the activation code on the game I had purchased from them. Next time tell your customers to not throw away a receipt when originally activation codes used to be on the physical game card and we're only activated once purchased through the pos. After returning twice, the smart remark I get with a copy of my receipt is "maybe you should take a picture of it so you don't lose it." Thanks for the exceptional service! my absolute favorite target in the area. the beauty section alone is enough to keep me coming back. it's always well stocked and clean, and usually has what i need. i always enter through the pharmacy of this store, because that end of the store is usually very quiet. this store is always clean, and employees are very friendly! i was looking around and an employee even stopped to ask me if i needed help, which is extremely rare these days. i cannot tell you the last time i was greeted or acknowledged by a department store employee. they have a huge wine section, which is always a plus. the grocery section itself is pretty standard, but this store has been known to have newer items before other grocery stores like kroger, meijer, etc. i will definitely keep coming here! it's not the closest store to me but the customer service and cleanliness is worth the drive. read more

With the demise of the Sears Portrait Studios, Target Portraits make an excellent local alternative to family photos and milestone moments. PROTIP: Always look for Target coupons (from the register) or online packages. They always have $9.99 sitting deals and photo packages at discount prices. Don't pay full price! I brought my child for his two month photos at the studio, having lucked out on getting to a professional infant photographer on time. Sigh. As this was during the Christmas rush, the studio was hopping busy at the time of my sitting. We ended up waiting 15 minutes past our appointment. The studio had a bit of a three-ring circus atmosphere, completely understandable given the timing and the rather cramped waiting room open to the electronics section. Target could improve matters by making this a separate room, more like the Kohl's and JC Penney in Canton. Prior to entering the studio, I was asked to select a backdrop for the photo session and any specific details I wanted for composition. Since I know next to nothing about photographing babies, even very happy and compliant ones like mine, I opted to let the experts make the decisions. We picked two seasonal backgrounds and I packed along an extra outfit, a Christmas sleeper, for a midphoto change. As any seasoned parent can tell you, don't. Just don't. Flipping baby into his onesie between shots only upset him and made me feel terribly rushed. On a normal day, midweek outside of a key holiday, this might work. Not with a lobby full of babbling toddlers and cranky tweens. The photographers work quickly setting up the various props. Baby was put in a basket and shot from several angles. The female photographer coaxed several silly smiles out of him, though he was of course reluctant and suspicious instead of chirpy, which he is with every stranger, in every environment, except a photo studio. When he started to get upset post-outfit change, I did feel a tad rushed but they worked their best to keep him happy with the props they had. We got a few funny shots of a grumpy baby. Packages are selected after the front-desk employees go through different shots and load them into predesigned templates that produce your images. This part takes about 15 to 30 minutes depending on whether specialized images are involved. I opted for New Years cards, so we did some additional typing and image selection. I also used a GroupOn discount that gave me a certain number of images for free and then a hefty 40% discount on all additional images. PROTIP: When you buy images, you usually receive a bunch of discount coupons for new sittings and further image purchases. The photos are loaded into an online album where you can further muck about with them using their online image manipulator. You can order extra 5x7s for Grandma and relatives you didn't know you had, at reasonable prices. All in all, Target Portrait Studios does nice work at a fraction of the cost for a professional sitter. read more

Always clean, typically have what we need, normally some decent deals on items. Oh and there is a Starbucks located inside. That is about where it ends in terms of positives. My two biggest gripes are: 1. Sales Associates... NEVER around, at least when I need one. The only area where I have had consistent good help was the pharmacy. Everywhere else... meh. 2. Checking out... How long does it seriously take to ring people up? and what is the point of an express lane, when its not express like? I always tack on 10-15 minutes to my budgeted visit duration when going here for checkout. SO SLOW. :( read more

This Target is pretty awesome. A lot of things like dishwasher detergent, paper towels, makeup, etc., are cheaper here than at, say, Meijer. I also like that they have a lot of naturally-derived cleaning products like Method and Mrs. Meyers. The checkout lanes are efficient. There's often an employee by the checkout lanes who will direct you to a certain checkout lane, which helps speed things up. Also, if you bring your own shopping bags, you'll get 5 cents off per bag. Aisles are numbered, which is really nice when you have to buy something from a wedding registry. (Curse you, Bed Bath and Beyond for not having any numbered aisles!) The pharmacy is the best. I never have to wait very long for a prescription to be filled, and it's really easy to kill 15-20 minutes shopping around before I pick up my prescription. I also like that the bottles are easy to open and clearly labeled. The pharmacy technicians are always really helpful and have given me some tips/heads ups on some prescriptions, which is nice. Too many pharmacies don't bother telling you anything. They are also sensitive to customers' privacy. One time the boyfriend was standing nearby, and the pharmacy technician, not knowing we were together, waited until he walked away before she started telling me about a prescription. The optical department runs some really good promotions. I ended up returning my glasses and sunglasses, though, because I didn't really like the frames. Sadly, although the service was great and the optician was really nice, the selection of frames was a bit too limited for me. The boyfriend got a really nice pair of sunglasses for only $60 or so, though. The store gets really busy on weekends as well as during the holiday season, so I try to go during off-peak hours. read more

Never had a bad experience here. Parking lot is always clear of wandering carts. Shelves are always stocked and organized, dressing room is always cleared. They appear to keep the right amount of staff on duty because I never, I don't think ever, had to wait in a line more than one person ahead of me. For instance: 1) frozen Tombstone cheese pizzas 2) cat beds with raised walls 3) 8.5 x 11 sticker-sealing envelopes with bubble-wrap interiors I cry injustice! Troy always has more of everything! My local target. The staff here are usually very friendly and welcoming. When Best Buy doesn't have what I need, I come up to target to grab it. Their Blu Ray collection isn't quite as good as other retailers, but they often have camera lenses on sale which is a benefit as a photographer. The store is very clean and updated and management will also try to accommodate any issues you have, in my experience. They don't have a Pizza Hut inside though :( read more
