Love me a target run and I am happy to have one even closer... However, this location is one of the "express" type stores...meaning, it is smaller with less inventory than your larger / average store. It is a little less predictable on what they will have and it is recommended that you check the app to see the likelihood of whether what you need is a) carried and b) in stock. It, like most stores, has the Starbucks up front and accepts the red card and target circle. There are a few cashier lines and self checkout lines. One area that usually is a pain is the women's dressing room area. Given the size of the store, it is in the middle with only two "rooms". One is very small with no seat and the other is large with a bench. The hanging rack is small so it can get crowded and when in the little one, there is limited space to put your personal items. The fitting rooms can get very backed up with items despite the go back rack/bin right outside which is partially on the customer but also on the staff to make sure it is maintained. There usually is not an attendant standing there, so make sure you unlock the door when you leave so it doesn't get locked leaving someone else unable to get in after you. And if it is really busy, i would recommend that you go over to the men's side as that is often open. I would recommend this store if you are in a hurry or need something in particular and it's a small/targeted run - otherwise, you may want to go to the Woburn or Saugus location. read more

Because it is the suburbs, I was expecting a gigantic Target but this smaller one exceeded my expectations in the beauty department! I am usually in the Watertown location (it is big), but this one had a better selection of beauty items with great lighting and signage. The only thing I needed was Marshmallow Fluff which they did not have (note to store manager: ALWAYS have Fluff, it is a Massachusetts staple!), but armed with everything else on my list I was happy and breezed through the self-checkout area with no trouble read more

Awesome smaller Target. Always kind. Management especially the night crew are amazing, kind, helpful, patient and everything is always clearly marked, stocked and clean. Even tho they have the challenge of the local kids that hangout out front and cause a ruckus on their bikes and make a huge mess they still operate safely and efficiently. Why you might ask?, reach time when I tried to report they would ask for either the last four or all sixteen digits of the card. It's a Target and it's near by, but I am not enamored with the small store format. They don't have all of the items I will want during one visit which means we still have to drive to Woburn or Saugus. On a good note, the store is nice and new and it beats an abandoned Shaws. I would like to see some Super Target stores in the area like they have in other parts of the country. Parking is plentiful and store is easily accessible in the Redstone shopping plaza. read more

This is such a sad, little Target. Walked in here expecting a TARGET, and basically got 14% of an actual Target store. Why even have this location in Stoneham, which has NOTHING I need in stock, when there's the huge, amazing, Target of my dreams in Woburn. I wanted to save 10 minutes so I decided to just head to this one for the first time instead of the Woburn location, which I normally goto. BIG MISTAKE. You know the dollar bins/3 dollar section that all Targets have right when you walk in...yknow, the section that literally COMPELS you to walk over to it and throw money away on a shitload of things you don't need (3 pack of tiny metal pots I'm looking at YOU!!)?? Well, don't fear that happening at the Stoneham Target. Because it's literally the SADDEST dollar section I've ever seen (see attached photos, yes...I literally stood there photographing their shitty selection, I'm surprised no one came over and asked me to leave). Against my better judgment I decided to continue on in the store and see if they had anything that I need...spoiler alert, they didn't. So now I'm off to the Woburn location. So much for saving ten minutes. Oh well, they have a really clean bathroom, so one star for that... Just kidding, you know I can't leave zero stars and the bathroom is only immaculate cause no one shops here. read more

Over the years I've changed from do the majority of my discount shopping at Walmart to at Target. Target just seems to have a more ethical vision, as a company, and these new small-format stores are continuing to succeed. I can surely see why... and can already say that this store will be successful. While the location isn't all that great, their big red logo is on a large billboard like thing on the building and can be seen from Main Street (Rt 28). Though, if you are not aware, they are in the former Shaw's building behind the large Redstone Plaza on Route 28 (about three minutes off I-95). The store is smaller than a normal Target (like the one in Woburn, a mere ten minutes away), but also larger than most of the other "fun-sized" locations like the Brookline store (it's a former supermarket!). While I do like to complain a great deal, I have to say that the selection is good all around and the layout is perfect. It's similar to a regular Target with about half the merchandise (maybe a little less). Barely any sections have been completely done away with. Housewares, office supplies, clothing, and some of the other Target departments that you think may not be here are! Staff are friendly and between the amount of Self Checkout registers and staffed registers, there is a good balance for whichever you prefer. No price increase since it's smaller and more local, and price matches are also still available. Can't be five stars since it is always pretty tempting to go to Woburn instead (since I don't live in the area, that one is just an exit closer to be, if I were to be heading out this way), just because they always have everything I could ask for. Here can become inconvenient if I want to be able to get everything I need with an assortment of coupons and Cartwheel offers. 4 stars. Check it out. Good spot for Stoneham residents to get general merchandise and groceries without a far trek. read more

Jumping in to rave about this store while others are complaining about it for reasons that really don't contribute to what the store itself provides. When it first opened, it was pretty much known to everyone in the town that it's supposed to be a smaller than the typical Target. So if you wanted that full Target experience, go to one of the bigger Targets, but for a quick errand, I almost always am able to get what I need. My favorite is the grocery section - seriously they have enough of what I would need and not need to make an extra stop at Stop and Shop (We are already there picking up our daily coffee at Starbucks). Yes- there are times when I'm standing in the grocery section staring at un-boxed produce and wanted to help un-box some lol so I can get those Halo tangerines hidden inside. Then the next day those boxes are gone, and you see a new replenish grocery isle full of fresh produce. They'll do it- people just have shifts. One time I was looking for Wonder bread, I asked the guy re-stocking a shelf nearby if there were any, and he said oh he's the muffin man =) he doesn't do Wonder bread lol. Next day, there's wonder bread. The prices are all reasonable too! Always $3.99 for tangerines while SNS and even Market Basket sells them at $5.99!! Target prices is like SNS sale prices. I don't need to buy a whole lot, as I am there everyday and just pick up what I need each day. Had no issues with finding bath sponges, earphones, some toys, plastic drawers, a good selection of those bullseye $1 items, avocados, lemon, bottled coffee, chips, cookies, hot pockets. Seriously, they have everything for a quick run. I personally love that it is smaller so I don't have to spend a whole lot of time looking for where things are. The staffs are all great, from cashier to Starbucks to CVS Pharmacy. Target CVS is guuuuuuuureat- I switched to them after having terrible experience with the independent CVS pharmacy down the street. Lindsey the manager and her staffs are so nice, they makes sure you get what you need, when you need it, helps you with pre-authorization prescriptions and applies coupons for ones that they do have so your co-pay reduces. The CVS down the street, made me call the doctors myself and said they couldn't do anything until i get it pre-authorized myself and of course didn't bother to help minimize any sort of co-pays. This is a really great Target and at times they may have staffing challenges so I really hope they get through that and it stays for many years to come. read more

This is my first experience with the new, small-format Targets, and I'm pretty pleased overall. The selection is obviously more limited than its larger siblings, but I've been able to find just about everything I've needed here. Granted, I usually only stop by for household essentials, but I haven't been to the Woburn Target since this store opened. Also to note - both the clothing and the grocery sections seems to be on par with the normal-sized stores. Other positives include a massive parking lot that I've never seen crowded (a rarity among Targets), a Starbucks and CVS Pharmacy inside, and no lines at checkout. The excess parking and quick checkouts may change as business picks up, but it's welcome while it lasts. The only real knock I have on this location, and probably this small-store format overall, is that the aisles are extremely narrow. I've had numerous awkward encounters trying to squeeze by other shoppers, and you really can't avoid it. It's more annoying than you may think when looking for a particular item. Overall, I would call this new location a success - try it out before trekking to Woburn or elsewhere. read more

Contrary to others opinions, the small store format makes for a more convenient shopping experience. I find it easy to run in for quick items without having to navigate a cavernous store. They seem to have a few of many things given the size of the space. I will go up to Woburn for more selections, if needed. I always check online store inventory before heading out! The self-checkouts are fantastic! It is the day and age for more automated check out. Find it convenient and efficient despite a slow customer once in a while. Bottom line, this store is a very local convenient option with some limitations. Staff are great! read more

Asked an associate for assistance with unlocking a peg so i could buy something. He was new and untrained, asked Cally (I believe this was her name, shes definitely a manager) for help, she seemed like she had a ton of things going on but made it seem like I was the priority since i was waiting. Dropped what she was doing, unlocked the item for me. Rang me up and the price was showing as $100 instead of $50 (it was a different item, more expensive) so i told her i would pass as i only wanted to pay the $50 price that was on the peg. Without hesitation, Cally checked the price and changed it for me, no questions asked. Then thanked me for being patient while the new associate had to run and grab her. A+ customer service and will keep me shopping @ this target. read more

They never have anything in stock and the store is always a mess. The staff is nice and the staff at the CVS inside the store are helpful though. Just spend an extra 15 minutes and go to the Woburn location (your wallet won't thank you) read more

It's Target, it's close by. Good for quick pick ups. Eggs, milk, bread, some pharmacy stuff. I get that it's one of those unique, smaller storefronts. But I feel like they'd benefit from a larger grocery section, since the only other grocery store in the town is Stop& Shop. Unnecessarily large home section - womens section is touch & go for selection. Checkout leaves a bit to be desired - a lot of self checkout which can get backed up with customers who are not used to it. read more

I went to Target yesterday to make a return. The service desk was very busy. No match for the lady working there named Cynthia! She was assisting patrons, taking phone calls, and helping out fellow workers and not missing a beat! All with a pleasurable smile! She is the reason I yelped. I want to let everyone know the CVS pharmacists are great in this store and the assistant also. I have been going to CVS pharmacy for years and I never got the best customer service from the previous CVS pharmacy I dealt with. This pharmacist is so nice and personable to the customers. What a tiny little store this is. Where is anything you're looking for?...same place as the Target in Woburn (aka - who the #*&$ knows). Needed a furnace filter and figured I won't mess around and go somewhere that might not have it, I'll go to Target. Well turns out this Target does not have them so I ended up doing what others said already which is went to the target in Woburn. I don't see any reason to go to this one given they have about half of everything you might need on a good day. read more
